- Escape wheel been topped, because of the 2 shorter teeth to get them all the same length. Then the exit pallet was re surfaced by soldered on a piece of thicker spare clock spring steel to compensate for the extra drop, it was also polished up. The extra drop was result of the teeth being shorter. Now an even tick tock and no running problems.
Drop isn't perfect but within limits. been running now for several days and keeping time. So sometime this week will put the strike side back in then, when I am satisfied it is running o.k will put the dial on then back to the customer.
Will have to train up my cat in some basic Horology skills.
Before you train your cat, learn how to talk in your video and do some explanations of what youre wanting to show us
@@tymz-r-achangin It was just to show a couple of collegues the drop of the pallets, to get a 2nd opinion on the pallet action. I can't really send videos via email. So it is just for 2 people really. It did the trick it is within limits of the pallet action. And I didn't want to talk over the beat of the action (tick tock). That may have drowned out the tick tock sound.
@@tymz-r-achangin it was just to show 2 collegues , and I didnt want to drown out the beat of the clock, by overtalking.
