This is a great idea! I have a pen body that uses Parker G2 style refills but I love colorful inks, and the idea of putting a favorite ink into my favorite pen body is so nice.

You can just open the back part of the cartridge and refill it there, no need to take out the tip.

In your writing test are you not just using the oil based parker ink that was still in the tip? How long did the refilled cartridge continue to write?

I use a similar technique with my Montblancs.. those MB cartridges are so expensive and they dry out so often on me, and as I do have some MB fountain pens (and their ink as well), I just use that to refill my rollerballs..

how did you remove the nib?! my refills have the nib stuck hard on them... there is no way to remove it so easy!
