Brilliant. This will also work well for splitting long lengths of embroidery floss which I use for bobbin lace making.
I was just about to order some fishing swivels when I realised I already had a lobster catch key ring on a swivel joint and this works just as well and has the bigger keyring ring to hook it onto things with.

Sure Susan! I like the size 6 welded ring ball bearing fishing swivels. They come from various companies. Here is one example. smile.amazon.com/Riptail-Bearing-Fishing-Swivels-Welded/dp/B071L8KY4J/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=welded+ring+ball+bearing+fishing+swivel&qid=1591726623&sr=8-2

I am having a hard time with unplying my yarn. It keeps breaking off.

This only works for a very small subset of yarns. It works for Harrisville Highland and other similarly sized worsted weight yarns that are fairly hearty. It won't work for thinner yarns because the plies aren't strong enough. I tapestry weaving if you can use a yarn that is thinner and use more than one ply, that is great.

I cannot unply my yarn. It keeps breaking off into short pieces. HELLLLPPP!
