The Best Destination for Couples Only in the Sacramento area! 😍🍾🥃👙🩳
The best destination for couples only in the Sacramento area? We found your spot. This bed & breakfast Inn is located about 45 minutes up in the Sierra Nevada Foothills outside of Sacramento.
We are not disclosing of this Inn here in the description. You have to watch the video!
The address is actually a Placerville, California address, but I was surprised to learn, once I looked up the location, that it is actually in Coloma, California. Nothing wrong with that as Coloma is beautiful Gold Country.
This Inn is a romantic, quiet, couples only retreat. No kids!
The amenities are high end as would be expected, and every detail has been thoroughly thought out.
The soaking tub is wonderful. Hot tubs or spas can get too hot and unenjoyable. This Inn has thought of everything to make your stay a romantic one!

Will there be a Super Bloom at Folsom Lake in 2024? There are so many factors in determining a "Super Bloom." Typically, in the Sierra Foothills, flowers bloom between mid-March to mid-May. In 2021, Beeks Bight at Folsom Lake captured the local headlines with it's truly incredible Super Bloom of the lupine f...

Folsom looks great! Another NorCal nugget that we’ve never had the pleasure of exploring. I might have played a gig there once, somewhere, at some point? Which is why I rarely count gigging in a place as actually “visiting” a place.
Hey! Thanks for stopping by! If you did have a gig in Folsom, it was likely the Powerhouse Pub we spoke of. Cheers! 🥤🥁
Nice video tour Darin. I have added Bullard Bar, Folsom Lake & Lake Natoma to my list of drone locations, and plan to visit for a flyover soon.
thanks for the video!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope it was helpful!
I went by there accidentally coming back from the Peninsula Campground. Definitely will be going back for a closer look. Great video and it looks like the eternal honeymooners had a great time too. 😉
Aww, thank you! Yeah, I just knew it was in "Placerville." Never looked it up (where it was) until after we booked. I was like, "uh, it's in Coloma!" Thanks for stopping by! 🥤
So great to know what to do there
Thanks for watching!!
Wow, they have such a great artsy vibe there on top of the natural beauty, it's totally our kind of scene.
We came for "couples-only," but the pencil and cassette tee is bringng back some serious nostalgia!
Right?? Thanks for stopping by guys!! 🥰🥤
Unfortunately, since uploading this video, J.Wilds BBQ has closed. 😓 Tough margins, and a new baby for the young owners contributed to its closing.
wow that is an interesting ride, and you will have a lot of fun but wet
Yes, it is a wild ride! TY Francis!
Bullards Bar is absolutely not a shallow lake. It's one of the deepest lakes in California. The dam is 635 feet above the river bed.
Yes, I realized I erred here about a year after making the video. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful lake and I appreciate you stopping by. 🥤
You pick the most beautiful day for this video
We did! Was on Halloween. Typically, October is the best weather! Thanks! 🥤
When the City took possession of the former Naval Shipyard many locals especially were warned GPS likely will not work within the Island for various reasons. Even the Police were confused when summoned to a call there.

Nice find you guys! The grounds look beautiful, and I loved the outdoor kitchen. Love that it's so close to Sacramento. Did you guys find this through Airbnb? Fun trip!
Hey Paul! No, not on AirBnB. I knew of this place before, but for two reasons, we never had stayed before. The first, we haven't had a reason to stay in the Placerville area, and secondly, it's pretty pricey. It was sort of a fantasy to me that we'd ever stay there. We believe we found a "hole" in their reservations. It was $399 for the one night. We typically don't spend that kind of money on a stay, but one, not sure we will pay that low of a rate to stay (and it was worth it) and we are not reserving any place for the whole month of August. Felt we'd "splurge" a bit. I think the "ticket" is, and had I know this, I would have put it in the video, is to get on their email list. I will be receiving email alerts about lower prices, etc. Thanks my friend! 🥤
@SippyCupAdventures nice. Britt and I are getting ready to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We are looking at places. Lots of cool Airbnbs. We are also willing to pay more than normal to have an extra cool experience.
Amazing video keep up the hard work! Hello from Foster City!

my dad was in the Navy and stationed at Mare Island in the early 1960s. I went to Vallejo high school for a year or two. Dad was the maintenance officer for the Naval transmitter site on the west side. We lived a couple blocks from the Rodman Bowling alley where I worked as a pin boy.
Thanks for sharing! There really is a lot of fascinating history with Mare Island, Alameda Island, and Treasure Island, I am learning! 🥤
Tahoe has become a big mess in summer, that’s for sure.
Hey Eddie! Thanks for stopping by! Yes. It's why we wait for the Fall! Hopefully, these measure will help out. Cheers 🥤

Hi, I'm from Roseville and just recently went to the ocean for the first time. You look like you know all the spots , I'm looking for a beach to find shells and one I can get in the water since I've never been in the ocean. I plan to go for Friday night amd come back Saturday night.. I don't like a ton of people or like super busy places. Do you have any suggestions?
@@amandaf7378 hello fellow Roseville resident! Just wanted to let you know I saw this and let me get back to you in a bit. My wife is a beachcomber!
Ok, so first, you cannot SWIM in any of these beaches in Northern California (within driving distance). They are TOO dangerous. IF you just want to stick your feet in, then yes, but be careful. I would suggest Bodega Bay simply because it's the shortest drive from Roseville. This video shares our favorite beaches in the region. th-cam.com/video/yXl9Tq9HfSM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L8SRgLAAdWr4GcIi You can find shells. Not big shells, but all those beaches are okay. TO find a gold mine of sea glass and shells, mostly broken oyster shells, this is the place th-cam.com/video/m73JUXJzRx0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=V7LzXdy_Uxwn1Tc8 You can get in the water. It's a bay, and not necessarily the "ocean" and you can get in the water (it will be warmer) BUT you HAVE to wear sandals or shoes cause your feet can get cut up with all the broken oyster shells. Here is our video on a day trip to Bodega Bay (or, you can spend the night there) th-cam.com/video/O3moON4T0nw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9NWLSq3FDDToVZeE Finally, Half Moon Bay is really nice but its a bit farther of a drive, south of SF. "Most" the beaches are better to get into than Bodega Bay. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions! TY!
Popular place - good tips for Sand Harbor State Park Lake Tahoe is awesome The east shore trail is cool for bikes Reserve Nevada good to know about Cheers 9
RESERVATIONS won't reduce crowding. Sand Harbor will still be crowded. It's more about reducing traffic congestion. ⛔⚠
Really good content 🍺
Thank you! Appreciate you stopping by! Enjoy the lake(s)! 🥤
a lovely place to be out, and enjoying the day. wow the sun must be pretty hot by now
Thanks, Francis! Yeah, in the valley where were are, it's been 110! At Lake Tahoe, it will get to 90, but it's rare. Appreciate it! 🥤
Great informative film. My question is: reservations are required, OK, so what type of visitors are "clogging" up the area? Boaters, jet ski's? If you banned motorized water toys, would that filter out enough people? Lake Tahoe has had some bad watercraft accidents/fatalities. Also, this would help keep Tahoe blue. Or is this even an issue in this area? I'm just curious, we've never been to this area. Is there a certain visitor causing this to happen, do you think?
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle hey Paul! Yeah, it’s not going to alleviate crowded beaches at Sand Harbor. It’s going to relieve the traffic congestion. That’s the main focus. Cars can be backed up for miles waiting to get in. Hence, backed up traffic and the locals can’t get anywhere. Also, people will pull over on the side of the highway and find “secret beaches” having nothing to do Sand Harbor, but which are near by. I eluded to this at the end of the video. It will still be crowded. But, you two definitely need to go! Just wait until early Fall. Thanks my friend!
Try driving this shit back to SF at night. You get used to it if you do it every week for a month -- muscle memory. The only problem is when it's raining and foggy at night. That will make your arse pucker hard.
I can imagine! Ugh. Thanks for stopping by! 🥤
Such a helpful video. Thanks for making it.
@@sheilaabraham4350 Thanks for stopping by! Appreciate the comment 🥤🥰
Nice video you guys! I've been coming here for over a decade, and I'm actually here right now. You did a nice job of capturing the charm of this historic town. It's definitely my favorite place to visit, and if anyone hasn't been here yet, put it on your list!
Ahhh, thanks so much! We got to stay in Angels Camp with family over the Memorial Day weekend (this year), and certainly visited Murphys! Unfortunately, our friends who lived in the area moved out of the region, so were not up there as much 😥Enjoy your time!! 🥤
Damn I am hungry and thirsty now lol awesome town and that J. Wilds looked soo good
Yes! We just went back to J.Wilds too!! This time, I got the bigger plate of brisket for leftovers! Thanks for checking in guys!! Always appreciate it! 🥤
Looking to possibly relocate to SAC. If I can’t have beaches, then mountains and beautiful lakes will do! SAC looks to be prime location to get to the mountains and the Bay Area within reason
Yes, it is! The fact that we are 2 hours away from Tahoe and 2 hours away from the coast, is a blessing! We live in Roseville, and love it! If you ever have any further questions about the region, feel free to reach out to us by email as our email address is in our About section. Thanks for stopping by! 🥤
Nice! We’ll have to stop there on our coastal trip in September. Might be a nice spot to camp after coming down from Fort Bragg heading south.
Hey Eddie (and Hope). Yeah, we can't speak for the camping, obviously, but it's worth checking out. Like we mention, a gold mine for beach combing. To the right of the village.....
@@SippyCupAdventures thanks for the tips!

Cool 1970 flashback Wonderful family reunion Thanks for the tip on Tahoe rental company Awesome hack on saving $ Awesome house Cheers 19
Thanks, Mike! Could really use a trip to Tahoe during this heatwave. Of course, everyone would be up there! Cheers 🥤
We used to stay in that little complex where you did about 30-35 years ago. It wasn't associated with the Jenner Inn back then. It was called the "Lazy River Inn" back then. All the units had furnishings made by the owner. All were one-of-a-kind creations. Every room was different. Now it's "upgraded". I remember they had a lovely garden area where you could sit right next to the water. I also remember waking up and looking out the bathroom window and it was all foggy and we could see otters swimming in the channel. So many memories of that place.
Well, all that you speak of about the Lazy River Inn, pretty much is what the Jenner Inn is, in that each room is different, or very similar then. We had a garden spot next to our room (either on this trip, or another trip) and you could see the stars for days! ✨Thank you for stopping by! 🥤
I'm glad to hear the brisket at J. Wilds was good. I haven't found really good brisket in the are ever since JR's Texas BBQ closed down.
🤔 Seems really empty with few people walking around. Balcony view is fantastic though!
Hello! Yes, foot traffic in the city has subsided a bit. Actually, quite a bit, but the city is having more and more street and music events to help out! Also, behind the Hyatt is the Financial District which is typically quiet on the weekends (Nobody is at work, cause it's the weekend). Thanks for stopping by! 🥤
Oh yeah ! Looks like bundles of fun 😮😢
When we first moved to the Northwest, it tooks us the longest time to pronounce Willamette.
I still have to think about it 😆Appreciate you stopping by! 🥤
Love old town Folsom.
Folsom old town is a great destination. Good tip on the parking. The Historical district has got lots to offer. I do like it when restaurants put tables in the street but as a local driving can be annoying. Enjoyed and got motivated to watch more and visit Folsom. Cheers👍and all the best on working the issue
