It is, but any thing in Naples from the Kingdom of the Two-sicily is been left in abandon. The new state to encourage a false unity wants southerners to forget their glorious past, so any thing of value is been destroyed, left in ruin or looted, this way people forget their past and remain under the yolk of so called, "Italian Unity" In reality it was done to remove from the face of the earth a rich State that ruled the Mediterranean Basin along with the Turkish Empire. The excuse was Russia entering the Mediterranean basin (Crimean War) In the end Turkish Empire disappeared along the Kingdom of Two-sicily's, the new state ruled by Piedmont (Savoy dynasty) gained a colony called (Meridione) Kingdom of Two-sicily. The Southern Italian massacre is not been told and even denied that existed, but the fact remain that a diaspora of millions of people is still active today. 30 million of Southern Italian descent are living in the US today alone.

@@antoniofarinaccio541 Thank you for this important historical note. Such architectural splendor as seen in this palazzo needs to be balanced with an awareness of its human costs. This makes it no less a treasure but includes a sober recognition that the powers that constructed it are often far from beautiful. Due to its inherent disrespect, suppressing the truth is never an honorable means for unifying a people, society, or culture.

The problem with Naples is Italy. Naples was for century a capital. Today Naples is been denied to flourish like Turin, Milan and Genova. The three northern city's have a monopoly in the new state. Naples is given a role of a provincial capital. The Camorra is there to keep Naples under control the state is purposely absent to have the upper hand. Naples and Southern Italy is a colony of the north if the south would be industrialized the north of the country would loose its monopoly. Why do you thing great magistrates like Borsellino, Della Chiesa... wear assassinated? They came close to discover wear the order came from. Mafia by English Historians is understood by them to be a, "state ruled by cast" The cast are Berlusconi, Renzi, Napolitano, Fiat, RAI, Benetton. Outside influences or occult powers are, Banks, Multinational, pharmaceutical company, UK, USA, Germany. For political reason and strategic military position is the dominion on the Mediterranean Basin. Italy has to be divided in a covert way. The north rich with Liberals, the center Liberal Democrats kept well organized Florence and Roma. The South Naples, Palermo and Calabria mafia. Remember this way, "The occult exterior power have the upper hand." I do not know if you herd, Sofial Loren loudly claims, "I'm Neapolitan Not Italian" Why do you thing she says that? I will go further, I claim to be Italic not Italian, "Italian is a abstraction invented by Piedmont and England" Lord Palmerstone. In the British Parliament in 1860 declared the ex Kingdom of the Two Sicily's a, "Negation Of God" For the simple reason for not participating in the Crimean War and denied the British from mining surfer in Sicily, to keep neutrality plus they paid little to extract it and made enormous profit by reselling it . Lord Palmerston at the same time was responsible for the, Potatoes Famine in Ireland, many died of starvation wile the rich land owner British subject kept their storage fully stock, to keep prices high. If any city was to become a capital of a united Italy it was Naples not Rome. The Bank of Two-sicily contributed at the time of "unity" the beauty of 440, 000 000 of Ducats in Gold not paper money and the state was at the time to thirds most industrialized country in the world. With the third most important navy as well with Castellammare di Stabia south of Naples as the equivalent of what Liverpool is for England. One invades a country because there is gold to steal not because it is poor. See what happen to North Africa by removing Ghedaffi. Poverty is proverbial. One last thing, If the Italian stare repays the Bank Of Naples now made to fail on purpose by the state add 12 zeros in Euros to the amount stolen mentioned above. Piemonte's soldiers as they advanced the first thing they did emptied coffers to any city's bank they seized by force. That was what Garibaldi did by entering Palermo, Sicily.

I could feel your excitement with this breathtakingly gorgeous property, Danilo. 😊 It was truly warranted. I am overcome with heady emotions at the sheer level of beauty, craftsmanship, scale, and history presented in this palazzo. I'm going to have to lovingly replay this a few more times to take it all in...simply divine!

I don't know if there is a superlative that can describe this property! If not just for the history, Giuseppe Garibaldi's proclamation of the unity of southern Italy to the newly formed Kingdom of Italy, to the sublime beauty of the interior, the feeling of a mélange of the baroque combined with a soupcon of art nouveau would be home in this interior. The tapestries are magnificent and add to the historical touches. Viva l'Italia!

This was such a treat. As Danilo says, you don't get to see this every day. Incredible opportunity for the public to get an in-depth look at such an incredibly beautiful and glamorous property before it goes into private hands.

I've seen a lot of properties and indeed the original builders (& subsequent owners) have maintained that level of "impress and astonish" with visitors - including virtual ones. What a treat getting to see a true gem of luxury living.
