Hi I have a Triumph Stag which I recently fitted a Wizard aluminum radiator. I listened with interest your comments on some of the fitting issues you encountered with yours. My experience was exactly the same, but very pleased with the final results. I have also added a header tank system from Stag Weber which really gives worthwhile extra cooling capacity and a saftey margin, as it's fitted with a low level warning switch. It's great to hear your comments on the Stag and how capable and comfortable it is on long journeys and in modern traffic conditions. I wish you continued good luck and enjoyment with your Stag. Regards Russ
I also added a header tank. It was from an MGB I think,. I bought it at a swap meet years ago. No level sensor but when used in conjunction with a catch bottle (mounted in the original position of the plastic expansion bottle) it is easy to monitor.
Great video very helpful I am putting an air con unit in mine is well I managed to get hold of 3 units and make one good one I am having trouble with the wiring loom no one has a loom for right hand drive with A/C here in England any help I would be great full thanks enjoy the stag.
Under the bonnet is pretty easy. It is just the one circuit running to the pressure switch and then onto the compressor clutch and then to ground. Easy enough to add length to if needed. The heater unit is a bit more complex. There are a set of relays that alternate which fan comes on when activated thus evening out the wear between the two fan motors for longevity. I don't expect that LH or RH drive harnesses are very different as the controls are centrally located. The relays are near the glove box so that changes but again it seems like the wire should still be about the same length.
