Absolutely crazy to me that Stan has more Grand Slams than Masters 1000 titles 😅
This....
Stan is an anomaly. People always talk about how is he is Novak’s kryptonite, because he is 4-5 against him in slams. Yet, outside of slams, he’s 2-16 against Novak. With most players it’s the opposite…he is certainly a very unusual player who at his peak was a nightmare for Djokovic (primarily because Novak’s play style) and 3x slam winner. Outside of those rare peaks, he wasn’t very good
He's a very inconsistent player
@@Mark-ut5oq“he wasn’t very good“ are you serious? He was 267 weeks in the top 10 players of the world.. 😅
Mentally not very strong, and inconsistent. He had spurts of consisitent quality which lined up at the 3 GS he won. Great to watch though.
First and only masters 1000. Still the Love he gets from the tennis fraternity is enormous. Because of that Rock solid Beautiful one handed backhand.
maybe winning 3 different GC helps also...
Absolutely but I was just putting emphasis on despite having won 3 slams he didn't had much Atp sucess something you don't normally see. His playing style is what makes him so famous among fans
@@grimar23
At his best Stan was incredible. His victory against Novak to win the French was one of the most mind boggling performances I’ve ever seen. Almost unplayable that day. So happy he won 3 slams and a masters. Extremely well deserved…oh and it helps when he wields the most devastating single handed backhand the game has ever seen! 👌
Two of the finest one handed backhands
Roger was smiling at the end: WHAT A CLASSY DUO!!
I remember this match clearly😢💔
roger beat novak in semi and nadal was defeated too and i though this's Rogers's golden opportunity to win the title for the first time ,he'd good chance to win but mentally collapsed after losing 2nd set tiebreak and monte-carlo cup once again eluded him like if he's destined not to win it just like Rome 💔
but we must give stan the credit cus he played great tennis to take down his countryman 🇨🇭
How can you not love Stan ❤
Saw someone request this in the comments the other day & here we are, all love to tennis TV if this is in response (& even if not!).
What memories
Dos de los mejores reveses a una mano de la historia. Federer colocación y Stan potencia.
I miss this era 😢
Man watching this one hander to one hander is a beauty
WE LOVE YOU STAN
Why did they change from that camera angle this year ? It was so much better back thé
Very nice to watch
What a great match, wonderful tennis of both players.
Love watching this matchup
Two legend
It’s crazy to think that quite a few guys now have multiple masters titles; Alcaraz, Zverev, Medvedev, to name a few. Yet in this era, great players like Wawrinka and Del Potro often ended their career with at most one masters title. Goes to show how dominant the big 3 were.
Good old days..😢
He had the fire
What a wonderful match. Beautiful tennis. Both are gentlemen on and off court.
I love Stan but i wouldn’t call him a gentleman. His personality looks like Medvedev sometimes
Will we ever see 2 SHBH compete for a master/slam title again?
I hope so. Grigor and Tsitsipas coming soon.
First, as in only? Dude only got to 3 more Masters finals.
5:13 That was OUT ahahah
4:48 rare occasion to see Federer publicly disappointed!
Such a shame a player as talented as Wawrinka has only one Masters 1000
Also a shame that Federer never won Monte Carlo or Rome despite being a top 5 clay court player in the open era. Without Nadal he'd have at least 4-5 Roland Garros.
The only man who could dismantle a top form Djokovic
Fed's only chance to win Monte Carlo and imo he choked it a bit. Full credit to stanimal tho. Amazing shot-making in full display!
It's a shame sometimes in tennis where you're clearly the better player for 2 sets but then it goes to a tie-breaker and it's anyone's game really.
@@GF-hg7op It is a shame, but if you can't keep your level in the most important moments, you don't deserve to win. Not to mention Stan missed a lot of easy putaways this match as well, an example would be the breakpoint when he was 2-1 up in the first.
From what I watched, Federer's boseline shots were less deep than his early days, esp. in 14, 15, 16, mostly just landed pass serve line. One of the reasons that he couldn't compete with Nadal and DJ during those years?
Has Stanimal been truly lean at any point of his career?
Find a photo of him shirtless. He’s lean mate.
Crazy that Federer never won Monte Carlo
Milyen látványos meccs! De semmi ökölrázás, melldöngetés, tették szerényen a dolgukat. A mostaniak tanulhatnának tőlük.
Haha corona like it was written in the stars…
Ah miss those days back when tennis was high level and not players like casper ruud reaching grand slam finals
Crying baby
@@MistahhMingushe has a point
@@woogy1223 no he doesn’t he’s jjst cherry-picking a player he doesn’t like and applying it to a larger issue concerning the entire sport when it’s just his opinion
@@woogy1223 My man gets it , Imagine med was number one in the world LOL & Alcaraz at twenty already was wiping the floor with this gen apart from sinner now who somewhat raised his game , Yet is still not even as good as berdych these players would be happy to be in the top eight back then
@@rockleepowerofyouth i wouldnt go that far i think sinner and medvedev is definetily better than berdych
5:14 clean out
I think it's time for you to consider wearing some glasses.
@@pkd19
slow down the video to 0.25 and watch carefully, if necessary quickly pause the video to slow it down further and if you look closely you will see that it is out
@@ZobzZ1its the angle, stop being silly
It's in. The camera angle is misleading.
If Federer made that shot at 2:00 his fans will ride him non-stop.
He did that plenty of times what are you even trying to do there lil bro?
@@tennisdebunklil sis mad?
@@NamTran-xc2ip nope lil neuron
Federer salty as usual after loss
What do you mean? He gave Stan a warm embrace at the net
10:57
If this's what a salty means then i'm happy roger was salty 😊
he wasnt salty at all lol
Not everyone gets to be a loser everyday. Unlike you. Even then Federer literally was smiling lmao.
You’re a delusional Djokovic or Nadal fanboy or Federer hater now get out of
🫶🏽 * 2
This is Federer's best chance to wins his first monte-carlo masters and he failed 🥲
Insane that this was 10 yrs ago
