Needed to see how you hooked up your ground...but it was hidden. Mine is not working for some reason, and the ring instructions said something about hooking it to the green ground...but it didn’t come with any extra wires. Didn’t look like you needed to ground to your plate...
It’s great! We keep finding more things we can do with the echo show. The routines you can create to trigger alerts or automatically show on motion are very helpful. I will say that the service with the Ring subscription is much better than no subscription. We noticed a lot of the camera features (like motion zones and recordings) don’t exist without the subscription. That’s my only really concern with it. I really appreciate the comment.
@@BrickBuildingKids we have the monitored alarm and I highly recommend it since you get more out of it and $10 bucks a month is a great price. I ditched safetouch and don't regret it. We have all the alerts set up on the echo 8 and echo dots . I really love the customizations options especially when the door for example is open and I can make it say whatever I want on the echos.
I have two questions I’m hoping you can help with. 1. Can you change the bulbs if they burn out? 2. Can you still turn it off and on from your light switch? Thanks so much for doing this!
Hi! No. The bulbs can’t be replaced based on what I know. They are supposed to last for 10+ years. They can be super bright. The light needs power on all the time so from a light switch isn’t really a good solution because it wouldn’t catch motion if turned off. The app is super easy to turn the lights on and off. What if I don’t have a setup for a floodlight outside my home?? Can I still have it mounted and the wires fed through the garage to connect to the outlet in there on the ceiling??
Great video. I recently bought two stick up cams and doorbell 3 plus. I am loving the cameras. I have two Wyze cams they are okay, the ring products are 100% quality in performance.
If there is power there and wifi, it should have no issues at all. I would just make sure the switch to the power (if there is one) is always turned on.
i want to place this in an outbuilding, but the only internet there is a eternal cable that is connected from the main house all the way back to the outbuilding . Would it still work ?
I would probably just get a wifi router and add it inside the outbuilding plugged into the Ethernet and connect the flood light to the router. These you can only connect to wifi.
Question: Can the floodlights be adjusted to shine more to the sides or are they limited to where they can point? I know there's an "up/down" adjustment, but I can't find anything about side-to-side. Thanks!

Rings never answers their phone in a timely manner.i ordered 4 cameras from Home Depot,and after two days trying to get them to work like they should and four hours on hold ,called five times I’m taking them back for a refund.also I found out lots of other people having same problem
I love these videos but I can’t find one I can benefit from. I live in a older home and don’t have a garage so I’m praying it can be installed where I want it 😫😫😫
If you're Canadian, DO NOT BUY!!! Not only is Ring NOT compatible with Google home, which I found out after I sunk money into 2 Ring Video Spotlights, their subscription plans are different too! They are more expensive for every country outside of the US. And NO where on the website do they mention that the pricing is only valid for US customers only!!! Good technology, but they keep on nickeling and diming you. Stay far away from Ring, unless you have $$$ to shell out. They wanted me to pay $100 for 2 cameras per year. Hahahaha!

Hey. I didn’t ground mine to the plate, there was a ground wire with the white and black. I just connected the green to the ground.
i have to get wireless flood lights cuz my house dont have flood lights already. Right?

You may want to remove the screen protector used for shipping. Pull the little blue tab on the bottom of the camera.

Best trick is to rename your new wifi network to the old name. If you can’t do that, find the barcode and get the device back in setup mode.

Hi! Yeah, they were pretty versatile on rotating positions up and down and side to side.
