Some people really freak out with earthquakes. I always ask the LORD to give me more time to serve him and mature as a Christian before I die but if my day comes then it comes. Every single day we need to make sure we are doing our best to live for Christ ... Its not a sprint, its a long marathon. You can't change the past either. Every day is a new day! Every day we must carry our cross and work on holiness, righteousness, fruits of the spirit, ministering to others, making full proof of our ministry!
Hey, I too am Christian and I don't disagree, but I also kinda think the Lord would like us to work on being prepared in a nice, solid earthly sense with food and water, keep phones charged and gas in the car, emergency items, etc. Just saying. If a brick beans me to death I can't stop it but if it doesn't I wanna make sure we can shut off the gas and survive until things get cleared up.
I experienced the Yellowstone quake in 1959. We felt 100's miles away in Boise, Idaho. It tipped over our China Cabinet. As we approach the 65th anniversary of the M7.3 Hebgen Lake earthquake, which occurred on August 17th, 1959 at 11:37 PM (MST), it seems appropriate to discuss the effects of the earthquake on the region, and what we might expect if a similar sized event happens in the near future. First, let's talk about the earthquake itself. The official magnitude of the earthquake is 7.3, and it was located just outside the western boundary of Yellowstone National Park, ~6.5 miles WNW of West Yellowstone, Montana. The earthquake caused 28 fatalities, with most of those as a result of a large landslide that was triggered in the Madison Canyon. That landslide carried ~50 million cubic yards of rock, mud, and debris down the south side of the canyon and half way up the north side, partially burying the Rock Creek campground on the valley floor. The landslide also dammed the Madison River, causing water to back up behind it creating EarthquakeLake.

I look back, and saw no one there. The shaking ended in about 30 seconds. Then, someone got a report that there was a minor earthquake a few towns over. That was weird.
They were calm and holding it together. He was the coolest man in the world.
Dumb move, why cut to a commercial when live news is happening on-air.
Cause then is not 'professional' ...
Fab Bee , we are taught to drop, cover and hold. They did exactly as anyone would have.
This 2 reporters really calm and professional , still reporting while the earthquake started, they both still has time to say “We gonna have a break and will be right back” 😮
She got down there quick
😂
😜
Like yo mama did 😳😀
Bus down thotiana bus down
What she doing down there??? 😂
Camera man never dies
😂😂😂
The dudes expression was priceless when she got under the desk.
Man nothing can be scarier then a earthquake in a city not built for earthquakes I've been in a few in Washington state and it's freaking terrifying
She’s smart, him not so much. The one who ducks and runs away gets to live another day.
Isn't it because americans once mocked a guy for immediate getting down as a "coward"? Reflect on that again. It feels like there's nothing right in americans' eyes.
What city and state was this in?
Los Angeles, California.
The earthquake happened in Ridgecrest but the Los Angeles area felt strong shaking.
CaseOh started the Earthquake by doing Jumping jacks
You are supposed to stop, drop and roll the moment an earthquake hits, not wait for its peak. News anchors should know better
I actually felt this earthquake! I was at home in bed at this time
I love how they were still so calm and was still talking on the news, then disappeared 😂😂😂😂
Only SHE went under the desk. He's thinking "Nice, I'm staying right here."🤑
I love both their reactions, but for different reasons
These when the news becomes the news itself..
dam he was like fuck this earthquake chilling like a boss
"So this is how I get you under the desk!" - Guy newscaster
great coverage on such a serious event! however, i can't help but wonder if the reporters should have been more focused on safety rather than delivering the news in the moment. it seems a bit risky to prioritize the broadcast over ensuring everyone’s well-being. what do you all think?
Hahahahaha!
Taking protection under a glass made desk.
Better than absolutely no protection. Do you want the lights to fall on her head immediately, or after the desk slowed them down a bit?
@@jackstamper893 You're right.
It is much safer to get glasses in to your body.
@@jackstamper893 Good point !! Sincerely Charles Darwin
She's a natural Blonde.
you have no idea how strong glass can be, have no idea what glass its made from and how it was hardened or laminated. if you want to take your chances against a studio light that crushes your moron head like an apple, be my guest.
My dude has been waiting his entire career for her to say that.
I've made my house rattle harder than that with a fart. That was nothing.
the man is still sitting there at the end 💀
We all saw that girl go under the table and the guy bite his lip. I feel like something’s going on here, I just can’t quite put my finger on it. 🤔
Mabuhay ang 2 news anchor
she grabbed his arm, bro has got that earthquake panic attack rizz
Rule of thumb: If shaking only grows more intense over 10 seconds, duck and cover.
A strong independent fierce woman
great job covering such a crazy event! it's impressive how calm everyone stayed. but honestly, i think we should consider how much we rely on technology during emergencies. what if the broadcast failed and people didn't get the alerts they needed? just a thought!
Some people really freak out with earthquakes. I always ask the LORD to give
me more time to serve him and mature as a Christian before I die but if my day
comes then it comes. Every single day we need to make sure we are doing our
best to live for Christ ... Its not a sprint, its a long marathon. You can't change the
past either. Every day is a new day! Every day we must carry our cross and work
on holiness, righteousness, fruits of the spirit, ministering to others, making full proof
of our ministry!
The beginning of earth pangs.
This is an instant classic on so many levels.
Are they now dating ?
I was in the 7.1 Alaska earthquake in Nov 2018. The thing that sticks in my mind are the looks on my kids faces. Absolutely terrifying!!!
G'day From Australia, Wow She's Beautiful
That wasn't an earthquake. Thy just had the FORD GT's engines revving outside.
Wow KCAL 9 on the air during a Earthquake yesterday evening
And not KCBS2. :O
I'm willing to bet that's not her first time under the desk. LOL
tackless yep, looks like she's done this before!
“We’re gonna go to break, we’ll be right back”
There’s an earthquake, they can’t promise that.
I like it how she clutched his arm.
Did CaseOh walk into the studio?
Why did she put her arm on him?
CaseOh doing 5 jumping jacks
“ Let’s go under the desk” She’s the only one that does…..
Got to hand it to them for staying calm in the midst of the chaos.
Props to them for being able to keep their crap together and keep reporting.
No, they were supposed to immediately duck under the table for safety.
Imagine just working at your job and a earthquake just comes out of nowhere
this was a 7.1 about 120 miles Northeast of Los Angeles, the strongest of three main shocks, they're called the 2019 Ridgecrest earthquakes
I am interested in what was under the desk?
Hopefully the guy will sue her for molestation with that arm grabbing bit.
I love how he’s just admiring the fact that there’s a giant earthquake going on and she’s freaking out that must be so scary
What's up with the trashy comments ? Thank you so much for posting this it shows me denial and action (I need to work on my reaction time too)
