Nice video! I have 3 of these tablets (NFE version of course) around the house. All to be an alternative interface to operate our smart home which uses Home Assistant (Fully Kiosk). However one of them I use travel purposes and gaming too. For Xcloud (Xbox Game Pass) I use the XBPLAY app from the Google Store, as it allows for 1080p resolution, where the official Gamepass app is restricted to 720p and it's a blurry mess if I'm honest. I also use Moonlight (via Sunshine on my gaming PC) to remotely play my PC games around the house or away from home. Lastly, I have a bunch of lightweight Android games on it too, such as Baldur's Gate ED, Little Nightmares, Stardew Valley etc and a bunch of Point n Click adventure games (like Broken Sword etc) My only big three negatives with these tablets are: 1. No auto brightness (there's no light sensor) 2. Speaker is terrible 3. No double tap to wake (there's lift to wake, but double tap would have been so much better) Apart from that, they are awesome, nice screen and very snappy for what I want it for.
Yeah its not without its faults, the multi-touch isn't great and the the speak is weak. But working round both with a controller and BT earbuds is great. I'm a big supporter of Moonlight from my minisforum HX80G and I too subscribe to the XBPlay being far superior to stock MS app.
Sure, it's decent little stand. But be warned, once it's stuck in place you won't be removing it in a hurry. 🤣. Aw thanks for that. I think because it's not a super powerful Lenovo it's kinda been passed over, and yet the processor in this is getting popular for mid range handhelds.
Currently have the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 and use it just for video consumption and reading comics. I've wanted to upgrade to a Full HD Tablet and I think this is it. I've seen the previous version of this tablet for $90 but seeing gameplay on this... I'll be getting the upgrade. Have been looking for an informative video like this. Subscribing to the channel.
Go for the NFE version as it's better for Netflix. Make sure you get the pro model so it's got the Helio G99 and you'll love the comic book experience.
It's a digital format I wanted to get into for years but could never find the right tablet at the right price. The Alldocube is ideal as it's high Def, low cost, large but not too large and powerful enough to do a lot more than just read books.
love this setup! Have tried Logitech G cloud, Lgeion Go and currently have steam deck but really want to try this. Love the versatility as you have demonstrated.and for such a low price
Indeed the versatility is one of the features I like most. I used the tablet as a tablet more than anything else but that's part of the benefit. Because I've always got it I can then happily game anytime I want.
Ive been looking for a controller to play ds games vertically on my 8 inch samsung tablet. Thank you so much! I definitely use mine for comic books and gaming too
Great video mate! I have the same tablet and use it for the same purposes. Nice to see that the D8 works well too. This tablet is a great bargain if you get it at a good price.
@handheldgaming4life thank you. I did have the odin 2 and it was great but screen was too small for me... I have the galaxy tab s9 ultra but obviously too big for a handheld where this at 8.5 inches looks ideal.. as long as it plays gamecube and ps2 I'm definitely interested. Look forward to your follow up videos 🙂
@@pbarratt73 I will say PS2 is spotty, needing a bit of tweaking to run at its best. GoW2 for example is running at stock resolution but other games can run at 2x. I'll do a bit more gamecube testing.
I have this exact tablet. I love it. Price-wise, it's so much better than buying an iPad Mini--especially for my purposes. I can play emulation games smoothly up to PS2, besides all the games available on android, of course. I can stream films and games--even from PS5. I can read ebooks and comics comfortably because the screen is so nice and sharp. Unfortunately, the sound department is rather meh, and the battery life is a tad short. I still love it, nonetheless.
Yeah I agree with all of what you say. Battery life can be extended a bit if your sat reading ebooks then turn off all the radio stuff, WiFi, BT etc I agree about the volume but I tend to use earphones and that makes a big difference.
That is the BSP D8, it's a cheap controller off AliExpress. Make sure you don't overdo spend on it. £15 or under $20 is the sweet spot I'd say. It'll handle the Alldocube no problem even incase stock case.
Thanks for the video, I can't decide between this and the doogee t20 mini there is a big price difference between the two t20 mini being £60 cheaper. I will be using it for reading, web browsing and watching movies no gaming. Any opinions welcome.
Not sure for certain, but from what I can see the T20 mini is more of a competitor to Fpad I also reviewed. Which is a fine device for reading and basic media consumption but not a powerhouse when it comes to gaming.
im looking to buy the new iplay 60 mini turbo with an improved Snapdragon 6 gen 1 chip. I need it for mostly ps2 emulation. Do you think that chip will have a big change or not that much difference?
Hey, thanks for the kind words. The stand is just a generic thing by "Techgear" that I found on eBay. Was only a couple of bucks and I take advantage of it frequently when I use the tablet.
I think maybe you're referring to the front end I used when choosing games? i used Emulation Station Desktop Edition, ES-DE. It makes browsing your games really nice but its not an emulator in itself, it just shows the games and then calls up the relevant emulator to play a game you select.
high quality content. i appreciate the different locations and b roll. how do these snap on controllers deal with different usb-c ports? like iplay50 is on top off-center close to the sides. then theres other phone/tablets that have it on the bottom perfectly centered. thanks!
The controllers I've used are all BT based so don't require to plug into the USB port. Obviously this will mean a little more latency than a physically connected controller but I never had any issues in gameplay (that wasn't just a skill issue).
@@handheldgaming4lifethat makes more sense lol i assumed all of these telescope controllers plug in. so basically i can just clamp the controller wherever? cool

How long could I get in battery life if I was only using this for reading PDFs and browsing websites? This has almost sold me since I saw you had comics on there
I'll give it a test on comics only see how long say 10% takes to use up. I've generally used it very mixed when it comes to reading, gaming, surfing. But I feel like the G99 sips power and I don't usually need the screen at full brightness. I'll report back.
