Dude this was a game changer! 3 days i've been trying to work this out. almost bought Mocha Pro and everything. legend!
Liked & Subb'd.
Thanks dude! I appreciate you!
great vid! love how you showed the workflow in different scenarios helped out so much grasping this concept! thank you
You're very welcome!
That's what I need! Thank you so much!
Awesome content
Thanks for the video I have been looking for a video on how to clean up my magic Mask full body background removal. Please do more studio tutorials. I subscribed.
thank you verry much
Nice one
Is there a way to retain or add your shadows back..like if a person is dancing or walking on the street especially a bright day like there are shadows but using magic masking and using a different background loses those shadows..no longer cast shadows…is there a way to retain or do you have an example? Or maybe u could make another tutorial on that….meaning dumping the original background and using a different scene that still requires the subject to cast shadows on the ground to make it believable that his actually there…thankx
Got some great tips from this video thanks. My finished mask keeps disappearing when I go from Fusion to Edit and back into Fusion again. Any tips on why? Got the paid version.
keep it up bro amazing work👏
Thanks, dude! 🙌🏼
I really like this tutorial!
Thank you! I’m glad it was helpful!
Working in a music video and im using different background scenes to place my subject in from one shot to the next it would be cool to see how u do this…
That would be a super cool use case for this effect!
Is it possible to use Magic Mask to create a light saber effect? If so, how?
After done the tracking, and go back to edit page and play, but why the footageplay in slow motion?
👍👍👍👍❤️
Hey, great tool! :D However, I'm running into a really random issue. I set up the add and subtract, it tracks throughout the whole clip... and then it doesnt mask ANY other frame than the first inital one I draw. No clue why, it just goes through the video showing the masked out video and then when the tracking is done it goes back to being the normal clip. Any idea why this would be? ;I
it happened to me when i had my "timeline proxy resolution" to 'Quarter" it wouldnt show me the mask but when i put it back to full it would show the mask again. i dont know if its the same problem but thats what happened to me
@@supermannygg Damn im still having this issue, and my timeline proxy res is set to full. So infuriating, I literally draw and tell it to track the next frame. It generates the transparent frame perfectly and once it processes, it literally dissapears.
Heyyy I use the magic mask 100% of the time on the color tab and every time I do any change behind the node I used to track or turn on and off all the nodes my track is gone… there’s any way for this don’t happen?
Use fusion magic mask
Fusion magic mask
does it take time if we keep it on better to tracK?????
I believe it takes a little bit longer if it's set to better during the track. However, "better" has some more granular control over the mask once the key is finished tracking.
--- I appreciate that you didn't talk in a funny voice or have crazy edits or go off on tangents like so many other tutorials. It was concise which I found refreshing, keep up the good work! ---20APR24
I keep getting this wanting not rendered error, it was working before, any ideas?
I would try turning off smart render caches, sometimes those can really affect different things with the magic mask. Please update me if you're able to find a solution!
@@DominicKrupp I didn’t try that I’m afraid if I did that my pc would explode lol, I did clear my cache and then the issue spread to all my other clips, what I’m trying right now is getting everything else finalized then doing the magic mask is the color page and rendering 🤞 thank you for responding though. Just found your channel going to give that workflow a try next video!
Whe i try magic mask my subject, the whole image disappears, becomes transaprent. Cant figure out why, seen 3 tutorials now, all show the same exact thing, but when i try it doesnt work.. so frustrstrating
Try inverting the mask.
Just found out why i couldn't find magic mask button from that short. Turns out that ain't available in the free version. But thanks for the video anyway! I'll try to remember it when I buy resolve.
bro magic mask is paid in Davinci resolve
That is correct. However, if you’re looking to take video editing seriously as a business or freelancer Davinci Resolve Studio is one of the best values out there when it comes to NLEs. Apologies for not specifying that sooner.
It's right in the title: how to mask in davinci resolve STUDIO.
yes, not everything can be free in life.
