BMW, send a loaner M1000XR to Austin, TX. We have two motorcycle events at Circuit of the Americas in November, a track really well suited for this bike. With over 2 million views of S1000XR content on track, most of my channel viewership is interested in this new bike.

These are 2 gorgeous beauties... For the M XR: Black motorsport for me but the Sr: Gravity black or Gravity blue looks amazing If we can get gravity black with M style, even better!!
The M model is indeed the pinnacle of performance in the crossover segment, but the surprise for me is the latest version of the S1000XR. For the real world, I can't think of a better all-around platform to tick off epic mileage. I'm so stoked about the record attempt we're preparing for with this bike.

Looks like BMW has committed even stronger to crossover, sport touring and over all performance enhancements - great! I would love to see how this translates into an update of the now 1250RS, which is hopefully then a 1300RS soon? Isle of Mann TT proved M-1000-XR equipped with S1000RR shift-cam 4 cyl engine good for 201 HP!
and
Multistrada V4 RS has been released with its V4 desmo valve timing - Desmosedici stradale engine from Panigale V4 for around 195 HP

Impressive bike the XR again being slightly improved even further! Personally I'll be looking at the S1000 XR with it combining everything from comfort touring to sporty performance. Expensive bikes but with all the technical advancements in cycling safety are worth paying. Good to see the SOS is now standard equipment too. Congratulations BMW Motorrad!

Question: how does the gearing of the mxr compare to the 2019 model? (2020 had longer gearing)

201 hp that's crazy even higher then MTSV4RS, changed the full system AK exhaust can reduce around 12KG so the net weight can be 211kg. Will see who is better.

Sorry BMW, I have an M1000RR.. but will be going V4RS for my new Roadie..
On a Pikes Peak V4 myself--why NOT the XR? Infant to try it. My concern is a "screamer" motor is not the bike my riding with wife and panniers 80% of the time needs. Torque....
If I can give the BMW marketing department a tip, I'd say, let the boss and engineer do the intros to the topics being covered, but get a professional voiceover artist to do the rest.

Magnificent M1000xr S1000 XR LIGHT WHITE UNI is my favorite version. Now you've got me confused, I have to change bikes and I don't know what to choose anymore 😵💫 Between the BMW M1000 XR S 1000 RR S 1000 XR😅
I ride a 2022 S1000XR M Sport, factory low (being a short rider it was a relief). I see no such options with MXR or even SXR M Sport (but the black and blue normal versions still have it) in the configurator. Why is that? Beautiful bikes there anyway!

@@bmwmotorrad The reasons I bought the 22 M Sport are because its an M Sport, in white livery and low suspension was available as an option. So I am not upgrading to any MXR or SXR M until this is available again!
How much weight can the carbon wheels support with luggage and pillion exactly?
Hello, thank you for your message. Both the BMW M 1000 XR and the BMW S 1000 XR have a permissible total weight of 450 kg. Due to the lower curb weight of the BMW M 1000 XR, it boasts a payload capacity of 227 kg, whereas the BMW S 1000 XR has a payload capacity of 223 kg.

After watching all the pre-production review, I could not help it but to order the MXR last week. I don't mind waiting 5 to 7 months for it. By the summer of 2024, I should be riding a fully loaded BMW M 100 XR Competition Black. I don't know what to expect, but one thing for sure, it's going to be ecstatic.

I bought the Gravity blue 2024 S1000 XR but can’t get blue panniers like in your video. Dealer sats they don’t even exist in the parts catalogue. But i forgive you because the bike is SO awesome😅

Im so happy that the seat has been redesigned. It ruins the older version and it was main reason I bought different bike! Well done BMW! Finaly.
Would be nice if BMW admitted there was an inherent design flaw with the seat and offer a recall /redesign for current owners.
I can’t agree - I came from a gs1200 but find the XR seat just as comfortable
@@jesterm7597 This is not question about comfort but movement from the bike in curves. If you are riding on the sport bike and you can not lean from bike because your but is in the pot seat, there is something wrong.
@@mraki1980 also leads to pressure points as you cant move about the seat to offer relief.

Hi there, you probably mean the Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), which contributes significantly to the high driving dynamics and exemplary driving safety. This is part of the standard equipment for both bikes. 🙂
It is very unfortunate that hard saddlebags are not available for this bike. It could keep my from buying one. I use them daily to keep my jacket and helmet while I am doing other things.
Will the new MXR be able to accommodate luggage in the form of top box and panniers.

I just rolled up 98,000 miles on my '17 S1000XR and I'm looking at changing it for the M XR.
I love the little flash of the petrol nozel.. BMW can then say we warned you in the Advert that it was thirsty 😂

You have the option of attaching softbags to your bike. Both luggage holders have a volume of 8 liters and a maximum load of 5 kg.
Looks way better than the GS 13008Unfortunatly,I'll have to stay on my 1250 GS and hope they make a GS 1300 M with a good-looking headlight, if not, it will be the Multistrada V4 GT for me

@@Arispo94I recall 200hp H2sx having factory hard side cases so yes MXR should have it without high speed wobbles too. A ton of riders are constantly asking about luggage.
The BMW M XR is a Cross over bike where performance is key. That's why we've included soft bags as an optional accessory to carry your belongings on long distance rides in order for you to get the best performance. This also means, that the luggage rack of the S 1000 XR does not fit onto the M XR. Please appreciate that we do not further comment on internal decisions.

Will the M1000XR have GP/reverse shift capability? Not having that was a big annoyance on my previous s1000XR (2016 version).
Hi there, there is no reverse shift for the BMW M XR! But there are a lot of other features that increase the bike’s performance and comfort - also on the racetrack. The additional adjustability of the fork's spring base in conjunction with the standard Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) suspension strut and the standard Shift Assistant Pro are just to name two. However, the reverse shift capability is a feature that you can retrofit yourself or with external help. 😊

Thanks for your interest! 😊 The BMW M XR has a seat height of 850 mm as standard. With the M low sports seat, the seat height is reduced by 30 mm. You can also select the M sports seat high in the configurator, where the seat height is 870 mm.
I just sold my 2016 S1000XR, so I'm happy to see these. But...I already miss the asymmetric headlights, though. Unique look.

@@Big1_ Well, it took colossal amounts of energy maintaining the rift in the time-space continuum necessary to stay in 2016 where the bike was new. So I had to let it close and return to 2023, where the bike was now seven years old.

Is hard luggage available for the MXR?
There are only saddlebags as optional equipment for the BMW M XR to carry your stuff even on long-distance trips!
