I like the off set rudder on the miss geico but are the battery trays still just epoxied in? Because the one I got now I will Reggie them in every time after it runs in rough water.
id like to see another version of the shockwave 26 V1 with the steerable propeller assembly , seems to turn a lot better than the newer straight prop with separate rudder
+Sm1 Sm1 Good morning. My bad. I for some reason thought that the Miss Geico had the 1800kv in it still. I love the Miss Geico color sceme, but have always liked the Blackjack as well. Have a Great day.
Can the esc in the Miss Geico handle a Leopard 4082, 2200 kv motor? I have installed a Seaking 180 amp speed control along with a Leopard 4082 size 2200 kv motor which puts out 4.67 hp. I am using an Octura X645 prop. in my V1 Miss Geico 29. Needless to say it goes well over 80 mph. with that setup. I did however find the hull to be flimsy and had to replace it several times due to multiple blow overs. Blow overs are just the nature of the beast at those speeds, even when the boat is well dialed in. All this to let you know what my intentions are. Will a 4082 motor with the water jacket fit in the V3 and is there room for a larger ESC? What is the watt output of the motor in the MG V3? Would I be able to run a 4082 3500 watt 2200 kv motor with an Octuta X645 prop without burning out the stock ESC, or would I have to completely gut it like I did with my MG V1? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Get paid to much to know so little ? I run a Mystic,a Geico and a Stiletto and made upgrades on all to make them , Get -er-done my way. Lets go racin Boys!!
Toby Lewis, why you need to read from a notepad? You are the brand manager??? really? How well do you know your products? you inspire me no credibility whatsoever. Why don't you let the guy at the warehouse that really came out with the new ideas talk? On the other hand Rafael Lopez doesn't even have a notepad and grabs the boat and explain in a concise manner, well job Mr Lopez and sincere comments regarding decals and tape usage. Toby just let Mr lopez talk, you can get him some water or something...
I have all versions of theses boats and the new hull designs are nice but the 120 esc's and new 2000kv motors are really over rated.and weak, Really disappointed with the motors.Don't even think about trying bigger props, you'll cook the motor or at least put it into thermal overload .weak magnets compared to older styles.I sell these for a living so it's a shame they went with cheap china made electronics.
Thunder Tiger Olympian has superior 180 amp esc and cooling system in opinion. Its only weakness is the plastic body compared to the fibre glass in the Pro boats.

I'm sorry but I hate the offset rudder.
