In the released cut we are just supposed to see it as 2 psychos in love thats why the movie calls Harley his Queen. In the original Ayer Cut which was the directors intended version both Joker and Harley had arcs. In the original cut Joker seduces Harley to escape but ends up finding he has some actual feelings for her so he doesn't kill her and eventually he turns her into Harley Quin. Later on Harley would see more of Jokers darkside when in the original Helicopter scene Joker got pissed and tossed her from the Helicopter instead of pushing her to safety like in the released version. Eventually in the Ayer Cut Harley decides not to join Joker so she can help her friends but eventually by the end of the movie Joker returns to force her to go with him. In the original ending when Joker showed up to take Harley she was scared of him and he was pissed about her making him waste his time coming after her. In the released ending they reshot it to make it seem like they both love each other and are happy to see each other. But the real answer to the relationship is that in the released cut they try to paint it as they both do in fact love each other. However in the original intended cut Joker was going to be portrayed as an abusive possessive boyfriend that you eventually wanted Harley to get free off.

We were supposed to get one but Margot Robbie thought an all ladies movie would be better without the joker. Instead of getting birds of prey a little later on in the years right now the joker and Harley movie would have been out

Unpopular opinion, but I liked jared‘s joker, I thought he was good, and he was good in the movie (for like 10 minutes) but they should have not fired him and let him do it again in his own joker movie that would have been awesome, I believe that Jared’s joker is Tim drake (Robin) so that would mean that both jokers (heaths and Jared’s) would not be the same, since one is joker and the other is Tim drake, I just think that jared did a nice take on the character.

Jared Leto doesn’t do the character any justice. First off, nothing to do with his performance, Leto was a fucking asshole to his cast mates. Nobody liked the “pranks” he did. Now it’s not entirely his fault, but the writers fault, however his performance isn’t great either. He’s completely not relatable as a character, he makes 0 impact on the story, and for some reason, they decided to sexualize him. The Joker has never been sexy in anything other than suicide squad. Also, his laugh was absolute dogshit, it doesn’t give the impression that he’s a maniac, or crazy, or anything. It’s fucking horrible. His tattoos are a lazy way to make him seem crazy, and he’s extremely “flashy” for the Joker. It’s fine if you like him, but those reasons are why I and many others consider him to be the worst Joker.

Harley and Joker was my sister’s and mine favorite character in this movie. When he “died” we guided he didn’t actually die because HOW COULD YOU KILL THE JOKER? But it made us really scared. Then when this scene came on…we have never reacted to a movie scene so enthusiastically before…we were screaming and dancing and jumping…I stood up on the couch and just started screaming 😂😂😂 We were so happy

Yeah, but this isn't one of those two Jokers. This Joker - in ways - is closer to BTAS Joker. That Joker was in a kind of psychopathic love with Harley Quinn. It's an unpopular opinion, but I actually liked Let's Joker better than Jack Nicholson's Joker. I never liked Jack's Joker...even when I watched Tim Burton's Batman in theaters. If Leto had dialed it back just a little and he'd been the big bad the squad was after, Suicide Squad would have been a much better movie. Even the director of the film admitted that. He brought a coiled snake danger to the character. Like he's always on the edge of killing someone.
My take on this is that, when Harley was talking to Enchantress and told her she lost her "Puddin" then asked her if she could bring him back, and she answered "Yes, anything you want", I think at that very moment she did indeed bring him back to life, and thus he did this and then we got "Birds of Prey", just my opinion!!!...
I would like to see joker and Harley Quinn have a good relationship, nothing abusive in the mix. Real love. Still crazy in The head but not too each other.
This joker is very very different from the comics and cartoons and previous movies. He actually has feelings for Harley, he actually TRIES TO DO SOMETHING to help Harley, that is insane... That is not the real joker and that is not their real relationship... However this version is more attractive for the audience who still want to believe in love, no matter how crazy. On the other hand, every scene in this movie is basically a recollection of Harley, in her insane twisted mind she is thinking of joker's actions as tokens of love. But the fact that he actually killed a guy for making a comment on Harley, the fact that he tried rescuing her from danger he is acting all knight in the shinning armour, indeed very different from the real joker, but still people loved him.
I wish it would be the end of their story instead of what we saw in Birds of Prey. Such a beautiful and toxic love. P. S. Everyone who wants to tell me how unhealthy this is just save it, OK?

Can't deny that its kinda romantic how joker busts her out of jail. Then she runs to him and hugs him. And calls him pudding. And he says lets go home.

y'know on some level i always knew that they would force Joker and Harley to break up in the next movie
what i _didn't_ see coming was that it would happen at the same time that a movie dedicated to showing the Joker as a tragic and sympathetic character was being awarded two Oscars
...although if i somehow did know that would happen, i'm sure i could've predicted that people wouldn't even see the irony of it

Heath Ledger's or Joaquin Phoenix's Joker would have killed her in her cell after breaking it open just for the thrills. Joker doesn't have an ounce of humanity inside him. There's no way he could love Harley Quinn

Yeah, but this isn't one of those two Jokers. This Joker - in ways - is closer to BTAS Joker. That Joker was in a kind of psychopathic love with Harley Quinn. It's an unpopular opinion, but I actually liked Let's Joker better than Jack Nicholson's Joker. I never liked Jack's Joker...even when I watched Tim Burton's Batman in theaters.
If Leto had dialed it back just a little and he'd been the big bad the squad was after, Suicide Squad would have been a much better movie. Even the director of the film admitted that. He brought a coiled snake danger to the character. Like he's always on the edge of killing someone.
Probably saved her to keep using her and abusing her for his crimes since she’s one of the only people that’ll do anything for him
They should have made a movie about them it would have been huge even if people want to lie. I didn't watch the one about her we all wanted it.

My take on this is that,
when Harley was talking to Enchantress and told her she lost her "Puddin" then asked her if she could bring him back, and she answered "Yes, anything you want", I think at that very moment she did indeed bring him back to life, and thus he did this and then we got "Birds of Prey", just my opinion!!!...

The Suicide Squad should have had Joker as a target. That would have been more interesting.
When you finally think you can move on
This joker is very very different from the comics and cartoons and previous movies. He actually has feelings for Harley, he actually TRIES TO DO SOMETHING to help Harley, that is insane... That is not the real joker and that is not their real relationship... However this version is more attractive for the audience who still want to believe in love, no matter how crazy. On the other hand, every scene in this movie is basically a recollection of Harley, in her insane twisted mind she is thinking of joker's actions as tokens of love. But the fact that he actually killed a guy for making a comment on Harley, the fact that he tried rescuing her from danger he is acting all knight in the shinning armour, indeed very different from the real joker, but still people loved him.
