    Nice film and nice intro. Picture Number 4 with Number 4 is the former East German Longtrack Champion Dietmar Lieschke. This picture is from 1986 at the track in Ludwigslust. In this time before the meeting started the best four rider of the practice session had the chance to beat the lap record in a single lap. This is the attempt of Lieschke.

    Another excellent one Martyn. I am sure that the Commentator gave the incorrect speed @ 2:23. Do the Longtrack Bikes run two speed gearboxes like Grass Track.

    I've been to Herxheim. That pub on the right looks familiar ( had a few beers...). The owners wife was Portuguese as I recall.

    Never a huge Erik fan..but in saying that he could always raise his game when it mattered most especially against Hans who in my opinion was the more all round better rider...
