Lots of tight turns with our farm semi trucks 😎 and the "just keep going" is something we sometimes do out here, too. Although I tend to really watch my mirrors a lot 😏
@@WattsOnWheels, we have county roads getting more and more narrow since our latest county roads superintendent was hired. And I am truly amazed that more trucks haven't smacked mirrors 🤨 I swear that there has only been about half an inch, if that, between my trucks mirror and the other trucks I meet on these roads
I might be missing something but how is this relaxing to have to worry about getting all this rig in and out every time you pull in somewhere.Loading and unloading all this stuff at every campsites. You guys and gals have to be on some kind of downer.I Cant see how this is relaxing. 😬
Just have to do a little homework in advance when choosing our own campgrounds. Rallies don't provide as many options. We only do about 1 or 2 rallies a year. Always seems to work out. We'd rather load and unload our stuff a couple times a month and see all the wonders America has to offer via motorcycle and meet interesting people than sitting home in front of the TV. To each their own.
Hopefully some of the newer camps will make longer wider spots..times are changing and people are driving much different and bigger units...happy travels
I think Montana is one of the top selling RVs. Probably a reason for that. Their floor plans are nice. We don't like the ones where you sit in row and turn your head to watch TV. Just do your homework and consider what you want to do with it...full time or weekender. The frame, wall thickness, true insulation, and quality of components was important to us for full timing. Try to do factory tours if you can and go see a bunch and take your time.
That was tight. I get the feeling that some RV parks were built when RVs were generally smaller and are the ones that are kinda tight for the bigger rigs. Nice park though, I'd stay there!
I drive for a living. I always seem to get someone who can't believe i can get a 53ft trailer and a long hood semi in many places where others routinely fail. Years and years of experience in tight areas all over the country helps. Last RV park i backed my Raptor in first shot, took like maybe 2 minutes. The park guide said it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes.
@@WattsOnWheels lol...yes I do. Backing up has always been something I was good at. I always took it as a challenge when someone would say it can't be done. I remember backing in a dock years ago that was built when 28ft trailers were the norm. I put a 53 foot in it 1st shot perfectly, jackknifed 90* with 6" between the 15ft wall and the passenger side of my rig. 2 months later, i get a phone call from a friend who was picking up there and says im here...ok?...he says you remember the dock guy? Yeah...he says he showed me a video of me backing in...he said he has 4 videos on his phone, 3 are of his grandkids, 1 of me... He says he uses it to show other drivers it can be done when they say it cant...
@@showcasecharlie11 that is so true, my dad drove mobile homes all over US, I once was with him and we backed a 60' mobile down an alley, he was awesome. Only once did he not get a mobile in or out of a place, people gave him crap, cause they were building a house, "You put it it, take it out." He said, "Come with me please." went around to front and said "That tree was NOT here when I put it in. Call me when its gone." His truck was 9' from bumper to bumper and they literally called him from all over the US for difficult moves. I love watching guys/gals who know how, moving big loads. It's an art.
Beautiful rigs, lotsa moolah, I hope to get one someday. But that drone footage of the park makes me love the good ol' tent caming scene in between the trees. No generators allowed just piece & quiet. But that traveling by a big rig would be great.
Fifth wheels turn much easier than bumper pull trailers. I tow a 32 foot bumper pull trailer with an International 4700 flatbed tow truck (61 feet long). I can not turn too sharp otherwise my bed kisses the front of the trailer (not good). I mostly boondock in Central Oregon and some USFS campgrounds. Oh, the USFS campgrounds are very challenging. I learned to walk the campground before driving in. More than once I have had to back out of campgrounds.
Very true about the turning radius and we do quite a bit of research before picking our site if you can choose it in advance and drop the car first to drive around when it's first come first serve.
I want to do this with my semi. Can you use your original 5th wheel hitch on your semi? Like can I just hook up to one and go? Do I need a different electrical plug that connects to the semi?
It might hook up to a class 8 hitch...haven't ever done that, but I think so. And yes, you will need a different pig tail...rewire a commercial pig tail to the RV or a new RV receptacle on the truck.
Tja a pick-up is a nice pick-up motorcicly on the back, but a volvo a needs no words .wise decision enkle axle on the back low cost bit wire and tire instead dubbel axes. Tony

It's not that bad, if you are a regular size rig. Pretty park and close to everything, but we probably will not go back unless the new sites they are putting in are a lot bigger.
Best video as I love this that show real events. Thank you and cheers 🍻
Thanks for watching. Keep looking thru our videos...lots of real events. Especially when we hit the tree and gate. Video is called "We Hit".
I love your rig .
Thanks so much.
My favorite line of the video……
“Just keep going till it sounds expensive!” 😂🤣😂🤣
Ain't that the truth. Dave has said that line more than once. 😀😀

I'm surprised we don't see more mirror slapping. Haven't seen any hit yet, but come close.

Sometimes nail biting, but good people to help.
We visit this campground every may after school is out. We love it there and the UTV riding is great too
Very nice campground and awesome area for ATVing. Thanks for watching.
Hopefully some of the newer camps will make longer wider spots..times are changing and people are driving much different and bigger units...happy travels
I agree. More people are living full time in their RVs now too, so they are bigger than the old pop-ups we used to see a lot of.
Beautiful rigs !!
Hope you're staying safe in these crazy times.
You back at real good buddy God bless you keep on trucking
Thanks. :)
Someday they will have a remote operated steering setup on the trailer, doest need much angle, can be done with electric.
There ya go. Or have tires that will turn on the RVs. :)
You guys have a buietiful camper. Was curious what you think about the montana campers thinking of getting a 40 footer. In a few years.

True...many parks are old, but we have seen some starting to expand for larger RVs.

We stayed there for daughter wedding. I have a 44' and it was tight as hell
Yeh. I wish parks would "get it"...they need to expand for what people are buying these days.
So many DRV's you would almost think it was a DRV dealership
It was a DRV rally. It's called SOITC (Suite Owners International Owners Club) AKA DRV "Mobile Suites"
@@WattsOnWheels Well that explains it

Yep. And that park allowed a rally knowing big rigs were coming in.

Don.t go there. If it's not right for your vehicle.
Everyone got in and out OK.
get rid of your oversize rv
It's our home. Bet our home is smaller than your house.
Do u need a CDL for this set up I was looking at the same thing I’ve my 1ton
No, the truck is not used for commercial use and it is titled as a motorhome.
