- Hi guys! I'm back from my short solo trip to Tokyo and have a nice big ole video to show for it. I honestly only saw maybe a quarter? even less? of the city and no time ever feels like enough. But I hit my favorite spots, visited a few new places, and took it slow to just enjoy being able to walk around a city like this! I know when we travel we have to be aware that we are in someone else's country and we need to stay cool, but those girls were just plain rude. I love how you catch little details here and there that really make the vlog unique and calming. The crescent moon hours before sunset, the clothes drying in the wind on someone's balcony, Mt Fuji in the background of Tokyo's skyscrapers, the little green bird on a branch outside of the cafe...

Leaving tokyo was probably the saddest thing I've ever done.
Tokyo was just my vide. I loved the endless exploring. I loved the big crowds. I loved meeting new people. Ahhhh
The endless exploring.. even as I grew tired of the extreme business of Tokyo life, I never grew tired of the endless tiny hidden areas that sometimes didn't have any major sights but are oh so charming.
And meeting and chatting with strangers is so easy in Japan, due to their curiosity. Tokyo is still one of my favourite cities to get lost in.
What drove me away was the superficiality of those interpersonal bonds, and people never having time for one another.. that and visa problems lol

It's so wonderful to see you enjoy your trip as much as you did, and dang this video seriously put such a huge smile on my face. Tokyo is my favourite city ever; I miss it so much but seeing it in the quintessential Cari style is truly so special and makes me wanna go back ASAP. I haven't been to a lot of these places (yet!) and it's a dream of mine to see Nakameguro in sakura season too. This vlog was seriously everything, thank you for documenting it all
