More remakes sounds good to me. As someone with only moderate pinball maintenance skills, I have a limit to what I'm willing to invest in 30 year old machines. That limit prices me out of most of the "top" titles these days. I would be more likely to pay some of those prices for a brand new version of a classic game.
Exactly 👍
You're not a real gaming aficionado. Unless you can read schematics and work a soldering iron, stick to TV game shows.
@@quantumx5727 LOL. Someone sounds a bit salty that their expensive game might become less valuable when its easily available to the masses with a "new" release. I do know how to work on pinball machines, but myself and most others in the hobby today would rather spend 8-10K on a NIB version over taking on the risk of spending 8-10K on a 30 years old version of the same game. Seems like common sense. I'm sorry you feel bitter that there will be more and arguably better options for pinball enthusiasts of these old games.
@TheGamingHoser Clealy, you have an intellect beyond "gameshows". Let's hope you have at least adequate flipper skills. If your gonna blow 10 grand on a "New" old game, you better be good at it.
Whatever guy, I purchased 6 NIB games because I can afford it 😂 as for skills maintaining them, it is not rocket science my dude I'm a helicopter technician, I think I can figure it out it is just some of us don't have the time or don't want to spend the time 😉 😂
I am assuming the first game is TZ. That was in the background on the picture they released showing Fish Tales. People have been saying it doesn't make sense to make Fish Tales and this video confirmed they are not making games that people have been saying don't make sense. So unless they are throwing us a curve ball my bet is on TZ.
Twilight Zone,
Theater of Magic,
Tales Of The Arabian Nights,
Voltaire (Maybe)
Addams Family,
Scared Stiff (maybe),
White Water (Maybe),
Creature Of The Black Lagoon (Probably Not) Funhouse (Probably Not),
Bram Strokers Dracula (Probably Not),
Whirlwind (Probably Not)
The Getaway (Probably Not)
World Cup Soccer 94 (probably Not)
Congo ( Maybe)
Fish Tales ( Probably Not)
Indiana Jones (Never happening most likely)
Yes you’re absolutely right! You can excluded all the titles that are less than 9k in the used market
Why pay 10/12k for a Getaway if you can buy it for 5k used in very good condition?
@@brunogaspar3977 exactly but i would pay 1-2,000 more for a old pin that’s redone with better technology or longer lasting parts. I love Whirlwind but most of the playfields weren’t diamond plated so they wear more. If they made one today I’d pay more for it and it had possible a dmd with better parts I’d consider it. I know most people wouldn’t so it won’t probably happen.
Those top 5 I listed though are almost guaranteed to happen.
I'm in on CFTBL or Scared Stiff. TOTAN is simply gorgeous but the rules would need to be overhauled. "Go for the golden symbols" gets old fast.
@@joelpomerleau4015
Better parts? 😬 like the MB remake scoop Cliffy 😂
I would probably die of old age before Chicago gaming might get around to a scared stiff reproduction that's what I'm hoping for.
But I'm a little apprehensive here cuz I don't know who's going to be making the reproduction parts and although planetary was very good about sending out replacements I had a lot of problems with replacement parts for scared stiff
The translite sold was blurry and was replaced with a good one
The coffin cover had paint missing as somebody had handled it while the paint was wet. It was replaced.
Replacement globes were not the same color as the originals so I had to order more to have a matching set.
The more expensive glow-in-the-dark bony beast ribs didn't seem to work well if at all after being exposed to light, or under a UV light
Additionally the bones were very stiff and inflexible and tended to pop off on one side of the ramp being on crooked in places at that point.
The reproduction ramps were thicker plastic which may have contributed to that intermittent problem.
Like some other people have with the reproduction ramps, occasional air-balls off the right ramp.
Those put divots in the backboard and occasionally knocked a globe in the back off it's stand. Not good for the pin or game play.
Some people made some one-off airball protectors but that affects the aesthetics and who knows if it affects the ball speed when it bounces off the top. I just wasn't down to making something by hand myself
The rabbit and wolf plastics were disappointing.
The originals you can see hairs on the rabbit fur, and the reproduction you could not.
The wolf plastic was darker, and the on the crypt the metal bars were basically not visible.
My guess is planetary was dealing with too many parts being made by outside parties who had poor quality control.
This was a machine that I was trying to the best of my abilities. restore, and I just got so frustrated I sold it hoping Chicago gaming would make it.
So when it said that they would be receiving parts it makes me nervous that the quality might not be up to snuff.
Remakes sound good...however, I am VERY concerned with so many games coming out/already crated and sitting and whether there will be a true market for so many more games entering into this hobby. The demand seems to have stalled/stopped.
Correct sir
Thou I would definitely pay for a new Bally Williams Indiana Jones or Tales of the Arabian Nights
The demand isn’t there because the products offered aren’t being requested. Nobody asked for a toy story four, stupidest ideas I could ever think of. You’re going to release the movie that no one saw as the first toy story pinball? Nobody asked for a godfather game. Nobody asked for a venom game. Nobody asked for an Elton John game. It’s not the fact that the demand has slowed down. It’s that the product being provided is subpar and unwanted by anyone
There is still an extremely heavy demand for high-quality excellent themed games. Those just aren’t coming out sadly.
I truly hope that this will spark an entirely new round of sequels to the most amazing quality games we all grew up with.
@@brunogaspar3977 totan maybe because of no licensing, I would t count on Indiana Jones, I imagine that license costs a fortune
@@JohnSmith78098 that’s also a great valid point
sure but would you pay 12-20k?
congrats on your new venture in co-operation with pandretti. Looking forward to seeing your future content as always and also really excited to see what remakes Pandretti has coming
Well now…. That is great news…. Thanks Cary, keep up the good work.
Creature from the Black Lagoon is a no brainer for a remake. If wide bodies are in consideration, Twilight Zone would be awesome.
Others I would love:
High Speed 2: The Getaway
White Water
Theater of Magic
Funhouse
The price tag of 10k plus will exclude the majority of games you mentioned because the ones you can get for 5k used won’t be remade
@@brunogaspar3977 Not sure I agree, and the only machine I mentioned that you are getting for under 5K used is The Getaway.
I’m yet to see a Funhouse with Pedretti working right. So I will proceed with caution. I have such mixed reaction on remakes. It kills Collectors. But also makes some of these games semi affordable. As well as parts like you stated. JPOP remakes after the bad taste he left in people’s mouth will be in question.
Collectors will complain about it, then in the same breath talk about how a new machine can't replace the original. If that's true, they'll be fine. No reason someone should have to pay $15-18k on a 30 year old machine when we can remake them.
Always a good watch!
Respect Sir , looking Forward to more news
Eight Ball Deluxe 🙂
I'd love to see a remake of Creature from the Black Lagoon! Hoping that one is in their lineup to remake!
CFTBL for sale lol
Do they have to get any kind of authorization from the designer or did he sign off entirely on the project?
Because nobody wants anything to do with John Trudeau.
Looking to purchase my first pin.. aiming for TZ or Addams- hopefully these titles had good build quality
Love this! You being involved will be very positive. All sounds good!
Creature Please!!!
Just how big is pinball going to get? Another company?
Taf confirmed first game out the door lol
If this go forward with similar quality of CGC it’s huge and I’m very excited!
Thanks for sharing, this info already changed everything for me
Fishtales?❤
Cary, JAWS pro or premium?…..
@@lobsterman5786 The only games worth to be remade and the price tag associated will be:
Twilight Zone
Indiana Jones
Tales of the Arabian Nights
Circus Voltaire
…and maybe Adams Family
If none of those above are the ones to be remade please don’t it
I sure hope they make the Getaway. That was my absolute favorite pin from that era!
Very doubtful because you can get them for 4-4,500. They will target the games in the 8,000 and up because that’s the prices they’ll most likely be at. I’d love a whirlwind but I doubt they’ll do that when you can get them for 4-5k.
AF confirmed lol. j/k Very happy for you Cary. You are the perfect rep for this venture!
Let me guess some of the titles , Adams family, Indiana Jones, Wolrd cup soccer, Tales of the Arabian Nights(i will probably buy a remade totan if it ever happen!),Theatre of Magic, White Water, The Shadow, fish tales and so on ! Im so excited to learn that cause i was bummed out to the idea of buy a 30 years old machines close to and in some case more than a NIB pinball today, that is great news thanks for sharing with us and also looking forward to hear more content on that topic !
Yes whitewater 😂
Yes, yes and yes to those!
LET'S GO RADICAL REMAKE!!
Not worried about pricing on my originals:
1. I didn't buy to have something covetous - I bought because I love those titles.
2. Even with CGC remakes out, AFM has STILL recovered and is STILL flirting with and into 5-digit territory so my games aren't devaluing in any way 🍻
PPS has been really bad with approving licensed parts that are nowhere close to the originals. Look at mirco playfields or some of the replacement speaker panels.
Can confirm, ordered a part from them and all holes were misaligned, not sure what they doing over there.
Sweet news! I look forward to what they put out. I wonder where this puts the re-re-release of Medieval Madness. CGC said it was coming back in 2023 but we know it didn’t show its head. Will Pindretti take over this release or does CGC still have plans to ship it from their shop. Either way I’m ready to give Flip’n’Out pinball more of my money….
Makes me wonder if widebody machines are in or out
A Bally Embryon remake would be amazing!
Would love some more widebody pins
Do you know if they will be more reliable than current Pedretti stuff? Their build quality is shocking.
That is my goal with early access. I want to see and test the build quality then inform/show everyone my findings.
Cary, do you know if the boards will be backwards compatible?
Negative. They will be using the FAST system. What all that means? I don't know yet.
Nice work. I look forward to seeing what they release.
SO in summary: "More remakes are coming. I think the list is great. I can say no more. Stand by."
I like the idea of bringing back some of the good ones. I wonder if any of these will be updated with LED's, or LCD's. Do we know if that is a possibility?
Indiana Jones please probably impossible with Disney though
I wouldn't rule It out Disney needs money
Disney gives up Star Wars pretty easy I feel. Not sure why they wouldn’t do Indiana jones
How are all these old parts still available? Where were they all these years.
Does anyone have an interest in maybe one or two old 80s ss pins for a lower price? I think it would be cool to have a new construction barracora or fireball ii or similar for a cheaper price than the 90s usuals
TZ or TAF would be my guess as first titles. Maybe TOM or Tales of the Arabian Nights..
A request for a simple "yes" or "no." Any titles from the early '80s?
Congrats on the Pendretti Pinball relationship! We understand the requirement for a NDA, but your input & the relationship should result with a better pin, great videos, & nice remakes. Thanks for keeping your channel increasingly relevant. IMHO, reasonable prices, good engineering, with good titles, will result in good sales. That business model, as evidenced by Stern/Venom & Jersey Jack/Godfather/EltonJohn poor sales. Manufacturers, take notice: you HAVE hit the price bubble!
Congrats on the partnership. So you can’t participate in speculation… but always appreciate your honest perspective on the products you mention. Glad to hear you plan to keep your perspective unbiased even with the agreement in place. And with regards to CGC, agree that if they can’t get product out the door in a timely manner, then no one makes money on that.
7:40 so snide and so secretive and so coooooool
I still have a Funhouse V2 sealed. The prices of FH (and all pins) has gone beyond reasonable so I no longer own any.
I’m thinking Circus Voltaire & Indiana Jones
That would be awesome
Can rule out TAF too many made and need actors to sign off .
Raul Julia, rest in peace.
So Funhouse and Whirlwind are first?
Make sure they get the flippers right. Remember that fiasco with CGC at the start?
Guessing TOM and TZ. Not sure on TOTAN. I seriously doubt IJ.
Yeah IJ is likely never gonna happen due to licensing
Ugh pinball acronyms.
TOM = theatre of magic, TZ = twilight zone, TOTAN = tales of the Arabian night, IJ = Indiana jones (the old one, not the stern)
@@curtisc8233 beat me too it. Thanks.
@@PubeStacheit's going to be OK Mr. Pubestache
CFTBL Baby!!! I'm selling games to get it if they do! Scared Stiff falls into this category as well.
The one game that makes sense to me but I'm not sure HOW it could be done is Black Hole.
All popadiuk titles would be interesting.
BTW isnt it pedretti that manufacture pinball brothers titles?
If they want to blow us out of the water for their first game put that FT on hold and do that TZ in the background. Nice tease if true.
I need to build an addition to my house.
I just want Cftbl on that list
Oh man that would be trouble for me. My gf will want one bad and I cant swing the cost
Sure I am excited, but this means nothing more than the market going to hell and everything dropping in price.
Goin to hell??? I think you mean “GOIN TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE”. Not to mention the new more reliable machines.
@@moobutt I am all for a market where everyone can afford these machines, but who here is asking for these games? They have been out for 30 years, everyone and their mom has played them. Not to mention that exporting them from europe to the US will make them a lot more expensive.. 10k in europe is easily 13k usd
@@moobuttright. It's only bad for people who were trying to make money off the recent price increases of most pinball machines.
It would happen sooner or later! Prices were out of of control, now the market has to readjust. If remakes contribute to that it’s very good because a lot of ppl like me wants new pins from the 90’s
Also some manufacturers will have to adapt or close doors…
When's the reveal?!
Crossing my fingers for a Johnny Mnemonic 🤞
Doubtful
@@matthewmorton7386 Crossing my fingers anyways
TOTAN
When are ya coming over to play? :)
Like this if an Adams Family remake is coming
Will be a licensing nightmare. To get all of the actor’s likenesses.
@@afattori316 just thought about this - how did they get them for the digital games?
Shadow?
Arabian Night
Please lord jesus in heaven let the remake be Indiana Jones, and let it be announced before I spend $14k on one. Carey please like this post if I should wait on purchasing the OG IJ 😅.
I would pay 12k for Indy too
Damn it, TH-cam doesn’t show you who likes your comment 😂
@@mattjensen2575 It’s a difficult license but don’t lose hope.
The most likely remakes will be:
TOTAN
Circus Voltaire
TZ
Whitewater
Scared Stiff
Indiana Jones…maybe 🙏
@@brunogaspar3977 🤞
Yea. Oh first
Indiana Jones pinball adventure
White water
Theatre of magic
Creature from the black lagoon
Medieval madness
Second!
Their first release, whatever it is, will be better than Jaws.
So you're going to be doing reviews from a company that is paying you? How can you honestly say if something is crap??
Nice interpretation. Never mentioned reviews or being paid - and that's where your mind went...I'm not being paid. Merely getting early access.
@CaryHardy sorry. I guess when you said at 6.26 you would "let us know" about the quality, I guess that's not a review? Um okay. While you didn't say you were getting paid, getting even early access is a perk and you probably don't want to ruin your relationship with them. You've always been objective and I hope that continues.
So no reason to watch then. Thanks for saving me 11 minutes by saying you aren't going to say anything.
