I remember when I was a soldier, I was on guard on a remote area on an island. My shift was from 4 to 6 am and when it ended the sun was rising and the sky had a beautiful colour. I put my headphones on and listened to this. I was alone, surrounded only by nature. I was at peace and felt happiness within me and I was looking to the East thinking of China. May I be fortunate enough to travel there one day.

She took him in without a care that he was an unknown spirit that may bring her harm, and tended to him with such a warm kindness that he could not comprehend. He could not comprehend how she had a kindness that transcends boundaries, a kindness that was given to all with no expectations of it being returned to herself. She was just a beautiful soul, a beautiful soul filled with wisdom from her hardships. Her eyes held time beyond her years, her hands a healing warmth to all that needed her help.
Perhaps that was the reason he decided to stay by her side. She was a star, an illuminating figure that warmed his heart whenever he looked at her.
Gradually, as time went by, she began to see fewer spirits. Gradually, her heart began to crack of pain as they slowly faded out of her vision as if they never existed. She began to view the world like an ordinary human, and the thought of losing her ability to see the spirits broke her heart again and again like a hammer pounding on glass. She never found the courage in her to tell them that she would soon be unable to see them, to never be able to see his warm eyes gazing at her again.
Years past, and her eyes no longer linger on them. She no longer gave them a warm smile in greeting, or words to comfort their lonely hearts. Her eyes were no longer able to see them, and it brought them to great sorrow when they remembered the day she had completely lost her ability, crying as if she had lost her family. Yet through all of this, they were still there, unable to be seen, but to be felt. The gentle light they shined on her never faded, just like his warm touch that caressed her face like a breeze.
Through it all, he was still there, unable to be seen by the person he loved the most, yet still there by her side.

Whenever I listen to Chinese music, I think of my late love, who was herself Chinese, and I miss her.... Miss her eyes, her voice and her touch 😢 We were separated but never stopped loving one another. However, unfortunately, she lost her life in a traffic accident in August of 2020. 😢😢😢 I miss her 😞
I'm so sorry for your loss. I think I can understand how you feel. I married a Chinese woman in 2014, both in our 50s. We took a chance but found over 6 years that our different cultures, backgrounds, interests, opinions and aspirations destroyed a loving relationship. She decided to divorce ('amicably') in late 2020 and remains in England. We travelled to China a few times and I loved the experience. Music like this transports me there and I mourn for the loss of everything good about our time together. It's a different story and the sadness of your partner's passing must be so hard. I don't mean to make you feel more sad but to let you know that I truly sympathise with your situation.

I have a little story - When I was in the 3rd grade I had a friend (we will call him V) that was in the 6th grade at the time. Since I didn’t have a lot of friends in my class, I would always hang out with him. Around October, he was diagnosed with cancer. I didn’t understand. I remembered him not coming to school on a Monday months later, only to find out he passed away on Sunday. At that time I still didn’t understand what death was, I went home and told my mom about it, and I felt broken for the first time in my life. I now have gotten over his passing but I still remember how nice V was to me, thank you, so much, I will never for get you. ❤️

I was never the one for nowadays music. Just seems so degrading for the mind. Though I listened to it just to fit in with my friends. Ive always loved country, instrumentals, and chinese bamboo flute music. Ive never showed or told anyone because I think theyll be like wtf is wrong with you haha. But hearing this music just makes me feel so at ease inside and warm. Makes me feel like im loved and all my problems that are crashing down on me are set aside. Anytime i feel down or at a low point I throw this on and breath. I want to learn more about japanese and chinese culture and want to have trips out there.

This song is so breathtaking and beautiful. I’m half Asian, and this reminds me of my culture so much. I never got to learn much of it, but this song reminds me of it, and just makes me feel so at peace with myself with who I am as a person. It reminds me of my grandpa who’s passed away and the song tells a story. I can’t fathom how well written this song is, to me personally, it’s one of my favorite pieces of music.
I have been listening to this piece for the past few days on loop. Somehow, this piece starts off slow, calming, and ends with an epic feeling.
