    Do the staff tell you details about the bag you intend to purchase, like say, when and where purchased? Nice video, by the way.

    • @winniey3407

      Thanks, they will tell you if they have the information 😊 but it’s rare because they usually don’t buy the bags directly from customers; instead, they have a centralised collection and authentication department or supplier.

    Looove your vids gorgeous. Those Dior earings your wearing are soo beautiful.. The more vids of yours i watch the more I want to be in japan and get away from our joke of a president/government..ughhh I use to work in chanel boutique and id have some AMAAAZING clients from Japan and they would tell me all about how serious theyr handbags are taken there and i always found it sooo fascinating. The one client told me about "Brand off" & ive personally ordered several bags from them off ebay and omg THEY NEVER DISAPOINT!.. I absolutly loove them and I CANT WAIT TO GO THERE IN PERSON..😍😍😍💝💝💝💝 Hermes is MY FAV. BRAND! Theyr expensive but worth every cent!. I have a Kelly bag that was my great grandmas and passed down to me. I have boughten 2 birkins on my own since recieving the Kelly bag and theyr just such fabulous evryday bags! You dont really have to baby them as much as chanel bags. Esp. Lambskin chanels.. My kelly was literally made in the 50s and is still in phenomal condition..! I dont carry it just cosa sentimental value and i want to pass it down too in just as good of condition as i recieved it...😉 Also I looved the lemon charm you got.. Soo adorable!.. Great pick..😉 Hermes quality is the best quality in my honest opion. Theyr leathers are soo amaazzing and even my birkin thats over 5years old still looks almost like i got it yestrday. The only dings are the feet. Hence why i started putting thin layer of clear tape over the feets..

    Hi Winnie, thanks for sharing. Would you also recommend some similar shops in Tokyo? I'm going to Japan next month and would like to get a second hand Birkin 40 (for guys). Is it rare to see that size in Japan? It seems like most of them are 30 and 35. Also, what price do you think is reasonable for a togo 40 in dark color in relatively good condition? Thanks again!

    • @winniey3407
      @winniey3407  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +sunjh2004 Yes, I would. Those are big preloved handbag chain stores 😊 I didn't see any B40 this time - they are quite rare in Japan. I would say a B40 in good condition should be around US$10,000 - $12,000. Have fun in Japan ☺️

    If my conversions are right, you can get Hermes products very decently priced in Osaka compared to America. Definitely something to think about.

    • @winniey3407
      @winniey3407  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +LittleSongBirdTales It also has to do with currency conversion. If your currency is strong, then your will find their prices more reasonable 😊

    How can you make sure these items are authentic?

    • @imfeitastic
      @imfeitastic 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Aline Moreira consignment stores normally go through authentication before accepting. But I've heard in Japan, selling and buying fake is against the law.

    • @tingeling5663
      @tingeling5663 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Buying and selling counterfeit is against the law in all countries so this is unfortunately no garanti they are authentic :( The problem is that fakes are so good now sometimes even Hermes can't tell the difference before they have the bag at their workshop and takes it apart. It's crazy!

    • @winniey3407
      @winniey3407  7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      +Aline Moreira Hi, Aline 😊 The shops guarantee authenticity of their bags. But I don't think that is enough. So I always study the bags closely before buying them. I only buy from reputable sellers and it is important to know enough about the bags before buying preloved. There are always risks; therefore, I never help anybody authentic bags or 'teach' people how to do it. I can only be responsible for my own purchasing decisions - not others'. ☺️

    That was a cool video. Makes me want to travel to Japan and buy pre loved HERMÉS. What are the chances of any of the HERMÉS items are not real when buying pre loved in Japan?

    • @winniey3407
      @winniey3407  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +gix2lee Thanks, dear. 😊 There is always a chance even thought it is against the law to sell fakes. Therefore, I always study the bags very carefully before buying and I never help people authenticate bags or 'teach' them how to do it. I can only be responsible for my own purchasing decisions - not others'. 😅

    • @samimotag
      @samimotag 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      gix2lee the only way to know is real is to buy it directly from Hermes. In the US, where I live, Sam's Club was sued by Fendi for accidentally selling fake Fendi. Google it and see for yourself.

    • @angelinadines7561
      @angelinadines7561 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      gix2lee japanesse don't sell fake bag. Thats their law and philosophy in life. They are very honest to their costumers and they dont lie for living. Their philosophy in life is honesty.

    • @neiritanuki2072
      @neiritanuki2072 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s rarely fake in physical shops. Japanese law is very strict...

    • @neiritanuki2072
      @neiritanuki2072 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Btw if u ever feel something wrong, you can always bring to another shop to check for the authenticity. If fake (unlikely), you should be able to get a full refund or the shop will be in a big trouble.

    I recognise Brand Off from E bay. My concern would be a lot of items from Japan I here, come with a musty smell, possibly due to how they are stored and the humidity. It would put me off buying and they do seem really expensive. I wonder how you can be sure they are not super fakes with the amount of second hand shops and amount of vintage bags there are for sale. Great to see them though.

    • @winniey3407
      @winniey3407  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Tarababe1000 You are right. I got my blue Birkin from a Japanese eBay store and it smelled terrible. I had to wash the dust bag and place the bag next to the windows for many days 😖 I only buy from reputable sellers and I study the bags very closely, comparing them with my own bags. I understand that there are super fakes out there. That's why I never help anybody authentic bags or 'teach' people how to do it. I can only be responsible for my own purchasing decisions - not others'. 😊

    Among all the shops you filmed in the video, which one you would recommend (i.e. the best deal for a similar birkin or kelly)? I'm going to Tokyo in two days with my parents, but I have only half day to shop (my parents don't like shopping but sightseeing). So I probably can only squeeze half day to visit one or two boutique.

I want to buy something from them but I'm not sure if they sell authentic stuff. What are the chances that they sell authentic handbags? I mean, they're shop is in Omotesando. +Ferry Anolin These shops claim that they only sell authentic bags but it is still important to check carefully and have the bags authenticated ☺️ Thanks for watching 😊

    That's a lot of "Preloved" Hermes bags and its just hard to believe they're all real. Of course they all claim to sell the real ones. I just wonder if they all come with a certificate of authenticity.

      It is important to have the bags authenticated by the right person/people. Don’t buy preloved if you’re not sure about the authenticity.
