My new course on macOS Sequoia is now available! Get 40% off with the code "trees" before Sept 27. Read more about it and view sample lessons here: courses.macmost.com/courses/sequoia/?cc=trees

It is mostly nice, but my only problem is that I have a daily reminder set that I would prefer not to see in the Calendar, as it just shows on every single day and clutters up the Calendar. I want the reminder, but not to see it in Calendar. I'd still like to see my one-time reminders in the Calendar, though. Is there a way to set certain reminders to NOT show in Calendar?

The updated Password Manager is a plus. It has a better layout, is easier to use, and isn’t hidden in settings anymore. I just spent an hour updating some passwords this morning. I thought Keychain was a good deal before, but this is better.
Another one that I haven’t had a chance to try is the new background gradients used with video apps it was described in this video.

I think Apple could maybe reset the balance a bit on bug-fix releases versus new feature releases. There are so many outstanding bugs in 15.3 which are being built on top of in new-feature releases that at some point its going to be unfixable. For example ... have you tried removing apps from the "local network" section of the privacy system settings because they're there multiple times? Currently there seems to be no way - not even a tccutil reset works. This is because it was engineered for iOS and has been shoved into MacOS where you can have multiple copies or versions of an app (which isn't possible on iOS). So the MacOS version replicates iOS even though they have very different app environments.

    Hey Gerry,
Thanks for the quick overview. Your videos are more awaited then Apple itself. 😊
Please guide whether this OS will heat up the CPU/GPU or will it slow down the computer?
    I have Macbook Air M1.
    Your opinion matters. Please guide.

It shouldn't make any difference. Maybe a little faster as optimizations are always a part of any OS update.

I was really hoping that the Journal app on the phone would now be available in Sequoia and sync between each other.

Also, I am missing it, or is there no Search function in Journal?

I'm surprised that app hasn't made it to macOS… I mean, I'd be much more inclined to journal on my Mac than on my iPhone…

@@guilhermesoares8815 Now you can do it with phone mirroring :) It's something.

I think Apple decided to keep Journal on the iPhone because it can link to maps, locations, photos, videos, activity, etc. A laptop even though mobile doesn’t travel like a phone.

@MiningForPies It's like a personal diary for entering things you have done or places you've gone, or things you have learned. Pretty much a place to document what ever you want.
