Watched the video a second time through and gained even more valuable information! Being well into my senior years I have really hurt my right shoulder trying to charge the S2000 by pulling back on the charging handle with my right arm. I now know to use my left arm to PUSH it back. Much better! Thank you sir! Guess I’m not the brightest bulb on the thee, as this is so much better.
Excellent video, you just showed me that I was making everything overly complicated to the point I gave up to find a video like yours. Tomorrow morning I will finish it up. Thank you and well done
Superb video Sean. Very helpful and straight forward. Appreciate your attention to detail and the time you put into your instructional videos. Makes things so much more possible for the novice. Thanks for your time and effort.
thanks for checking out my channel! i do appreciate it. i learned many things from channels like Sootch00, MAC, Hickok45, iraqveteran8888, mrgunsandgear, twangnbang, and so many others and i feel we should all do similar in putting out what you have found and see if you can help others.
Thank you very much for this excellent video, it is very informative. Where the manual is good I still had some questions that you answered in an easy to understand way. Keep them coming!
Great video! I watch this before disassembling my Gen 2 and while there are other good videos on subject out there what sets apart this video from rest is your attend to detail. It took away the intimidation factor of doing my very first field strip. I knew exactly what I was doing and why and the best part I had no problem reassembling after a good cleaning. Very informative!
This was helpful... the dealer put my sub2000 in an SU16c box....with an SU16 owner's manual.... no help at all. I needed to adjust the LOP and you got me through it....Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I wasn't sure if it had to be cocked or not. I kno the manual says to cock it but I just watched another video and the guy didn't cock it. You cleared that up for me.
Thanks for posting this great video. I just disassembled/ reassembled my new sub 2k for the 1st time. Placing the gun muzzle on the floor to relpace the stock pin is so much easier. I found your video to be very helpful. Thanks again.
Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you ! for mentioning using the screw driver to recock the hammer!! I also made that mistake and was not looking forward to taking the gun apart! Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !
Misery loves company...lol, lol! After I did reread the manual and then cursed at myself..... sat and thought a bit and used an extended length flat head to recock the weapon. So glad it helped!
Your other comment hit's my notification but doesn't show up here under the video for some reason....... But for your issue, fold the rifle in half and using a long screwdriver (is what i used but a round piece of stock, etc. just something solid/rigid and about 8 inches or longer would do) force the hammer back until it cocks and locks to the rear. I took an old t shirt to wrap around the screwdriver to not scratch the internals but a piece of heat shrink tubing or a jumbo straw, etc. would do the same thing. hope this helps!
Thank you! I plan to take my new Sub 2K apart tomorrow morning and this is a very nice explanation of the process. Like to see some videos of you shooting the weapon.
Thanks for the video. Very nice. I just got the Gen 3 and I just can’t seem to fully take out the pin to adjust the stock. It comes out halfway and then nothing. Do I need to twist the pin around to see if it aligns to come out? Any other suggestions? Thanks very much.
Nice video. Toughest part for me is removal of the stock pin. Mine just does not come out easily. Almost need a little tool to make it easier. Your video is very helpful though.
understand. try placing the barrel on the deck and push in just a bit on the end plug that should relieve the spring tension enough to get the pin out.
+Sean 24986 Thanks. Maybe it's me but mine is a little tight and hard to push out. I actually use a brass punch to help. I guess each are a little different.
Really enjoyed your video! Was just looking to see how to extend the butt from the factory length to the longest notch but this pretty much covered it do I need to take everything out or can I just pop out my catch and move the pin or do I need to do anything else if anyone knows. Thanks a lot for reading & responding 🤙🏼
Awesome video. I just bought one this afternoon. If I want to just extend the butt to see which position feels more comfortable, I can just take out the spring and that back piece and adjust the butt/stock, right?
+Jean-Philippe Fleury yes sir....actually had an issue i needed to share with everyone about the front sight post so did both in one video! th-cam.com/video/BKcEX25TcLc/w-d-xo.html
Thanks good video! I have a hard time putting back the bolt I watched the video on keltec re assembly but still I need to push it with a wooden stick to go back. Anyone explanation why? Btw the the safe of is on and didn’t pulled the trigger.
+dreemwizard That would be a great option that would easily blend into the environment for sure! I will probably go that route myself. At the moment I'm using a simple, plain drawstring nylon bag like the kids use as I had one laying around all ready but as you said, I've been thinking about a laptop bag myself! Thanks for watching and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
glad it helped! i of course, did the same thing and i did panic then i remembered the manual and said to myself, you moron, you did just what the book said not to do...the only damned thing the book said not to do and you did it....after thinking through, that was my solution and a learned lesson! lol lol lol yeah, don't do that!
does anyone make a lightweight bolt for the sub 2000... Like i dont get why they made the bold so heavy however didn't reinforce the frame where it folds together....
Teru, i'm sorry that i forgot to answer your other question. now this is my opinion and hasn't been confirmed by anyone but with the rifle being a simple blow back operation, i would guess that the bold carrier needs to be heavy enough to keep the breech "sealed" for lack of better term long enough for the round to get out of the barrel (especially as it's a legal 16" barrel and not an sbr) before the case ejection part of the firing cycle happens. there is no locking lugs or anything like that on this rifle to keep the breech locked during the initial firing cycle stage where the bullet is traveling down the barrel and out. again, this is just my opinion. hope that helps! thanks for checking out my channel.
Nice job, really appreciate you taking the time to make this video especially for new 2000 owners. Thanks!
Just got mine and it seems so complicated compared to Other Firearms But I Like it

Thanks for the great, easy to understand video. I am considering buying this fire arm because it’s compatible with Glock 17 magazines.
it's a very fun firearm indeed!

+Brian Tran your very welcome sir! thanks for checking out my channel
This is outstanding information, thanks so much for the tutorial!
glad you found it helpful! thanks for checking out the channel!
Excellent video. One question. How far to have to disassemble it to just change the length of pull?
Great video; thank you for taking the time to put this together. :)
Thanks for doing the video! I just bought one of these and it was very helpful!
+dreemwizard your very welcome and thanks for checking my channel out!

Hey Shawn...can you please make a front sight adjustment video....I did looked and couldn't find one on You Tube...
+Jean-Philippe Fleury yes sir....actually had an issue i needed to share with everyone about the front sight post so did both in one video!
th-cam.com/video/BKcEX25TcLc/w-d-xo.html
Just brought one ! Very informative ( Nice and Simple ), Great Video
so I can adjust the stock by moving that pin and sliding it down?
Thanks good video! I have a hard time putting back the bolt I watched the video on keltec re assembly but still I need to push it with a wooden stick to go back. Anyone explanation why? Btw the the safe of is on and didn’t pulled the trigger.

+Jean-Philippe Fleury thanks for watching, i appreciate it!
Awesome video. I like your channel.
Just curious what kind of case you have for yours. I've considered just a generic laptop bag.
+dreemwizard That would be a great option that would easily blend into the environment for sure! I will probably go that route myself. Will the Sub 2000 still fully fold with the stock extended to the third hole?
Yes, it closed easily
Very helpful!
does anyone make a lightweight bolt for the sub 2000... Like i dont get why they made the bold so heavy however didn't reinforce the frame where it folds together....
Teru Mikami I have not seen any bolt options for the sub2000. sorry, no help on that front.
