185) Family Hike & Camp at Silent Lake!

Throwback Thursday!
This is a video from Saturday, September 9th and Sunday, 10th, 2023, that I never published. On a beautiful sunny weekend, my 77-year-old father joins me to hike the 15-kilometre Lakeshore Trail at Silent Lake Provincial Park. (Also see video #162 for my dad’s first backpacking trip!) After the hike, my brother and niece meet up with us, too, and the four of us camp in ideal late summer camping weather. In the morning, I break out my Alpacka raft. I missed my Alpacka raft this summer and thought about it often while away hiking in France. It felt great to get out on the lake in it and enjoy some serene water sounds and stunning sites.
