One thing that I submitted in the Feedback app was Dark Icons in macOS Sequoia just like iOS and iPadOS 18. That would be cool to see when the OS goes into Dark Mode. Good video Aaron.

For all: if you do not have a iPhone 15 and higher and you want to have as Focus: Reduce Interruptions - on your iPhone and you have the Beta 15.1 or beta 2 installed, if you set it up here as Focus, it will automatically show up on the iPhone as well. Without it, I did not had it on my iPhone 13
I love this new update! Beta 1 was more buggy and some things didn’t work. Now everything works better. Plus, I love the new Sequoia wallpapers, I just wish that Apple would put a midday and night mode just like the other wallpapers.

If you can afford that machine having to be reformatted and starting over then it’s fine. But if it’s used for day-to-day business or crucial to what you do for a living or to education, I definitely would not use a beta on it despite it being pretty good.
I dont know if its new: if you go under wallpaper and scroll down till the end, for me the Hello Metallic silver and other colors are new, and I absolutely love them-

I actually really like the new change to the screen sharing. With the new system, Apps that you gave the rights to view your screen can’t spy on you anymore that’s great. It’s quite similar to iOS actually.
If you’ve got just one machine that you run your life on then, no, don’t put betas on that. If you’ve got a spare machine then absolutely go for it and try out all your important software. Things that have broken for me with past iOS betas, for example, include banking apps and provincial ID/healthcare access - would have been very awkward if I was using my main/only phone for betas!

Developers want to check that their software works and implement timely fixes. So Apple has a beta program. But they don’t want you to mess up your daily work or enjoyment, so they caution you to test on spare computers and phones. If people follow this guideline then everyone benefits.

I think the sleep bug is gone where the machine crashes and restarts on it's own. I noticed your machine didn't go black and restart. That was always a persistent bug in MacOS 14, all versions.
My favorite out of all so far is iPhone Mirroring, I have apps on my phone not on my mac so it does come in handy. The phone seems to be actual size as well.
Apple added nine Apple related backgrounds for FaceTime in MacOs 15.1 beta 2 and I think the background you choose will now pop up the next time you open FaceTime again (it used to be the blue background)

The latest public beta fixed an problem in Lightroom where it wouldn’t see your camera, so couldn’t directly import photos. Bought an XQD reader and was able to import straight to my Mac, however this update now won’t see my XQD reader (ironically)
Hi, I wanted to share an issue I've been experiencing since upgrading to iOS 17.0. Not only on my iPhone but also on my iPad when I open and modify PDF files (using the built-in viewer, not any third-party PDF reader). Specifically, when I underline words and save the file to my iPad’s memory, I cannot reopen it. When attempting to reopen it, nothing happens. I also tried opening the files with other apps, such as PDF Expert, but it says, "The file does not exist or is missing."
A big issu , and the reason why I have downgraded my mabook air M1 13" silicone ( 2020 ) from Sonoma to Ventura is that when streaming or playing a movie with the Mac connected to a big screen TV through HDMI it freezes ( first picture stops and only sound . But freezes completely , have to hold the reset-button until the Mac shuts down ) . Doesn't matter if I use VLC or QT . It happens anyhow after a while, done updates and all . And Looked at apple forum amnd others. There is no known solution. I hope this is resolved in Sequia . Big thing for us that uses a TV as screen and also as main screen when using internal as 2nd . Cam You test this , please? No issue in Ventura
All I want Apple to do is make the Os and logic and Final Cut to Utilize all the cores and be more efficient than da Vinci and Reaper daw , logic is horrible for cpu use and needs massive amounts of updates users really want .
On my MacBook Pro M1 Max I had a bug that I couldn’t shake were the Mac wouldn’t charge I lived it in and the orange lite on MagSafe would flash I had to downgrade to senoma this fixed the issue did anyone else have this problem
I don't know about Aaron, but I use Chrome for Gmail and TH-cam. Chrome gives me the ability to scroll to the comments while the video is playing in full screen. I can't do that on Safari.

I didn't think it was possible, but against all odds, Apple managed to make _System Settings_ somehow worse by wasting _even more_ space on useless descriptions for specific settings panes as though we all miraculously forgot how to use computers overnight. And now there's _more_ user harassment to even be able to run software we _explicitly_ ordered the system to run. If Apple can waste development resources on this nonsense, they can also spend it on giving me a toggle to tell macOS to f-off. I live in clown world.
I give you a good advice. DON'T install it. The beta 15.1 is very buggy and I lost access to my account. The system is not even finishing loading at the start...
Many people criticized macOS when it was in its flat era (2014-2020), they used to say “I wish that Mac OS X would go back to the skeuomorphic days”…but I understand what you’re talking about.

Macos 15.1 beta 2 is fantastic. I run it on my Mac mini and everything works just fine.
Its really not for macbooks. Battery life for my m1 pro is atrocious atm on beta 2.

When logging in, TouchID didn’t work with Beta 1. Now with beta 2 it seems to be fixed.
