I went through a phase of bags, but they just sat in my closet gathering dust. I love to travel and love photography, so I decided to sell many of the bags, and use the money for memories and things I really enjoy.
I definitely think your priorities are straight!! You give to many charities, you do everything for your children and family and much more! You enjoy handbags, you know your limitations, you don’t put anyone in jeopardy. I say do what you enjoy!!❤❤❤❤
Trust me when I say this, your priorities are in the right place! You know what? We all deserve to enjoy our special thing. That hobby or thing (whatever it may be) that brings us joy! I will never forget what my daughter told me years ago when she was 10. She said, Mom, if purses are your thing, and they make you happy, then that's fine. Everyone can love what they want. I thought that was pretty amazing for a little 10 year old. Since that day, I have never spent a day worrying about what handbags I buy. Whether you work hard taking care of your family, or at a job, or both, we all deserve to enjoy and like whatever we like! Don't change. We love you just as is! Love the sports court! Rock Chalk Jayhawks!!
Hello Aaron. Listening to you as watching your past video, you definitely have your priorities strait. Also the basketball court is amazing. It’s a beautiful one.I enjoyed watching
I cringe a little bit when you smoosh that LV 😂 it drives me nuts to see that style of bag smooshed. I think you most definitely have your priorities straight. Have a great weekend with your family and I’m off to watch Julie’s video.
And the sport court yes!! It brings so much joy to your boys’ lives! I sold a LV pochette Métis and bought a killer $2k trampoline 4 years ago and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent! Their joy you can’t put a price on! ❤
I think your priorities are just fine, end of the day we are all bag enthusiasts. We go through buying & selling frenzies, this is normal. This is what gives us joy, and you yourself only know what makes you happy. Life is too short not to have this joy of loving and using handbags, each to their own. Some people who use handbags do not love & appreciate them as we do, so it's hard for others to understand, that is why I love this community & platform we have to share our love, joy & experiences with the wider handbag community. I appreciate you & others so much, tfs, also that basketball court was an amazing idea❤️🙏👜
I’ve seen people do the pay for the person behind you in the drive through and it’s so nice! I had someone do that for me so then in turn I did it next time!
Totally agree on we all have our “thing”. As long as bills are paid and family taken care of I try not to feel guily. I love handbags but some people (usually the ones with new phones, trips all the time, etc) dont understand it haha
Yes, most people have something they love to collect, or do. It gives us something to enjoy and look forward to! Ty so much for watching & commenting ♥️♥️♥️
I agree with what everyone is saying but........I have also seen many utubers buy bags just to have something to make a video about and then turn around and sell them. You know what you can afford so keep it real and you'll be fine!!!
My bag that I let sit is my Louis Vuitton Keepall 55 in monogram. I have had my bag for 2 years 3 months and have used it twice, both road trips🫢😭 I know!!!! I love it I just get nervous traveling with it. I don’t want to be a target but also I don’t want to ruin it. I’ve thought of selling it but I won’t get what I paid. I will have to let it go around half and that’s if I can sell it currently. Ps I love your sports court 😍
Great video! Just watched Julie’s and both of you make good points. I feel experiences are priceless and if a handbag(or any tangible item) is no longer useful or desirable, why not sell it to obtain that experience? My boys are still young (5 and 10) and are interested in soccer. We don’t have room for a sport court but I do want to do something special for them in our back yard. TFS❤❤
Great collaboration between you and Julie! I think your priorities are in order and I admire how you when you decide to sell a bag, you put 2/3 of the funds towards a new purchase. Thank you for sharing!
I think only you know what’s best for your priorities. If you work hard and acquiring bags make you happy then enjoy your bags and shopping for bags or straps and accessories. Sometimes I look at my LV collection and think the same..do I need all these? But I’ve liquidated other bags like you have and I think that helps. Enjoy what you have. If you feel compelled to add a bag that you want and you can do it then you should. Have a great weekend!
That sports court is amazing! I think you are doing great with your selling bags and purchasing experiences. I recently started finding hard-to-find Coach bags and cleaning them up. I'm not a reseller but just enjoy using them and seeing them on the bookshelf I have for them. I work from home and sometimes I'll get one from the shelf and put it on my desk so I can look at it during the day as I work. It just gives me a bit of joy.
This was a great discussion Aaryn. No I don’t think your priorities or your mind are messed up. I think we all have a right and an obligation to ourselves and all our hard work, to treat ourselves to what gives us joy. When we have fulfilled all our obligations and then some, it’s good to do something that makes us all feel good. I have a lot of bags and will continue to buy them as bags are one of my hobbies and bring me joy, but I don’t and never have bought bags at the expense of my other responsibilities. So there is never any guilt about it no matter how much I spend. They are a treat and come after many other things. So all the rules you have placed on yourself are your rules to do with as you like. Keep them or change them at any time. And as long as our obligations don’t suffer, we should do it with no guilt or shame. And I love love love that by the pool speedy with the pink strap!
Hi Aaryn, I think your priorities are straight. You sold to get new bags and paid for your trip which you are going to have so much fun. I believe you know your limits. As I had said before, even if you may not get exactly what you need as far as price on a bag and like you said also, you are not getting anything out of it just sitting on a shelf. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
This was so in depth and good!! I think selling the twist makes total sense. It’s a bag you definitely don’t use at all. New basement furniture down the road sounds fun! ❤ You look beautiful
Aaryn, I love the basketball court! What a blessing that has been for your boys and others in the neighborhood! My son would have loved it! He played ball in school and was really good. What an outlet for the kids to socialize with each other other instead of being on their phones.
I seriously love that bag. The colors are so, so pretty, soft and feminine. LOVE the sport court! One of my co-workers put on in at his home and his family really loves it.
Hi Aaryn! This video is so timely! I struggle with this topic myself, especially now that I started a TH-cam channel two months ago. I'm 50 and with just one income so the pressure to save all the money I can to set myself up for a pleasant retirement without having to work till the very end is real. But now that I have the YT channel, I wonder, did I start my channel at the wrong time? I actually have a video planned on this very question. Anyway, I think your priorities are definitely in line because you are not neglecting anything and you are making wise choices. I absolutely love your final thoughts about having made the best investment in the sports court. It sounds just lovely and it is paying for itself over in over in ways much more important than money. Thanks so much for this great video and all the best to you, Aaryn! ❤❤❤
It can be a real struggle - and TH-cam definitely encourages more consumerism. Try to find topics like this to keep from buying so much...check out Jessie Style from Australia - she does all kinds of videos where no buying is involved ♥️

What is the number one "non necessary" thing you spend money on besides handbags?
Sterling silver jewelry! 😅

Monthly hair & nails 🤭

Skincare and make up! But skincare is necessary right?😬
