The M model is indeed the pinnacle of performance in the crossover segment, but the surprise for me is the latest version of the S1000XR. For the real world, I can't think of a better all-around platform to tick off epic mileage. I'm so stoked about the record attempt we're preparing for with this bike. Bravo Motorrad, Bravo indeed!

I would love to see how this translates into an update of the now 1250RS, which is hopefully then a 1300RS soon? Hello, thank you for your message. Both the BMW M 1000 XR and the BMW S 1000 XR have a permissible total weight of 450 kg. Due to the lower curb weight of the BMW M 1000 XR, it boasts a payload capacity of 227 kg, whereas the BMW S 1000 XR has a payload capacity of 223 kg.
If I can give the BMW marketing department a tip, I'd say, let the boss and engineer do the intros to the topics being covered, but get a professional voiceover artist to do the rest.
201 hp that's crazy even higher then MTSV4RS, changed the full system AK exhaust can reduce around 12KG so the net weight can be 211kg. Will see who is better.

Hi there, there is no reverse shift for the BMW M XR! But there are a lot of other features that increase the bike’s performance and comfort - also on the racetrack. The additional adjustability of the fork's spring base in conjunction with the standard Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) suspension strut and the standard Shift Assistant Pro are just to name two. I ride a 2022 S1000XR M Sport, factory low (being a short rider it was a relief). I see no such options with MXR or even SXR M Sport (but the black and blue normal versions still have it) in the configurator. Why is that? Beautiful bikes there anyway!

It is very unfortunate that hard saddlebags are not available for this bike. It could keep my from buying one. I use them daily to keep my jacket and helmet while I am doing other things.

After watching all the pre-production review, I could not help it but to order the MXR last week. I don't mind waiting 5 to 7 months for it. By the summer of 2024, I should be riding a fully loaded BMW M 100 XR Competition Black. I don't know what to expect, but one thing for sure, it's going to be ecstatic.

With the new BMW S 1000 XR we reached our goal of revising and improving the bike. The new BMW M XR we created our third M model while combining motorsport genes with long-distance riding. Some of the updates on the S 1000 XR are also part of the M XR like the Headlight Pro or the Shift Assistant Pro. But there are also some feature exclusive to the M XR due to it being an M model. We can highly recommend to have a look at both bikes at your local dealer!

Thanks for your interest! 😊 The BMW M XR has a seat height of 850 mm as standard. With the M low sports seat, the seat height is reduced by 30 mm. You can also select the M sports seat high in the configurator, where the seat height is 870 mm.
It´s not a Japan engine... And a lot of M 1000 R are broking the engine... BMW is squeezing to much that engine (S1000R- XR 1000 ) and the engine can´t deal with that amount of power (205hp- stock 165hp) Watch out before you buy these "new bikes with that new tunned stock engine" Better to wait 1 year or so...

Hi, could you please share more information regarding seat ergonomics? I was about to buy a regular version, meaning S1000XR but the seat was too tiny (I am above 100 kg and my size is 1.90m) and I did not feel comfortable. I have heard (and I believe the difference is noticeable) that the seat in M1000XR is different, but I am not sure if I should consider the bike. Thanks!
Hey there! Actually, the BMW S 1000 XR has been receiving a completely new seat - we recommend you go check it out at your local dealer once the bike is available by spring this year. The M seat of the M 1000 XR is optimized compared to the S 1000 XR with an increase in usable bench length and width for more freedom of movement. Would be nice if BMW admitted there was an inherent design flaw with the seat and offer a recall /redesign for current owners.

question: does mxr include all the latest updates of the new s1000xr? if not, what differs?
With the new BMW S 1000 XR we reached our goal of revising and improving the bike. The new BMW M XR we created our third M model while combining motorsport genes with long-distance riding. Some of the updates on the S 1000 XR are also part of the M XR like the Headlight Pro or the Shift Assistant Pro. But there are also some feature exclusive to the M XR due to it being an M model. We can highly recommend to have a look at both bikes at your local dealer!

Thanks for your interest! 😊 The BMW M XR has a seat height of 850 mm as standard. With the M low sports seat, the seat height is reduced by 30 mm. You can also select the M sports seat high in the configurator, where the seat height is 870 mm.

You have the option of attaching softbags to your bike. Both luggage holders have a volume of 8 liters and a maximum load of 5 kg.

You know the question was coming- have you fixed the 4-5K vibes?
It´s not a Japan engine... And a lot of M 1000 R are broking the engine... BMW is squeezing to much that engine (S1000R- XR 1000 ) and the engine can´t deal with that amount of power (205hp- stock 165hp) Watch out before you buy these "new bikes with that new tunned stock engine" Better to wait 1 year or so...
Is the M XR passenger friendly for distance, and does it offer saddle bags like the S model?

Hi, could you please share more information regarding seat ergonomics? I was about to buy a regular version, meaning S1000XR but the seat was too tiny (I am above 100 kg and my size is 1.90m) and I did not feel comfortable. I have heard (and I believe the difference is noticeable) that the seat in M1000XR is different, but I am not sure if I should consider the bike. Thanks!
Hey there! Actually, the BMW S 1000 XR has been receiving a completely new seat - we recommend you go check it out at your local dealer once the bike is available by spring this year. The M seat of the M 1000 XR is optimized compared to the S 1000 XR with an increase in usable bench length and width for more freedom of movement. In addition, the seat comes in three different heights. We highly recommend you to check out both bikes at a dealer nearby: www.bmw-motorrad.com/dealer. Hi, I have visited a local dealer today and I talked to my colleague, who is a customer representative. We both agreed on one thing - Patience, patience and once again patience until it the bike officially appears at the dealership. Anyway I have pre-calculated leasing conditions. If the seat meet my expectations I will buy the beastie 😊
