Tyler did a very thorough inspection. Great job.
Obviously you take a lot of pride in your work. The company is lucky to have such a conscientious employee enthusiastically helping to keep your drivers safe. Well done!
The shop at the company I work for could learn a lot from this video. Their method is currently as follows: "Is it on fire? No? Keep driving it... Why are you still here?"
haha
Excellent professionalism. Keep it up!!!
Great video bro years later nice
Very impressed with his attention to detail. Great to see this.
Congratulations Tyler, good job!!!
Tyler did a great job explaining the PM process. It was very interesting. Great video!
Bro this was a dope video
Only thing I'd add is that you should always make sure you have the filters you need PRIOR to starting the PM. Seems like ya'll have a well run parts room but theres nothing worse than stabbing the filter then finding out you're out of LF14000s and it's 1:45 am going into the weekend XD Nice video!
Great job
Hi Tyler I'm also a mechanic. Great job 👏
Every driver should know how to do this. As far as leaks you should be looking for evidence of a leak not the leak itself as you won't see it unless the truck is working hard under a load. It takes a much brighter light abd closer inspection of pin holes. No fluids should need replacing unless there is an issue. A lot of techs that have never been through a 2-4 year mechanic program are not knowledgeable in things like cavitation. A thorough inspection takes atleast 30-45 min. Look for loose, bent, broken or missing. Every item needs to be checked and every year or two depending on conditions need proper torque. Be careful and take your time. Don't beat up or stop a part by being abrupt. Use penetration oil to loosen and one or two taps not 5-10 wack!
Other than a few things not bad. Always use a rag to keep the filter or parts clean and easy to turn. Hand tight is sufficient but a wrench for long life severe service might be OK if you don't have any hand strength. Keep going to school and learn from old time drivers.
Dude you rock!! I knew I was gonna learn lots off stuff from this video
This was a great video! Thank you for the knowledge, Gave me a good understanding of what i should expect with a PM.
This kid knows his shit that’s for sure. He sounds like a damn good pm tech if you ask me
Very similar but very useful, especially for someone transferring from passenger to semi pm work. Thanks and great job.
This also the same kind of inspection that applicants for a new CDL must be able to do. Experienced drivers should do an inspection like this one at least once a week and a good walk around inspection every single day.
Excellent job man 😎
Great job mate…really knowledgeable video, thanks for sharing 👍

Kindly help with these questions.
1. How long does preventive maintenance take. i.e , what's the duration for the service example; 45mins, 1hr, 3hrs, 4hrs? etc..
2). How much do you charge for labour?
Example: charge for the entire duration or per hour?
3). What's the capacity of your workshop? How many trucks do you service in a day between 8am - 5pm daily?
excellent video
Thats cool amigos !

Does Tyler have his own channel?! I’d love to watch his content this was a great video.
i wanna know how this man turned out.. he seemed so knowledgeable
Aye man I can gladly say that my company is switching over to straight Volvos , those Kenworth/ Pete’s have been having WAYY too much electrical issues (cable related) I’m sure you’ve experienced a lot of headaches in the tail end of those things ( I’m guessing it’s the poor quality of the wire harnesses)
Seems like a good kid
nice vidoe whats the cos for pm on freightliner cascadia?
Hello young man do you have your own shop yet? In need of trustworthy mechanic.
Thank you for sharing
🙏🙏🙏
💯👍
What is the complete preventive maintenance checks?
Periodic Maintenance Service
Where can you go to a mechanic you can trust?
Hello
You are in canada?
What bout greasing the truck
what oil?
More Cowbell
Rotella?
You said oil change every 25,000 miles?
25,000 miles isn’t a lot for a semi since they’re pretty much constantly driving.
Don’t forget to look at the inner facing side of the tires for gashes or cuts that might occur. Also greasing is very important.
Ben looks so bored that he is curling his hair. Show more interest man! Lol!
DURRRRR
Trucker Jim looks different
How a skinny kid like that work on these big trucks? G&P pay this man more so he can afford to bulk up
Lmaooo why the hate ?? People really be on some hating as shit for no reason let the man be
@@ernie305g9 don't mind people hating for no reason
25000 miles using 10W30....that needs to be about 15000 miles & the oil needs to be 15W40 (truck oil)
Glad he isn't working on my baby !!!!!
