I was stumped by the complexity of the pattern instructions for the waistband. Thank you for showing a much easier way to insert the elastic. I also didn't know about top stitching over the elastic. Brilliant!
Absolutely brilliant! I have sat through two other pretty good Bob tutorials but this one does it for me! So easy re the waistband. I will get the pattern now. I have some heavy linen French vintage sheets, may look good in this pattern !
First pair of pants and this tutorial was invaluable! I made some mistakes but that was my error...somehow managed to get the legs the same rather than mirrors of each other but just did some unpicking. Thanks for the video x
So glad I found your video, very informative and my Bob Pants are complete! The only thing I have found is I have too much fabric at the front particularly when I sit down so I'm hoping if I size down this might help although they fit well every where else 😊
Hi! The brown tank is a hack of an Ellie and Mac pattern. I made the romper pattern as a stand alone top by adding a 4" band at the bottom of the bodice. www.ellieandmac.com/products/adults-south-shore-romper-pattern?aff=3086

💕 thank for watching! Hope you achieve the fit you’re aiming for - I wonder if reducing the center front/rise will take away some poof there 🤔
@@Sew-Happy that had crossed my mind to try.
wonderful helpful video. I am curious with the understitching on the pockets. Should this not be done on the front pockets only?
The pattern calls for it to be done to all 4 pocket pieces. This keeps that pocket opening smooth and flat and both sides.
Thank you! Could I ask what the top is you are wearing at the end of the video with the Bob pant? The knit v-neck wrap top without sleeves.

Hi. Do you think this pattern will work for knits?
I believe it would work just fine with a stable knit, such as French terry, pointe, etc…
@@Sew-Happy Thank you!
Where di you get the actual paper patter from? Thanks
These are the Bob Pants by Style Arc. I've linked them in the description box of video. 🎉
My Sabobpants pattern doesn’t have a separate waistband piece. It’s just fold over…?
Hi - there is a waistband piece included with the pattern. 🎉
I prefer no pockets
Sometimes I do, too - less bulk.
@@Sew-Happy do you wear them year round?
@karenperrealt3520 these are a heavier weight linen, so better for fall/winter, but a lighter fabric is great year round
