    Given MIT's hostility towards the east side dormitories and their culture, I find it very distasteful for them to be bragging about it here as a selling point. (I'm a Senior Haus alum)

      He did say to not call out his lies. I find that universities are very silo'd institutions. Recruiters and figureheads try to establish a unifying culture, but each department runs things their own way. Still, public perception drives a university's identity, because that determines the type of students who try to apply as well as the energy carried by the students going in. The student culture is a lot different from say the administrator culture. People who become administrators tend to have power trip tendencies.
