Gimmick Puppet might be a deck to watch out for.
as someone who plays it i don’t think so apart from maybe at locals the ftk only actually goes off about 60% of the time if the player is any good

@@stereotypicalemousername9507 60% for a FTK is already veeeeery high. most FTKs are (pun intended) gimmicks 😂 but this one is ironically quite consistent and the deck itself isn't a one trick pony. but I agree that it's power may not exceed some level like regional tops

Makina,trap,draws and handtraps with good follow up is good enough if the ftk doesnt go through.

@@MSTTVi think all 3 (madolce, drytron, momento) could easily be in that spot but madolche can also play shifter and is immune to bystials. Loses hard to nib though.
@@adambrock4639 Isn't that what Fiendsmith is for? Puts Caesar (a.k.a. Nib immunity) into every deck.

@@togder it didn’t fit the top 16 decks for me.
Reason:
1. Most people that play it do not not how to bring out their full power.
2. It’s great vs snake eyes, has a really bad time vs rogue.
3. You are free to play it but crows, bystials etc make it a rough time game 2,3 post side. Based on what we saw even on feature and back up feature, that deck gets your hopes up game 1, and becomes a struggle 2,3.
4. Is it the deck? Or the player? I respect the player and I want to see it do well.
I think for a playoff deck, it will be a solid choice because I doubt the people going in there will b deferring from Snake eyes.

About Fiendsmith in Snakes, you missed the point in my opinion. They directly replace the Kash package, and potentially "One for One" (was in the finals useless on Leblanc's hand) and Jet in order to keep the exact same ratio of Engine/Nonengine, then they offer 3 alternatives:
- Early Apo (just like Kash and Draccosak) without using your normal summon or requiring Diabelstar, then you perform your normal combo
- Early Ceasar in case you have Crossout in hand to safely perform your normal combo, while having protection from Nib and a powerful interruption
- In case of brick, make Beatrice and get your full Snake Eye combo instead of an IP (into SP) pass, or Apollo pass, or Fenrir pass that would otherwise be your options.
On top of that, the engine can infinitely grind by shuffling the extra deck monsters, so at the cost of 1 extra deck slot you can also have Irae as an omni negate (imo this is better than Caesar in snakes since it's untargetable and offers removal similar to Promethean) making your board extremely hard to crack. TTTalent take Caesar cooks IP and Promethean for example.
Tenpai can play Fiendsmiths as well. They offer removal/protection, don't clash by taking the normal summon, allow plays for Chaos Angel (chundra + fiendsmith) and even unbrick the deck the same way by Beatrice + Sequentia going for Promethean.
My favorite (although extremely gimmick) is using the new Tenpai trap + 1 Rollback instead of the "Heatwave" bs or Necrovalley wombo combo, Seals + Beatrice can turn skip both opponent's MP1 and MP2
Yubel would be better without the Link 2 making Fiendsmiths accessible to every deck. While it makes every engine float to each other (the only way for Unchained/Sacred Beast bodies to reach Yubel is either through Beatrice or Summon Sorc), Caesar can be a huge pain to deal with, same with Irae.
So hot take, Yubel is at its best currently (Phantom legal) and requires a Snake hit to be tier 1 post-info. With a Snake hard hit (like banning Flam) + Closed Sky, it has the potential to replace Snakes as the dominant deck of the format.
Chimera is probably underrated because piloting it is difficult, yes.
Also excited how Fire Kings would cook after new support.

What’s important is none of these decks at all had the mention of that new muchummy hand trap. The little squid. I think that card will definitely be main decked or sided in a lot of cases

new generic link 2 called top hat hare lets you set any continuous trap that specials itself as a monster. You use the link 2 for the statue which is a summonn negate

Question, is “Double Iris Magician”, an applicable material for “Soul of the Supreme Celestial King”, to use for the summoning of Z-arc. I was under the impression it was (I even had judges at my locals confirm it was a correct material) but on master duel it’s not, so what is the correct answer
Wth Double iris magician doesn't have 2500 atk... of course its not an applicable (it also isn’t a dragon for zarc lmao). But the conditional effect should still work if you have a banished double iris, ie zarc wouldn’t be negated.
Double iris magician is treated as a "Pendulum Dragon" card in name.
Not in type. So its typing isnt gonna match the material needed for Z-ARC

On a serious note i hope it does NOT come out before 1 (but even better 2) banlists because it will prolong the Snake Tier 0 meta. Fiendsmith as an engine is already tier 0, it would just have a tier 0 deck as home.
However I fear this is great cash-in opportunity, and bumping Closed Sky to Secret Rare (it would be ridiculous to make it exclusive QCSR) will make it reach SP level of price-tag

It’s strong but I really am not sure, i feel like a Purrely player needs to play at their peak to compete like Dign Khang Pham, matchups awareness is key.

Tier 3/rogue at the moment, it's competent now but hasn't been performing in the ocg, we'll have to see how good it is here.

If the deck can be kept unknown for bit longer (it's not, unfortunately) maybe it can even steal some more wins in Post-BoL/INFO.
@@SthfiarStefani Personally, I feel Melodious has got a ton of potential. It feels like one of those decks where people are still trying to find optimal combinations / ratios for hand traps and engine. Plus it’s a deck that’s easy to play but difficult to play optimally cause of all the variations. I think it’s got a fair shot at doing well, especially if the next banlist hits snake eyes.
Melodious. The deck that disappointed. It’s great in a pool of snake eyes, but put it in a kiddie pool of rogue it gets annoyed of how the opponent isn’t snake eyes, and struggles in game 2,3.
Melodious better get that good match up path or lose to random stuff that by pass or droplets their board with a clean otk. That’s the Behind the scenes when we pick Melodious players for feature.
@@MSTTV i was wondering if any player had "Melodious Illusion" as a spicy anti-droplet/drnm tech for the side. In theory (I just started messing with the deck) Etoile with Bacha and Bagooska can be really rough for most decks.
Also due to the ease of rank4 toolbox I was very surprised Dweller wasn't more relevant.

Are you allergic to using the words “card advantage”?
“The sheer interaction of the Branded deck…” only mentions Mirrorjade before mentioning card advantage engine
“Card advantage” will only be used if it can generate actually card advantage.
If we talking burying the opponent in card advantage like sheer number or hand rip, like dark world or resolving ostinato sure end with a +7.
Positional advantage, one card combo and tempo seems relevant for modern yugioh.

Its really impressive how cheap Voiceless Voice kind of is. Unless I'm forgetting something the most exppensive card is Lo and its like 30 dollars? Thats pretty cheap for a strong and pretty new meta deck.

Konami making new decks live 3 days before nationals is so uncompetitive. There is a reason the fgc community bans newly released characters if they drop right before big events. It isn’t fair to those who do not have the information or cannot practice against the new stuff in such a short time span.stuff like this makes me not want to play the game
meanwhile my P.U.N.K. Kashtira deck been doing pretty well against most of the decks mentioned. Amazing dragon is truly amazing + psychic end punisher ends with 9500 atk first turn if opponent doesn't drop any LPs and the right cards come along, plus amazing dragon boosted too 3600 atk with 2 attacks 🙂
Just a reminder since you've had this misunderstanding before, Kash players play combo Kash 10x more than Kash stun (I've never seen a stun list, much less one that topped)
