I really appreciate your construction technique for the pockets - clear, practical and easy. I have made a few of your patterns and they are really good, especially my Husband’s new favourite cargo shorts! The fabric choices you have used for this video are stunning. ❤❤❤ from NZ.
Would love to see a quick clip of how you handle that fly front under the overlocker. I’ve been using an overlocker for many many years but those inner angles are still a challenge 😊
Definitely not for a beginner or even an intermediate sewist. Beautifully stitched, but this sewist is, without a doubt, extremely experienced. A bit more hand holding and a slower pace would be helpful. This is not a simple pattern. Regards Sally
I think if I manage my pieces like this I can do it and not get confused! Brilliant! 💙
Sounds good. A little bit of confusion is part of a steep learning curve 🙂

Thank you 💓
Love the look of these
Glad you like them 🙂

You stretch the edge straight and serge right over the curved areas.
@@Wardrobebyme hmm yes I usually do that but always manage to serge off the edge of that inside point under the fly facing. Thanks.
@@Originallyadressmaker then zigzag in stead 😊
@@Wardrobebyme haha no thanks, will just keep trying. I’ve been using an overlocker for over 30 years, I’m not stopping now lol.

Pants are never easy!
my welt pocket bag and lining pieces align much closer to the waistband than shown here. What could I be doing wrong?
They align with the bottom of the darts. Is that the case for you?
When you serge the edges before sewing , aren't you cutting away at the seam allowance?
Not if you serge the edge without cutting anything off.
The waistband here is curved but the pattern is straight- did I miss something?
We are sewing the women's version of the pattern where the waistband is curved, but all the techniques are the same
The fabric is beautiful! What is it/where is it from?
