Thanks for the video. I’m thinking about doing something. I’m a carpenter by trade but I’m ready for a change. Thinking about washing. Torn between a trailer or a skid. I like the idea of the skid by I’m afraid it might limit me
Charlie Beers hi Charles yes you should rinse. I was batch mixing with a fixed tube. This years setup has drop sticks. When I’m done in SH tank I will drop into my water tank and flush with H20
Ron Barfield yes a slight difference. I think you really start to see a huge difference at 8 gpm. This machine worked really well for me this season. Adding an 8 gpm machine next year.
Ron Barfield that’s been the suggestion that I’ve always heard. If you upgrade from a 4 gpm machine,...go up to 8. They always say that there’s not that big of a difference to 5.5 gpm.
I like the variability of the proportioner system. I would get a roof pump though. I like the idea of soaping & rinsing with 1 unit. With the 12v you simply can’t do that.
Hi thanks for the comment. I don’t get it in 5 gallon. I used to get in 1 gallons then I would make my own mix. Now I use the 65 gallon tank for my SH. I get 55 gallon drums now.
Don’t think it’s cheaper. Used to go to pool store and get a bunch of cases. The cheapest way is 55 gallon drums. You need to get a chemical supplier or a bulk place. I know a guy who makes chemicals so he gets it for me.
@@dominickmazzeo6377 I used to live in NC there is a pressure washer store in Raleigh and Wrightsville Beach that sells 12.5 bleach in 55 gallon drugs The stores are called MVP Services 910 444 0721. Good luck Dominick if I can help in any way let me know
No no problems at all. Is it brand new? If it’s brand new you need to prime the system til it starts pulling water. That’s why I have that garden hose connection attached. Serves that purpose and I could do small jobs without my booster tank strictly on customers water source granted they are giving me 5gpm .
If you don’t have the garden hose connection like 1 do, disconnect your hose from your tank and shove a garden hose in there. Let it run til water comes out your pressure hose. That way all air escapes and your primed up. Reconnect your hose to your buffer and you will be good to go.
Matt Reno- Wash it up pressure washing I’m confused a little bit by the way you explained it. So, I should disconnect the hose from my tank to PW, then connect a hose from my house water faucet to my PW, turn the water on and wait until water comes out of pressure washing hose? Once the water comes from PW hose I then reconnect PW to tank and I should be set to go?
Yes. You have to prime your system by manually pushing water through your PW. You have to get all that air out of there. That’s really the only way to do it if you don’t have that connection like I do. I will get you the link for the connection I have.
Only watching this because I can't have trailer parked at my house. Had two big enclosed trailers and had to park them somewhere which was a pain in the ass. Need one I can fit in garage and seeing how much crap you can sqeeze on a 4x6!!!
Hey mike thanks for the comments. If I was to do it all over again first I would get a double axle trailer. I think 14’ is the right number. 12’ gets cramped with 2 machines, IBC tote, SH tank, soap tank, 12v or air pump. I think going 14’ is the way to go. Remember you only grow as a business never go backwards. I wish someone told me to get the 14’ when I started.
Not sure what your plan is. If you are only a one man show then the 10 or 12 is fine. If you want to operate 2-3 guys you need 2 machines which means bigger trailer.
@@mattreno-washituppressurew6834 Appreciate the answer. I would be a 1 man band for a while, and hopefully get some employees as I expand. My garage would allow for a 14' maximum if it doesn't exceed about 17.5' total length. I plan to get a 4gpm machine/soft wash system, and 8 gpm machine eventually. Currently I have a 3200 psi 2.5 gpm machine with 20" whisper away, 2 gallon sprayer, and a dn10 ball valve setup with swivel. So basically just getting started. Most likely opt for the 14' trailer, because I want a 2 machine setup! Any other advice??
I think the 14’ is a smart idea. Definitely at least 1 8gpm and go from there. Not sure if your downstreaming or not. I am not a fan of downstreaming I do not like pumping beach through my pressure lines. You have some options as an alternative. 12v cheapest but has its headaches (with changing pump) , air diagrams and gas pumps I’m not really well versed in them but a gas roof pump seems to be the way to go. My only advice is don’t cheap out . Do things the right way the first time, saves you money in the long run. Get the trailer , the 8gpm, some reels and your hood to go.
@@mattreno-washituppressurew6834 Currently I am downstreaming with plans to get a softwash system in the future not really too sure on which system yet either. As for the pressure washing unit itself yeah I was also thinking about upgrading it to a GX690 engine/setup currently (any suggestions on what machines?) I would get a 6' wide minimum or a 7' wide and 12' long with tandem Axel's, or you will overload the trailer. Remember, water is 8.3 pounds per gallon. A lot of people are running overloaded trailers and that's dangerous, especially if the DOT catches you. Just food for thought.
Hello so i am starting my business and i have a 3700psi simpson power wash and a 200gallon tank that i got for free. Will i be able to use something identical to the set up you have? Thanks in advance
think outside the box dude. throw the tank over the axle build a shelf over the tank and mount both machines over the tank. throw a chem tank and sod hypo tank in front or back of tank. easy.
you can fit it man build a shelf over the other pressure washer and have one over top of the other one bam! or put beside the other one and move the box on the rail or somwhere

If you over fill your pressure washer with gas it will mess up the mechanism that's what causes it to stop venting. Nice setup!
Nice setup. How many gallons of water you use on an average home ?
How do you flush out the injector after use? Should add a 3-way valve with one line left open for fresh water.

Would you say 100 gal buffer tank for a 5.5gpm machine is enough?
Absolutely. That is more than enough. 2 machines will start pulling a lot, but for one machine you are fine.
Getting ready to build my trailer is it ok to run pvc pipe or non collapse hose. Which is better I have a 4000psi 4gpm belt drive
Definitely use non collapsible hose. Found out it’s better. Nothing will come loose.

Cant you turn your buffer tank to make more room for a second washer?
That’s my trailer from last year. I would not throw 2 units on a 4x6 trailer. It’s way to small
