She was (and is) so talented. I love the way she approaches the keys. I'm afraid the record companies didn't know quite how to market her in the early 70's. Besides being so wonderful to see these performances again, they are also important historical records. Thanks TMS!

I thought I knew everything made in the 70s. This one escaped me.

    70's Brittney Spears.

Britney can't play an instrument. And possibly can't sing without the aid of technology.
Of course it's possible Chi Coltrane can't dance, so there's that.

Never heard of this chick before - never heard that song before - didn't like either. I'm sure the song was very personal and therapeutic for her...very typical theme for pretty young women who find out that their pretty face is not enough to keep a man all by itself. And what is it with women anyway trying to turn a man into a "friend" - He's a man lady - treat him like a man - appreciate him as a man - he's a lot less likely to stray if you do that.

I've had this album for years and I never thought it was about a man. Nothing in the lyrics gives that indication.

Yeah never interpreted this song as a love song, I mean you were my friend literally means it is not about a relationship- but to each their own. But dude, don't hate on an obscure artist because you interpret a song one way! She has a lot of great songs
