    Easy way to soak seeds.
    Hope this gets noticed, I see you starting plants/seeds. I have found a way to start seeds quickly, I take an egg tray that would hold 15 eggs (my IDOO has 12 basket holes, same as my MUFGA) and I take some domes and turn them upside down and place them in the egg tray to match where the seeds will be placed in the IDOO/MUFGA. I add a little water and start placing the seeds in the domes the same place as they will be in the IDOO/MUFGA, soak them for 6 hours and then place them in the sponges in the baskets where you want them to germinate. I have had seeds sprout in 2 days done this way. I hope this helps someone.

    I realize your Garden Cube does not come with the circular labels you can use to cover the top of the pod baskets. These are needed to help prevent algae from developing on the grow sponges. The mixture of water , light and plant nutrients is a breeding ground for algae so using the labels would help prevent the light from coming into the water.

    My dill plants are tilted over big time, with one of them touching the ground a tiny bit. Any idea why? My two theories were 1) they are at the sides of the gardencube so maybe they are growing too much towards the center where the light is or 2) I have it near the window, so maybe they are growing towards the actual sun. My two basil plants in the middle are growing straight up for now. It also seems too early to be able to stake them up. Thanks!

    • @MoondogReviews

      I add fertilizer ever 3-4 weeks. I haven't experienced a yellowing of the leaves that indicate they aren't getting enough water. I also add more water every 2 weeks or so. Thanks for making this video! Quick question for you: I am trying to grow multiple herbs (cilantro, parsley, basil, dill). Some of them have germinated, so I have removed the lids, but others have not. Is it okay to start adding the nutrients before the others germinate?

    • @MoondogIndustries
      @MoondogIndustries ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That should be fine. But be advised that growing mixed herbs is problematic. I found that the plants have drastically different growing rates. My tomatoes quickly overgrew my basil and choked off it's light. My basil ultimately failed. The cilantro kept up but barely. Don't be afraid to prune if the plants get too tall. Hope you subscribe.

      @@MoondogReviews this is true. I became busy and ignored my parsley a couple months ago. I just kept feeding water and once in a while taking a branch off to eat. It became a bush and nearly broke the machine when I finally took notice of what was going on in the corner of my kitchen. I had to basically pry it out, wiggling the giant root out from the hole in the base plate. It eventually came out, but it risked breaking the cover and killing the plant. I got it out in the garden now and it's doing ok. But hopefully won't do that again.
