i am finally back in my favorite city on earth! i was only here for one whole day but thanks to nyc and the people in it, i feel so inspired and full again. because i was trying to be safe, i didnt take the subway as much or linger inside places so i hope to be back again when things are better and show you even more of this pretty little city, my darling new york! sending love always!!

Native NYer and NYU Alum here. Never apologize for staying in the Village, East or West. I have traveled all over the world and I just keep coming back to the West Village. It's my favorite neighborhood in the City.
I arrived in NYC 23 years ago as a young, hungry 20-something eager to take a bite out of the Big Apple and I zig-zagged around Manhattan before finally settling down in Greenwich Village/NoHo. Now I am older, a bit jaded, and about 5 years from retirement. I have pondered the thought of retiring somewhere with a slower pace, less expensive, and with better weather. But the thought of leaving all of this behind is tempting as much as it is terrifying. It's good to have a fresh perspective on this amazing city, such as yours, to remind me why I am here and why every other place would be a big disappointment for me. Thank you for that.

Obviously I love love your Korea vlogs too because you are showing us new places that for example I personally never visited. But this vlog was even better to me as I live in NYC and most of the places you showed I literally walked around in the past weeks with my boyfriend. It was also great to see how happy you are in the city. Often when New Yorkers get used to the gray working days we forget how great this city is. So thank you for reminding me of it. 😊

It has been a huge week, I can't wait till my life gets back to normal, I have however been very lucky with my choice of new home, it is so much quieter than where I used to be, i'm so grateful for that.

I grew up in ny and when I travel I’ll meet people who lived there for a time, sometimes decades ago, and they describe it to me so vividly and specifically. There’s so much emotion to it and everyone feels like ny is theirs in a way but I really love how it’s something different to everyone.

i keep coming back to this video because it brings me such comfort. I go to school at NYU so this is eaclty the type of stuff i do when i hang out with my friends and to just see it being represented in a similar fashion by a creator that i love is so fulfilling lol.
Another freakin wonderful vlog. I cannot wait to be in New York this fall. I have to tell you since moving to the east coast I have experienced a variety of apples I never heard of before. My daughters favorite are honey crisps I am fond of pink lady’s.
That secret park one of the lady’s I follow used to have friends who lived in that neighborhood and their kids would play together there so she video stream inside once it’s so pretty 😍. Surprisingly NY has a lot of pockets of places like this parks that are residents only that people accidentally stumble upon.

I lived in NYC for several years. And I funny enough I used to the apartment in the apartment right next to The Strand. Literally walked in there everyday and would get stacks of books. Its good to see the farmers market again my sister and i would go a lot and buy fresh fruit. And once a day i would walk down to the park, eat a baked potato and be with the squirrels. It was a good time in my life. It makes me happy to see the city being alive. I hope i can go back again soon, this place will always be my second home.
When I was in NY I went to a mystery/crime novel specialized book store that was Soo cool!

There's no other place that matches New York's energy, scale, and contrast between the neighbourhoods. One of my favourite cities and it was cool to see the areas that you knew about. It's funny to see what people who know the subway system have to say about what they've seen or just using it; everyone has a story haha

Excellent video. I love movies set in NYC and watching people who really love the city talk about why they do. Yours has that warm/chill vibe where it feels like we're walking a couple steps behind or beside you, but you aren't being overtly tour-guidey if that makes sense. It's evening where I am but now I want an iced coffee and a croissant. I can almost smell those books too. One part dust, one part homework?
Since there are a lot of US vloggers too, I think you got the weird stares because you were wearing a mask out, on the street too. Same happens to me all the time, here in Hungary. No one wears a mask anymore, not even in closed places, like stores and pharmacies... The stares are the better though, bc sometimes I am getting insulted for still wearing a mask... no comment. Glad, you are staying safe too!

@@caricakes The church on the corner of 21st and Park has Christmas carols there. Really lovely. It's also usually open for a clean-and-green day in the spring. They have tables with free food, and people help with planting the tree surrounds around the park, etc.

the race to the track is real at penn station and the competition is brutal. one time a woman behind me was holding a cupcake in her hand while everyone was squeezing through the doors to the track and she must've forgot she had it in her hand because she tried to shove me and shoved her cupcake right into my back and hair. i wish i had the courage to ask her if it was worth it haha
