This movie is a perfect Re-Animator reunion. David Gale (Dr. Carl Hill), Jeffrey Combs (Herbert West as Dr. East here), and Re-Animator producer Brian Yuzna.
Yeup! They were definitely trying to capitalize on the success of the first TMNT film, particularly in its marketing where overseas, it was called “Mutronics: The Movie”
I loved this movie as a kid but now can't seem to find it anywhere, and every time I search for it no matter where I search all im getting is the dark hero movie. So thanks for this.
GOD!!! I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS MOVIE ON TV WHEN I WAS 7 (I STILL HAVE THE VHS TAPE, my father recorded it from H.B.O....just one problem..... watching all these movie clips the VHS that I have shows the violence!!!! For example when a guyver killed the very first zoenoid in the first battle, (or whatever you call them) in this it shows the other solenoids when the guy screams and dies. On my VHS tape it literally shows the guyver ripping off his arm and snapping his neck and throwing him across the building.....no joke
yep! These scenes on the channel are from the 2003 Directors Cut that toned down some of the violence. Recently, Unearthed Films released a 4K remaster of the original negative (gore and all included) with extra commentary and bonus features. It's a GREAT 4K transfer. You should find it online and buy it! Thanks for commenting!
Since this wasn't really explained in the movie, this isn't the real Sean but an alien-like clone of Sean. The real Sean died when he had the control metal pulled from his head.
Yeah, lots of fans believe this. I do wonder too if their is a philosophical aspect to this as well that “could” complicate the discussion. And thanks for commenting!
Well, what happens is that when you and the Bio-Booster armor combine together your brain and the control medal basically become the same thing. So Sean's mind was "saved" in the control medal and it made a new body for him. It's still him, his mind, but in a new body.
@@TheGuyverGeek He says "I came back for you", so I think it's the script's way of saying "He didn't really die, he's become one with the Guyver Unit so it's all him"
I am of the opinion that the user dies on the first bond, which is always depicted as a horribly painful experience that at a minimum knocks the person out. I think everything after that first merge is an alien clone situation
First time I watched this was when I was 10, stumbling upon this "instant cup of WTF" on the Sci-Fi Channel while channel surfing at my grandparents' house. It was disgusting, abhorrent, vulgar, and I couldn't look away. XD
Would love to (and tried), but there is one scene that is copyright protected (Sean becoming the Guyver for the first time) so TH-cam will not let me post it. I've tried a few workarounds, but to no avail. BUT, G2: Dark Hero will be up in both widescreen and theatrical here soon-ish (although it is also blocked in most countries, but not the U.S for some reason).
If she destroys the Guyver unit, she destroys Sean.
Not 100% sure she knows how everything works, BUT I also think she's just panicking also kind of "bluffing"? Kind of....lol
"You can't kill me. I've been rejected by death!" is such a badass line.
It is!

Yes it it!
Combining Jaws AND Alien into one...not many movies do that!
haha! They sure don't! - The Guyver Geek
This is my favorite scene during the first movie 😊
I always liked the music after the parody jaws theme. Thought it was so cool as a kid :)
The villains is like SHEÐDER, BEBOP, ROCKSTEADY AND KRANG FROM TMNT😅😅😅😅
Yeup! They were definitely trying to capitalize on the success of the first TMNT film, particularly in its marketing where overseas, it was called “Mutronics: The Movie”
This is more on the level of TMNT 3

The 4K unreleased version releases on blu-ray on May 21st. You can pre-order it now at various online locations!
The Guyver has been Reborn!! 😃
The amazing part of this scene is how Sean is able to literally grow his body back inside a zoanoid
haha truly
The goat zoanoid is Herbert West. Jeffrey Combs is Dr East, his most famous character is Dr Herbert West.
I didn't know that!
He also played Weyoun from Star Trek DS9 and Ratchet from Transformers Prime.
It’s a Boy!
LOL!! A bio-boosted boy!! - The Guyver Geek
@@TheGuyverGeek It’s very shame that they didn’t include a female Guyver as a main protagonist. Such a waste of opportunity.

2:37. Nice Jaws reference. 😂😂
haha, yeah, a little goofy for sure! But that's its charm!
With a hint of Alien.
With a hint of Alien.
This theme is amazing
Could be my favorite part of the score after the "Jaws" moment
3:07 if that's not love, I don't know what is 😎♥️
haha, I always loved the music in this scene once he comes out of the Zoanoid.

Not clone, Sean is reborn awaken just like anime Sho is reborn control metal awakening make it fast to fight back.

REBIRTH OF THE GUYVER

1:49, “I’s just doin’ my job” why did he sound old beaten down slave when he said that?
That's a question for Screaming Mad George, the director
Skid Mark 💩
lol
Terrible compared to the anime.
It is much different lol I understand fans dislike of the film, but it still holds a special place in my Guyver heart
@@TheGuyverGeekMe too. It's a guilty pleasure.
