  • EPISODE 2 IS UP! - • Cat D7 Vintage Dozer R...
    In this video, I'm headed way down south in Texas to a cattle ranch with a good buddy to try to resurrect a 1959 or 1960 Cat D7D bulldozer that's been sitting for over a decade. Watch the video to see if we succeed! BTW, for those of you who know heavy equipment, please post up a comment; I could use a bit of advice here and there since heavy equipment really isn't my wheelhouse.
    Please don't forget to LIKE the video, POST a comment, and SUBSCRIBE to the channel!
    Thanks!

    That is a Oil Bath air cleaner, with the wire mesh missing.
    The missing cap is the Trans. oil fill.
    Those earlier Cat Diesels have a Oil Pressure block in the governor and will not let the throttle rack move until pressure builds.
    Crank engine with compression off until oil press. builds then see if it moves.

    Thank you and Will for your service! Good luck with that dozer. I do want to see more about that old ford! I’m originally from the hill country myself. I’m glad you are now out and able to be back in Texas!

      Thanks for your support! And thanks for wishing us good luck - we're going to need it! Which old Ford? Brownie? If so, more content is coming, hopefully soon! Also have '69 Bronco barn find content coming up, too! Thanks again! Scott

      Yes sir, brownie. It’s a sharp old truck! Those old dozers can be cantankerous. Good! I am glad you’ll be doing more videos on Brownie and I look forward to the bronco as well. I wanted to make sure you hadn’t gotten away from those videos. I had seen you had changed gears a bit and I hoped you hadn’t given up on those old truck videos.

    Looking good Scott. I'm not a heavy equipment mechanic either. I learn as i go. So I'll be watching and learning as you continue on this one. I'm looking for a skid steer project to buy and fix up. I need it for my garage driveway project then sell when I'm done. You have to have a reason beyond views for buying one of these... it can't be HOA friendly. 😂

    Fun watching you prepare to get it running....and I think it will fire up without too much trouble.......however....getting it running is quite different from trying to use it. I'm afraid if you try to actually use it, it will become a giant money pit.

    • @THEBULLETPROOFGARAGE
      @THEBULLETPROOFGARAGE  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep, it would need a little bit of everything to make it capable of pushing dirt again. But the old tractor deserves to be saved, so we'll see what happens... Thanks, Scott
