Thank you, almost what I was looking for 😉 I have the same car, but will put the camera higher, between the numberplate lights and run the cable through the trunk
Great video until i saw the drill. 😂 i might just leave the reverse cam for now but this is the best video so far, especially getting power from the reverse light Genius
Got the same car and similar kit so thanks for this! I was going to place my camera above number rear number but this causes issues with having to run cables from the boot lid!
Use heavy duty green gardening wire to attach the cables to ,and make sure you use normal see through sticky tape to made sure the green cable ends don't catch or come loose when pulling them through the rubber fittings, make sure to attach behind the camera plug and then wrap gently round the centre pin and bring forward about half a foot then attach see through sellotape so it looks like a snakes belly after it's eaten some food ,then this should pull gently through the rubber ,working the rubber back and forth as you go and squeezing gently behind the plug pushing it forward through the rubber
Focus aftermarket radio and with aftermarket focus handle unit reverse camera! My is not working! How did you connect?.. .. * I solder both wires, reverse lights "back/red negative to black/green and the other positive "all red to black and white" is that wrong? Back of car, I soldered to the back up lights "clear light" ! * I solder both wires, "back/red negative to black/green and the other ..Positive "all red to black and white" is that wrong?
Hi There, sorry i dont quite know what cable you are looking for. The Camera power cable must connect the reverse light cable at video time 6:29. The reverse camera signal cable is normally yellow looking at video time 10:45
@@quickfix5116 is there a way to make it powered on all the time so that it loads faster when reverse signal is detected? in this way you can also view the camera even without reversing
Terrible, the wiring should and could be inside the boot and the camera up in the hatch above the number plate so the RAG box in the image is in the right place. What you’ve done is not best practice and I’d not follow the guide regarding the camera.
Dude are you a William no Mates? Get someone to hold the camera for you. You can concentrate on presentation. Great video, thanks👍. When did the fire start due to bad connectionse? 🤔 😄😄😄😄
You are absolute legend, the level of detail is amazing thankyou!

Fantastic, just what I needed as about to do the same on the same car. Thanks for your help!

Do the reverse bleepers still work?
I dont have reverse beepers in my car. but that sounds like a separate system, probably would continue to work.
This video is amazing so much good information and I have the same radio thank you so Much!
What did you connect the reverse cable to?
Thanks Jackobie!
Hello, could you tell me how I find the reverse cable in the radio cables? It is to connect the small cable that brings the cable with the yellow plug

Any idea about where the red wire connects at the monitor /head unit?
do you mean that random wire coming out of the yellow RCA connector? that doesn't connect to anything.
Thanks for that.
no problem!
Yo my dlan +500 doesn’t turn on anymore it’s just dead idk what happens can u help
What wire is that purple one you connected the rca cable to?
Hi mate, where did you buy your radio? I just want to make a little update. Thx
You can find many of these radios on ebay, but be careful they are sometimes very cheap and nasty.
is there a separate sensor for reverse shift fed to the android device? Or the video automatically displayed when the camera is powered on?
just when camera is powered on unfortunately

@@RenanteNate If you connect the wires to a always on signal surely. But I think your radio will display the vid signal all the time
thanks dude. Much appreciated..

At 1:25 ... What did you unplug?
Cable for the aux input. Not all models have that.
Smashed it
Great video, it'll help me a ton :D
Btw If you dont know soldering that well, take a look at NASA's soldering manual, its really thoruogh :D
Happy that it helped! that sounds like a good shout. will check it out.
