"Perhaps a strange combination" you say in your description, but isn't that Morrowind, Vvardenfell and the Dunmer down to a tee? A stranger in a strange land I think was a motto they had when making TES3. Music like this is basically perfect for it!
Good for the Ashlanders certainly, but maybe a bit less so for the settled Dunmer? Gamelan and the like is a bit too tribal, I'd think more north African or middle-eastern for them personally
Well, this is absolutely crazy. When I first listened to zen bamboo flute (honkyoku), it made me think about Morrowind for some weird reason. And now I see the same thing happened to you with Balinese gamelan! Definitely something evocative of the "Far East" and "the Indies" about Morrowind, right? There were no begging monks in the game, but they would have fit... Check the hats worn by the Komuso monks: very "Morrowind-like". Thank you very much for this. But could you credit the artists? One of them (at least) is particularly impressive, with composition and work on textures akin to 16th-19th centuries "classical" painting.
You, sir, have the most genuine vision of Morrowind. Thanks for that work and wealth beyond measure, outlander.
Agreed, muthsera
This right here is why dunmer are my favorite race
2024 and still listening. The Dunmer are easily the most fascinating race in the Elder Scrolls.

may the light of Azura shine upon thee!
An unexpected but excellent combination. ALMSIVI in every hour.
Amazing work Ungern, greetings.
Thanks for this video!
After watching the new Skywind gameplay,
I just needed that!
Dunmer are just....weird❤
This is so refreshing. Perfect combination, if I may say so.
This is actually Sundanese from West Java, not Balinese
Somebody should do a mod to put Balinese music into the game.
The music perfectly complements the alien culture of the Dunmer.
I love this channel 😁

Hey, I didn’t know you were an Elder Scrolls fan 😃
Someone send this beat to ghostmane. I'd kill 5 argonians as sacrifice to mephala to see the result of that.
i recommend playing "black hole sun" by Soundgarden in another tab as you watch this
This is Sundanese gamelan from Java. Not Balinese. 🙏
