Walking through one of the giants was a wonderful experience. Enjoyed that woody made a guest appearance. That is some giant drift wood. Awesome that you had some old shots to add. Thanks for showing me Cadaverous Big Trees.

What a fun visit. I used to visit this park as a kid with my parents... It looks a lot nicer these days with all the facilities. Also came back to camp there with the kids and friends years later, it's a great little park.

Woodpecker nuts and Patti's driftwood...😂 Y'all crack me up! Such a beautiful park! I don't blame them for not letting dogs in. Nothing like enjoying nature then stepping in a pile of dog poo someone didn't pick up. Thanks for sharing. I always look forward to your videos!

That is so kind of you to say. 🥰 Yeah, the whole woodpecker segment just leant itself lol! Tony saying, "Oh, this is getting better by the moment" cracked me up. Good point about the dogs, never thought of that, duh.

Such a cool place! I also learned lots about woodpeckers 😉 We drove through the Chandelier Tree back in the 60's, and more recently visited the Muir Woods. Those trees are incredible! Well done! 🙂

Hello Sippy friends! I just "met" you on Stephen & Andie's livestream. Just subbed and am interested in checking out your stuff. I lived in the Bay Area for 4 years, and my son did too... in fact, he's about to move back. So, more No CA trips in my future! Now to check out your channel and see your "adventures"! ;-)

Yay! Thank you. I appreciate you subbing because it interests you, and may be of benefit to you and your son! We are really "niched" (except for our latest one, which is an effort to capture another niche). Appreciate it 🥤

Freakin' awesome! These giants are so majestic. We're really glad that we made the time to road trip to Sequoia National Forest last year while we were still in SoCal. It's just crazy to be able to walk through one like that! And yes, it's a little tricky from park to park if you've got dogs. It varies, but the rules you mentioned for this state park are about the same at most national parks... where as national FORESTS are more accommodating and allow pets on the trails - in most cases. That's why we ended up at Sequoia National Forest and not Sequoia National Park, since our pups were along on that road trip. (bummer that there's no woodpecker emoji, but we'll leave deez 🌰🌰 here)

LOL! Deez Nutz! Brilliant. Good call on the dogs. I didn't dawn on me initially that it's pretty much the same rules for dogs across the state and national parks. That part of the video was buoyed by the fact that after our walk, when we were in the parking lot, the ranger kindly let some young lady know of the dog rules as she was struggling with a large, barking dog in the parking lot, and the lady was a bit snooty as she couldn't get her mammoth dog controlled. Thanks guys!
