The amount of nutes should be based on the water volume -- not the number of pods. All pods are consuming from the same dilution whether you have 1 pod or 15.
Very nice comparison. We have a lot of Aerogardens but we luckily picked them up on clearance or steep discount otherwise we wouldn't have them. This looks like a great alternative if we have to buy more. I do think our space can't handle anymore right now, but it is good to know for future expansion of the indoor winter garden.
I'm just starting my first garden with 10 plants, and I can already see that these things are addictive leading to more and more gardens! I would suggest that first-time buyers purchase the largest unit they can afford!
I feel like the fertilizer that came with the unit should've also been tested, just to see if the kit, without any additional outside help, does its job.
I have a ton of aerogardens, and a few off-brand units for testing. I admit that I never use those a b nutrients that come with them. They are confusing. I always stick to the AeroGarden nutrients.
I have the same exact unit except it's called Diivoo. You loaded up a lot of pods in there that really should not be mixed together. Too many pods. I will definitely be looking for your update on this. Also, that price on the Bounty Elite is ridiculous and not normal. They go as low as $200 during the holidays. $259 is the more usual good sale price.
Loved you insights! But I just heard Aerogarden is closing down. Seeing as they were the ones with a reliable brand (or at least we thought that!), customer support, etc, then what other brands do you suggest if I want that, but not a cheap unreliable knockoff. I'd like to keep growing many years into the future with the investment I make into the device.
Loads of options out there. If you're tired of the same solution and want something more reliable then go look for Click and grow gardens. So far they haven't disappointed
I’ll tell you what… besides the fact that there are 20 companies building the exact same thing as aerogarden, including aftermarket means little impact for those who want to stay with that platform. I will be however reviewing a newer style system like gardyn in the coming weeks
@@retrotechandelectronics We have 3 Aerogardens and 1 new Gardyn 4.0. So far the Gardyn is underwhelming and significantly overpriced, but we've only had it 3 weeks. Far too many of the accessories are not included in the unit. Hubby likes it, but my Bounty Elite germinates so much better/quickly!
@@kurulNan We almost purchased the new gardyn 4.0 but did not.... Four revisions later and they keep discussing how terrible the previous model was as a selling point. What will the 5 say about the 4
Which is funny as they still sell the seed pod kits. The prices have tanked for these so every fly by night is making them now A better one is now 80$ amzn.to/3qXy5Hz

Ahh you are correct. Though it does specify the amounts in the instructions
@@retrotechandelectronics ppm my dude ppm
Yes for the first few feedings but the number of plants will affect how quickly the nutrients are used

We will be moving both aerogardens, cross country this week, with the plants.....

@@B_Bodziakit's totally addictive to the point I have a 3 level NFT channel in a 4x8 grow tent in my apartment with 108 plants growing atm lol
@@B_Bodziakhow many plants did you keep when they got bigger?
In my experience 2-4 plants is the max useful capacity of each unit
Thanks for the great video! I would love to see a follow up when those peppers and eggplant start to show the veggies.
You're in Luck, a follow up is in the works
@@retrotechandelectronics Link?
With aerogarden bounty elite, you can turn the light on and off from the app and set the date and time automatically too.
Yep.
you can just buy a timer plug too
@blakespower yes and no, the problem is the pump needs to keep running
I bought one for 12 pods, price $49.99. Works great!...
Can you share link?

I didnt bother becuase I knew we were only going to use the aerogarden supplies, and never use that stuff again once the supplies were exhausted
Im new to this and im very curious about the " extra tank " of water and you've managed to answer alot of questions... Thanks a ton !!!
I am looking to buy one of these , thanks for your feedback and i loooveyour kale .they grew nicely lol
Best of luck!

They are 50% off now!
Aero on sale now for $130. How's your Diivoo holding up?
Let us know how the fruiting plants do with those lights
I’ll be following up
It looked like you had the grow light really high from the deck, it needs to be as close as possible at the start.
Thanks for the tip!
Would you mind telling me if the afflat units lights have the sunrise/ sunset feature the aerogarden has?
What are those water reservoirs you are using?
Thanks for sharing. Very informative and thorough. Ready to Ditch the Aero garden now.
Keep both…
Great!!! Where did you get the table it is on? Perfect size for the gardens. Thank You so Much!!!!
Its just a foldable TV tray
Wonderful!!!! Thank You!!! @@tamarasthornton
I'm about to invest in a systen, is there a way to get a longer telescopic stand for your light? I'm going to add extra lights on the outside as well
Hey did you find an answer for this ?
I don’t understand why you had to drill out the hole was it not functioning correctly ?
my 7 pod aerogarden died it was pretty old I think at least 10 years and looked at current aerogaden prices they are ridiculous
Did you get 10+ years out of the original set of lights?
do you have to use distilled water? stuff is mega expensive here
I use zerowater

good content. What is your opinion of it to date?
There is a follow up video.
how are the plants now?

Glad I could help
is that a NewYork accent?
It’s possible
I would suggest your seeds are an issue
You maybe right, we have had above average failure and reorders on this batch.
AFFLAT unit no longer available on Amazon.

Aerogarden does shut off/on at times you put in .
Is that the American price!? Because I pad twice that much for my Bounty Elite in Canada....
This was the American price at the time the video was produced
Very good video, thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Very informative, thank you!! ❤
You’re welcome.
With the bounty elite or basic can u change light schedule from 24hrs on to 12on12off??
Yes, you can set the custom on and off times to whatever you want on the bounty elite
Good job! thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Prices seems inflated even at 100+. Looks like something they can profit off even at $50
They are getting even cheaper as the market floods.
I just got a 12 pot for 20 bucks.
Always wanted one, but it is expensive
Not anymore...
I really appreciate this a lot. I was just wondering the same thing.
Glad to help!
It's $99 right now
Really, how about that. Sale?
Fire video bruh
Thanks!
Or buy one used! Most will sell for under $100.
Thats another good option.
It's more than 1/3 of the price. MATH.
More like 9/27 of the price
@@retrotechandelectronics Wrong again. 139/396 = 0.351. Why would you post an incorrect update? Weird!
