Hey there Alan, I just wanted to thank you for all of the help that you have given to me over the past years at Fisherman’s W.H. Simply put immeasurable! I will miss seeing you there and listening to all of the stories that you shared. You truly are great! Maybe we can get out and do some hunting or fishing together! I wish you much success with your new business!
High tide this morning was at 10 am this morning so you had incoming tide until 10 am. Low tide was at 4 pm. I was there yesterday and we had great bite until high tide then it slowed but we still caught fish. Most of our fish were in 2-3 ft in current
Warren has Garmin live scope and I fool around with it also. As I'm always on my Lowrance units so I'm faster operating it as with Garmin I have to go slower and look for the settings
Was out at Comanche and seen the same thing Alan…I was able to get a few trout but not really a crazy bite and still marking all the bait and fish around 40-50 ft down! Then figured the water was clearing up on the delta so headed out yesterday with a bunch of swim baits and big top water and never made it …boat took a shit ..parts are a week out….Doh!
Delta been good when the water is clear. Last week out in Rio Vista it had 4" visibility and this week 15" and looking good. Caught lots stripers this week too
Bladerunner 1/2oz jighead with 5" Impact white swimbait I'll be on demo tank demonstrating these baits at ISE show at Cal Expo Sat at 4:30 and Sun at 11:30
Hello Alan.I run a jet in both the delta and rivers and sometimes I do get grass stuck in my grate.Would you happen to know anyone that builds custom stomp grates ?
No I don't depending on your jet, like Halmilton pump probably have to get from dealer. When I was doing Fun Fishing our camera boat was a jet and in the delta it would get plugged all the time.
Back in the days when the Sac river would get muddy I fished the SJ river from Three Mike to Stockton. Usually the SJ stays cleaner and the stripers will go up that way.
No AFO booth but I will be there. My nephew runs the Okuma booth I can leave sweatshirt n T-shirt there and I'll be around. I'll put them in my back pack please bring cash $50 What day are you coming?
I'm using Bladerunner swimbait 1/2oz jighead on a 5" Impact swimbait. I'll be on the demo tank throwing them so people can see the action. I'll be on tank on Sat 4:30pm and Sun 11:30am. Bladerunner will have his jigheads, Impact swimbaits and spoons at the show in Johnson Bait n Tackle booth.
I've been doing good up in Prospect slough on incoming tide. The water is lot cleaner out on the west bank and should be good. I was on west bank last week and only 4" visibility. So Tuesday I ran to Rio Vista bridge and I could see 20" now. So I think its worth a try
I think instead of asking a question, I believe I should hire you for the day for striper fishing. Is that even possible??? Than I can ask all the questions I want!😯🤔🤗
I went to Whimpys marina. Not one bite. The water is clean 4feet visible. Towards the end of the tide the river is full of leaves. They can’t find your lure with all the junk in the water.
Stripers move a lot depending where the bait fish are. 4 ft visibility is gteat this time year, I was there last week and could only see 10" and didn't get one strioer bite. But had a good day on the bass
@@AlanFong I was guessing about the 4 feet visibility. 5.8 inch white and chartreuse ….The water started out dirty after a while it was the green color. The cleanest water I’ve fished this year….At beaver the water is clear but dark…it’s like that this time of year. You think it’s from the salmon decomposing? The color of the water in beaver?
Friend of mine was out yesterday and said water got very stained. But found some decent water but only caught four fish and they are as good as me! I have the ISE Show this weekend and will get out as if weather permits but it's going to be tough.

Okay you talks me into it…..I’ll go fishing with you
Call me Geese.
See you at the show!
Yea then to prospect

Alan do you happen to hear has the herring come in yet in central bay-thanks for your time and effort on these reports- Tom
I think the herring spawn is in January thru March? You can google herring spawn in SF Bay
Looking forward to eventually getting out with you so I can actually use my electronics right.
My partner has garmin on his boat n I fool around with it also. If your just learning then I can help n Garmin’s have more adjustments,
Do you consult with the live scope as well? I know your using the live target, but just want to be sure you do the Garmin version as well. Thanks!

Yea snograss or liberty is up north
😮🤗👌👍👋
Got some nice crappie and bluegill at berryessa. Like you said 30-80ft deep. Ran across a limb out 80ft deep on a main lake point loaded!!
Yes and there are some big ones in there too!
@@AlanFong i wish i could send a pic. Got one at 2lbs
What lures were you using in the delta this week
Bladerunner 1/2oz jighead with 5" Impact white swimbait
I'll be on demo tank demonstrating these baits at ISE show at Cal Expo Sat at 4:30 and Sun at 11:30
I always thought that stripers got lock jaw below 50, to lethargic , maybe take a cut bait, another good video and good info again, thanks buddy
Nope! We are in 48* water and the stripers are chocking our swimbaits!

Not in snograss lol
Do u ever fish the san Joaquin up river? Around mossdale? Any tips?
Back in the days when the Sac river would get muddy I fished the SJ river from Three Mike to Stockton. Usually the SJ stays cleaner and the stripers will go up that way.
Does striper fishing get good while its raining? Or should I wait until it stops?
Thanks
ALWAYS CLOSER TO SHORE WHEN RAINING ☔
Before a storm and during the storm are the best times.
Thanks. I know its good for bass and trout. But wasn't sure about stripers. I live right next to a good striper spot and can go almost anytime.
Up north where I live in stockton you mean like sacramento?
Sacramento, Stockton I would call central delta
Will there be a AFO booth at the ISE ?I want to get a AFO hoodie size 3xl and a t-shirt.
No AFO booth but I will be there. My nephew runs the Okuma booth I can leave sweatshirt n T-shirt there and I'll be around. I'll put them in my back pack please bring cash $50 What day are you coming?
I am planning on being at the show Saturday. Do the hoodies come in big sizes? If so, what is the largest size?
3XL largest
@@AlanFong thursday and saturday I will be at the okuma booth cash in hand thanks rodfather
Great report Alan! Congratulations on retirement
Delta clearing up n Stripers r biting!
I think they come in summer. Google when herring spawn in the SF Bay
Could you show those swim baits again that you use for stripers.
@@AlanFongThanks Alan
Alan what do you consider North Delta or what is southern marker?
North Delta to me is Liberty Island and Snograss Slough because you can't go any further north
Any particular place to go in the delta this week with the tide to have success?

LOOKS LIKE TRACY AREA BACKS SLOUGH 👌👍
No I'm up north in Prospect Slough
Did you launch out of arrowhead? If so where from there did you catch?
Yes I launch at Arrowhead and run to Liberty n Prospect
I think instead of asking a question, I believe I should hire you for the day for striper fishing.

You can go to info@alanfongoutdoors and it explains what I consult on. After this rain might get muddy.

Seems like incoming and beginning of outgoing is good for striper. Outside of that, it's really slowed down lately.

How's sherman?
Slow lately but depends on this storm how much rain we get and how dirty the river gets
