Sorry it just doesn't compare to the CGC Topper that comes with the LE! $1300 for a plastic topper with flashing integrated lights is just ridiculous! Toppers are the most ridiculous accessory for a pinball machine. I just don't get the hype surrounding them. It's not like you can watch it while your playing the game. Unless the topper comes with the game I'd never purchase one...especially at prices like they are now!
I have TEP twilight zone topper and I fricken love it ! Everytime you hit the gumball machine and the ball comes out and loops around , just badass ! Nice job guys , love your stuff !!
I am glad The Electric Playground is able to do this. I am unsure how much the licensing costs them. Let's look at the math here. They are making 300 of them, selling for $1,279 each. Total of $384k of revuenue being added to their company by the end of 2025. There were 3,450 AFM's originally made, so they are trying to capture just under 10% of that market. Not to mention the remakes that don't have a topper. To those who wish it were $500 or $750, I get it but unfortnuatelty pinball is not made in enough scale for these prices to be on par with our desires. I am always rooting for American businesses that promote pinball. Best of luck to them.
Looks nice. More than I’d spend for a topper but I can see why they will be popular. My go to for third party toppers was always Tilttopper. I have their AFM and POTC, to name a few. Really nice work. Problem now is it takes them several months and up to a year to fill an order and only after multiple e mails haranguing them for an update. My Elvira topper came from Spirit Halloween and cost $15. 😎
Maybe $100 parts and labor in there tops. "The shipping cost will vary by location, $40-$60 US, $100-$200 international." Not even free shipping. I'm curious what the licensing fee was since it's got the AFM name. Wonder if they are asking for like 30% cut just for the name or what else. $210,000 estimated net on the 300 they want to sell. Easy money if the market is willing to pay it. 2025, the great reset is coming.
@timborski1210 That's correct, so is Mando, for that matter. You could even count shipping if you want to be technical. I think Cary misspoke, tho unless I'm missing one, at least the way I interpret what he said.
It looks nice stationary, but I feel like it's a lot of extra work, money, and noise, for that little amount of movement. Stationary with lights would have been fine IMO.

Would have been cool in 1985.
WOW! - Everything that TEP makes is amazing quality!

That thing, for lack of a better word, is badass.

Very cool.
$1279 for plastics. Looks fine, but honestly well over priced.

@@AdamGtr86 Not if Wall Street has anything to say about it (and they do...).
Electric Playground is making some great toppers
Very nice video. Would like to see more of your friend's lineup.
Can't wait to see this topper live at Expo next week.
Where did you get the AFM speaker grills?
Wow! Sweet.
Did Stern make a topper that sold for more than 2k? Or do you mean on the secondary market? This one looks pretty cool!
Foo Fighters is 2k + Tax

That topper is pretty sweet. Brad Albright's work is great, I'd love to see him get a shot at game art some day.
Awesome shop!

Did the original LE Topper make any physical movements or was it just a light show?
@@Freakyguy666 there was movement on the LE topper.
I see flat plastic and I cringe. I'm not a topper guy so no lost sales from me either way.
I think your fan is bigger than mine!
That’s so cool. Expensive. But cool😊
That price is crazytown. So… 2 ps5’s or this topper? Is it comparable in complexity and value? Really?
Hard no
Appreciate the review but too much junky plastic and half ass wiring for me for the $$. Wanted to love it but pass.
By Sterns standards this is amazing. However to me it's too much flat plastics.
I want that Godzilla one they have, it looks so good and SOO Much better than the Stern one
Stern toppers are a low bar
Looks better from far away. Close ups of plastics don't look good.
Eh....over priced. Wouldnt be bad for 500/700
THIS! ⬆️
I’m not a fan 🪭
Sexy. Hopefully they don’t make one for TOTAN otherwise I’ll be out $1700 😅
Ew that art isn’t great.
