Nice to see your pals on the faster bikes sticking with you and not pissing off and leaving you, I love my Enfield too, it takes a long time to realise that there's more to motorcycling than seeing how far round the twist grip will go......hope you still have your one, I will never part with mine!
@@Sonniesadventures - yeah you don't get the proper sound with a front-facing mic. If we pay lip service to speed limits, I can keep with my mate's 1800 Goldwing on my Classic EFI-500. I've had bikers chase me down to compliment the noise it makes.
@@jeffslade1892 I've read mine is only good for 15,000 ft as it was made in May 2019. Later ones were mapped for 18k. How can I possibly tolerate this?
I have never seen a Royal Enfield overtake on a dual carriageway! Thank you internet 😂 nice bike I always wanted one but three in the garage will be too much according to some people.
I Looked at the bikes your friends were riding and thought, good luck keeping up with them. I bought a new 2007 RE Bullet 500 in Washington State that year. The electric start worked now and then. Not a bike to stall at a traffic light. Slow, but a fun back road weekend bike to ride.
Thanks for your comment Jon. I totally agree, the Enfield wasn't built to keep up with this lot. The funny thing was when we got to Matlock that everyone commented on house much of a pleasure it was to follow me as the bike sounds amazing 😉. This is a 16 plate and hasn't had any issues. It is so much fun on back roads up to 30mph. Ride safe and enjoy.
@@Sonniesadventures Great news. I just love the bike, Just want to cruise at 55 to 60, I'm happy with that. Have you had any reliability issue? Thanks.
Reliability minor niggles, usually electrical connectors. Run it in properly and re-torque every bolt in sight around 1000 miles. The only part run-in at the factory is the piston, the whole bike beds in. 2015 Classic EFI-500
So its the handle from the company itself, you haven’t changed or modified it.... In many reviews of this bike in youtube i have seen different handle bar.. so i got confused if its from the company itself or its different...Thanks for the reply..
Thanks for your comment. It was fine at 60mph but keeping up with their acceleration was the hard part. Through the a roads to Matlock it was great. Sadly it didn't upload the whole video as go pro failed. 😪
Hi Raj, 70mph which is 110kph I think? It's pretty vibey at this speed. Best speeds are 30to50mph which makes you choose better and more fun routes . I hope this helps?
@@Sonniesadventures helps a lot. Planning to get a stealth back. Wanted battle green but regulations don't allow it in India. It's the bike of my dreams. But all the reviews saying vibrations are a lot are making me second guess the decision. Can you say something on this? Thank you?
@@rajlucka939 I think the vibrations at the character. It's not that bad around the 80kph to be honest. So much fun, so if it's your dream bike... get it :)
@@Sonniesadventures thanks man. I have ridden a 350 and it's not that great at higher speeds. And in the city with those vibes and thumps you feel like the king. Just feels like there's a lot more power just because of the sound of that engine. I was worried about vibes for touring but I guess 80 is a good speed for touring.

While I own a 1200cc bike, I also love the simplicity of the Bullet. It's a fun bike to ride, but generally I reserve it for back roads riding.
Brad Taylor agreed, it’s fun for exploring back lanes. Merry Xmas
Turned 2700 miles on my Interceptor today 5,000 ft up California's mountains.
But I still want a classic 350 too.
In mountains you want the 500. The EFI models are mapped to 18,000-feet, the indian army takes these bikes to 21,000-ft.

Bob Michaels do it! They overtake anything that’s stood still
Properly run-in they can use the top of the power band and can out-gun a small family car.

what a lovely place to ride bullet 😊
Ha they weren't the best roads to be honest. My battery on the camera ran out before I got to the good roads hence the random cutout in the video. ☺
Very nice sound of the motor.
Thank you
Pharking hell that bloody noise.... ! I would be putting that stock exhaust straight back on....
Heheh I did end up changing to a slightly less offensive exhaust:)
David can you please provide me an information about the ECU ,is it different from Indian ECU ??
Hi.
Could this bike be used as a every day commuter (15miles)and 5 or 6 trips a year of 150 miles?
Is it's reliability good?
Thanks.

Hi please help, what mirrors are they and are they easy to fit, I have just bought a 500 efi and need bar end mirrors to get that look!
They were from a speciality company near Solihull who do Enfield parts :)
Nice to see a classic beautiful bike between those ugly industrial without any feeling bikes :)

Is this the factory fitted exhaust note or an aftermarket one?

I love royal enfield without side mirror i am from india i have royal enfield my enfield is modiyfied
What speeds were you doing David? Looks like the 500 has good cruise speed.
Is it significantly more than the 350?
I think I get to 55mph which is comfortable on the 500. Anything above vibrates like crazy.
Which model and silencer?
Planning on getting one here in the Netherlands
