The Batmobile comparison is strange and seems misapplied for a sensation effect here. The whole Bat thing was never mentioned when this car was a current vehicle. This was a running / operational concept for a Maybach Coupe and was never put into production. I was lucky enough to get a ride in this beast at a Mercedes training/driving event in Homestead Florida. More impressive than the ride was the sound as it passed us while waiting in the safety of the pits. A whole lotta 12 cylinder noise and the sound of air being pushed out of the way at 200 MPH. Fantastic! Such a contrast to today, as Mercedes and BMW are both being sued by the German Government for not going AA Electric fast enough. Go ahead and shut down the auto industry, political folks, and when you have decided to take down 20 percent of your industry and the tens of thousands of jobs it produces. But that's OK. if you want a gasoline engine as many do here in the middle of the USA, I'm sure the Koreans can help us out. They are getting pretty good at building what people actually want.

Cars dont lose their performance with age. If proper maintenance is performed a 10 year old car with 100,000 miles will be every bit as fast, if not faster, than the day it rolled off the assembly line. 🤦♂️
