Actually I really admire this author being able to portray all characters as in like building up their personality without mixing them up/forgetting them. The author also able to move readers emotionally & able to make people remember every characters without us readers forgetting any of them is truly amazing! When I usually read a book I tent to forget another character other than the protagonist, but this... The author is really AMAZING!. It's truly amazing & that's the word I can only describe as I can remember all the characters in TGCF, MDZS & currently reading Scumbag System. THE AUTHOR DESERVES MORE RECOGNITION!
Seeing that all her novels are adapted to Animation or even live action, I think the author is very satisfied and must be very proud of her baby books 😊

The thing I really loved about their relationship was the consent and respect between them.. Hua Cheng never forced his decisions upon Xie Lian even when he didn't like these decisions and knew it might end badly. He advised him for sure but if he saw that Xie Lian did not agree he let it go immediately. He just decided to protect him all the way and not provide any obstacles. Isn't that what true love is? Respecting your partner's decisions no matter what and accepting them for who they are. Just staying by their side. The same goes for Xie Lian. When he sees that Hua Cheng doesn't want to tell something he never forces him. He respects the boundaries and lets him tell everything at his own pace. They both respected each other's boundaries and never forced each other. That's what's so rare. They trusted each other to death and respected and loved each other. That's what's so precious for me atleast😶😌❤️!! I hope I get to read more such amazing novels/stories where consent, respect and such true love is depicted instead of extreme possessiveness or force! ❤️❤️

and when I re-read the beginning of the novel I saw that Xie lian said the exact same thing ("there is no banquet in this world that doesn't end" line), so even after finishing the novel I still was surprised and delighted. Seriously one of the best works I have read so far.

It's the love in his eyes for me. I never really realised while reading the book how much he truly is in love with him, but after I watched the donghua and saw the scenes where he is so shy and stuff- And then I think abt how much he suffered, it just hurts.

Tgcf is one of the few novels I've finished with a heavy heart. Because it's more than just about two people falling in love. It touches upon societal expectations, herd mentality, and other issues that parallel our current reality. Most of the characters are fully fleshed out, with solid motivations and justifications for their deeds. And that's what makes the novel all the more heartbreaking. Nobody is totally in the wrong, yet not everyone can get their happy ending. This is life for you I guess. Not me getting all emotional in the middle of the night cuz of the soundtrack and writing this short review haha.
I think this can also be said for MDZS but in darker tones. Have you read the entire series? The second of TGCF is about to be released. I still have to finish the first one xD

I never really thought I would find a character who defines me perfectly until I met Hua Cheng. I don't love openly and I never trusted anyone. I always had my guard up, I always thought that people would never be kind or good just for being good... until I met my love. She was so openly kind and loving to me, she was good for just being good, she was kind to everyone and took great care in all that was in need. She couldn't be more opposite than me. I loved her for years, and she didn't know, I waited because I knew there was no one else in this world that I value more, I love her with all my being, I may not trust the world but I trust her more than anything else. And seeing all the trials she had to face and watching without being able to do anything is honestly...the worst thing I could ever experience. I want to give her the world, and I will do anything in my power for her to have it. Now watching and reading Heaven's Official Blessing it's weird and comforting to see the relationship that we have, unfold with Hua Cheng and Xie Lian (ngl Hua Cheng really called me out). I may not be immortal but I understand loving someone to eternity. She is my Xie Lian, and I will love her forever.

He's just much much nobler than he thinks he is. I just finished the novel...my heart actually hurt and I REALLY CRIED TRUE TEARS, all throughout. The second hand embarrassment, and the emotions I havent mentioned flowed so beautifully. @burningthemidnightoil and hua cheng, his love is just so so so precious, he has given so much. Such great is his love some would think it can only come from moms. He's just much much nobler than he thinks he is. I admire him with all my heart, but to be like him, I don't think I can, to love unconditionally, to be willing to protect a person who has barely exchanged any words with you, without anything in return is just.... too noble

I can't even read the whole novel bcz everytime i read it i was crying after that and i wake up with my swollen eyes 😔😔. I'm already rewatch the donghua for 5 times and listening the ost before sleep. I can say that tgcf is ny comfort zone to believe that love is really true. The way huacheng don't want to leave this world bcz his beloved still there, they way he sacrificed his life just to protect xie lian, i don't even know why i feel hurt when remember that 😔😔. This is such a beautiful story!!! I feel sad but i feel happy too. I'm getting emotional right now

@@linhmy6838 where Xie Lian and squad just got back to the Heavenly Court after General Pei and XuanJi’s mess and discussed stuff with Ling Wen and everyone. that’s when Xie Lian thanked Feng Xin and Mu Qing for helping him (sending Fu Yao and Nan Feng) and they both got surprised :”) idk it just makes me super emotional
Ikr, especially that one frame with Feng Xin when he went silent as XiaLian thanked them both. The way we can't see his eyes makes it emotional somehow

I just finished the novel...my heart actually hurt and I REALLY CRIED TRUE TEARS, all throughout. The second hand embarrassment, and the emotions I havent mentioned flowed so beautifully. I had been numb the past few months and im a new, sensitive person. I read this obsessively for days and I feel like my life is over. Should I read the other two? Are they as good?
Edit: I read mdzs and working on svsss. They are still amazing but my god tgcf still has my heart
