Honored to have known Don (and Doug Peluso) since we were ROTC classmates at The Ohio State University. Met Alan at their joint book signing in Columbus, OH. Both are accomplished authors, true patriots, and selfless servants to our Constitution. Thank you for having them on your podcast.

Thank you Jack for hosting these to heros.
Bravery and Courage are words used in an attempt to express commitment and passion.
    GREATER LOVE SAYS IT BETTER.
To all those we lost in June 2005. Your sacrifice has not been forgotten.

Special mention: The men we lost recovering our fallen brothers; men whose candles burned brightly, ran toward the danger in great peril to their own lives:foresaking their own box of emotions; their wellbeing, to overcome and rescue our brothers. Sons of this nation.
    WE ARE ETERNALLY GREATFUL......

Great Episode. It reminded me of being a young lad in a Navy Helicopter Squadron listening to some of our senior Pilots and CPO"s talk about being in HAL Squadrons in Vietnam. I remember my Det Chief tell me they used a grease pencil to mark the windscreen. A few years later I attended his retirement ceremony where they read his Navy Comendation Medal (with V) award citation he got for manning a M60 during Tet. I truely wish those men were in charge today.

My daughter was trying the "Street to Seat" program. Yeah, that is pretty much non-existent now(at least in Kansas). It's their street and their seat and you pretty much have to enlist if you want an interview with the flight board. 4.0 GPA, 29 ACT, Private Pilot and they flat came back with "no". They need to rename the program to: We are short on Pilots but our enlistment numbers are down so you have to enlist.
Awesome show and love the content! Looking forward to the new book!

Jack, read that first review today... fired up to read "Only the Dead" (or listen to). Loving the brand, I'm retired Air Force, but met a guy the day before a former Ranger. He had the crossed Winklers on his phone... another big fan.

Hay Jack Carr!! First off i want you to honestly know that i didn't know about your Middle Son's Problem... Your Wife is a Real Hero! Kids are our future. I have a Step Niece. that once had Seizures... Herself when i was there when it ever happened i would jump into bed with her and hold her so TIGHT! That eventually she never had another seizure again. I might be the bastard son of a Brigadier General. Who was the DS. of The Flying Doctors! Ten years before i was born to an Affair with my Mother. Her Drugo Parents would let her have seizures. in her bed at night and would just do nothing about it. I could not in good Conscience allow that to happen when all i wanted to be was just like my Biological Father. Helping kids through The Flying Doc's. Which is one the reasons why i joined the SES In my Country back in the Late-Mid 90's. Because i care about giving my time and love towards kids that had no1. In their lives to give a shit about them. To some people Brigadier General max Simkin. Was also known as The Blue Max. To me he was not in my life much growing up. This is why i'm so hard on those who need just more then just a FIRE! Under their Asses... To get them back to their feet fighting for what all your Brother's and Sister's to the Left and Right. That gave lives for! Fighting for those who can't find the Courage... To stand up for those who can not. Your Wife and son Humbles me Jack Carr. they really do. If you and your Wife ever need any help with your son. Trough Extra Life. They could find the right kind of Doctor to help with this NR2F1 Gene? I have never heard of it myself. but i want you hear a True story about a Water-Land Search that i once was on. We had to find a 14yold boy who had Seizures, and had one trying to earn some money to fix his Front Tyer on his Pushbike. When i was the one who found him half clinging to a Warf's pilon... that he had his Seizure on, was one of the hardest things i had to deal with in my life! which is what makes me push on! Because of kids like him... Who's Mother broke down right in front of me around her other kids... knowing that she will never get to hold him her Arms.
