The important thing is to remember that it is still possible to have new experiences and you have to keep going. Turns out I like metal detecting...LOL and am having a blast doing it.
I'm sorry but if you feel old and grumpy merely after 30 then that's on you lol. It's still pretty young imo, besides, it is pretty weird how much value we assign to this arbitrary amount of time based on an arbitrary number system we invented. I wonder how people would feel / behave in a society without time-keeping means.
I almost feel a depression that keeps growing as I truly and purely HATE aging... Feels like life has lost it's purpose. Only in youth life feels meaningful!
Now you put me in a hard spot. Now I want to say it is so, Due to my spiteful side. But my jiminy cricket inside of me wants to tell you that things change and if you're willing to change you'll do just fine. Once a purpose has been lost we find ourselves a new one to keep going. ;) I'm still searching however and most of my pain is due to the fact that I want to learn stuff that requires a young and healthy body, for at least a couple of lifetimes... Where's a lazarus pit when you need one! XD
Well some things in life changes for you weather you want it or not. But as you struggle against the change you often end up in a state where you aren't really happy as it can never really be the same, but you keep holding on. For some it's fairly easy to adapt, for others it takes some time and for a few it's not gonna happen... Bad explaination perhaps can't find a better way for the moment. But If you take me for an example. I loved my life as a young adult. Much freedom, friends I could hang out with a lot and then there was the parties and the effortless training I could endure. But as I get older my friends settles down, having kids and parties as well as the good old hangout with them is far and few, leaving me more alone than everas I have yet been able to find a companion myself and in my age (even if I'm only 30,) it's not a lot harder to find both new friends and a potential mate. A lot more of my time is spent on trying to get a job or working (well it's really education but still,) leaving less time for training. I'm also more vulnerable to injuries and I also have lost endurance, flexibility. both due to age as old injuries starts to remind themselves a lot more and also because I can't get myself to train as much as I once did. didn't mean to paint such a detailed story, but yea... It's a personal example where someone are less willing to change and cling on to try and keep doing same old.
I am a few weeks away from 78. It is shocking to be this old! Love to have had the experiences in a way, tho some were hard experiences. Interesting to have seen all the changes in the world. Mother nature is sure humbling me. No longer pretty, no longer trim, health not the greatest. So happy to have had this trip thru the Galaxy. So many memories; happy ones I live on.
The saddest thing about getting old is celebrities you have read about all your life have their ups and downs like everybody but when one of them gets off the rails in a big way like Robin Williams it just shocks you to the core , I still struggle to look at any of his videos as I did not ever think that life was so tough on him to the point where he done himself in the way he did . .
I don't know how much time I got left, but youth is definitely wasted on the young. I'm 27 and lucky to still be here, but feel I haven't accomplished anything at all. Getting older by the day but still feeling like a kid. It's pretty sad, really.
27 you're just a baby. I'm 77 years old loving life dont think too hard on dying either live for the moment. When its over its over thats ok. Taught myself to paint at 65 and selling well. Travelled the world. Loved and lost. I'm grateful for every second.
I find these interviews quite enjoyable. So much so, that the interview is over before I realize it -- I mean, the time goes by quickly and I find myself wanting more, which is quite rare for a TH-cam video to be so compelling and entertaining. And it's not just this one. It's all of your interviews. Plus, you have a soft sort of way with the guests which is appealing; a respectful approach; you engage them, asking them relevant questions and allow them to answer. Too many others do all the talking or seem to want to monopolize the interview rather than allow the guests to take center stage. In your videos you don't make these mistakes and the result is a truly first-class production that's worth our time/ energy to watch.
Laurel Sheridan Some time these days in this crazier world we now live in ,I sometime think I’m ready for not too older age I don’t fear Death any more and I’m nearly 72,Mike is right the child in You remains forever
dont be so sure what other lives are like....you think being confined to a bed...all alone waiting for a volunteer to bring you a drink/meal is a privilege?...for one example affecting millions
Ill be honest. Unless there is an afterlife where we get to be young again, id rather not be born at all. What you don't know, you don't miss. The worst part is your children having to watch you get old and suffer. Having to leave your loved ones behind. And being too sick to be able to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. I know this is depressing but it makes me angry that life has to be this way.
Yep. My uncle just had a son in June and all I can think about is that this kid is doomed to die one day. There’s no escape. I had an ok childhood but I’d really rather never have been born. Life is 100% a waste of time, we’re just waiting to die
It's gonna be so sad to see this movie legends like Robert Deniro pass away in the future. These talented actors who has made movies since the 60's and 70's.
Philip Magnusson unless he lives to his 100s and is still acting. After which people would not so mourn his passing, but rather celebrate his huge career, long fulfilled life and the huge body of work he has. And besides he's still totally here and will be for a long time to come.
Love these guys...at my age (59) I am wayyyy more stressed out then my care-free years ages 18-35 . Change is a stressful adventure, rather than just an adventure! Age 46 was the end of my loves life...challenging, and sad. I'm with a sweet man who I love, we're very close, but life can be super hard. We will never give up! We will get through it together!
I'm happy I found this interview. I'm 39 and these guys would prolly say that I'm still a kid, but it's good to hear that I've still got time to do the things that I might want to do.... children, etc...
Absolutely wonderful interview, and absolutely awesome interviewer!👍👍. She is a true professional who is very relaxed, not anxious like most so-called journalists, who constantly cut the subjects off, so that they can pretend they are being insightful, when they are really just missing golden opportunities. She understands pacing and waits for the lull that occurs after the subjects have completed their thoughts, and then she calmly proceeds. Very, very good interviewer. She needs to teach some of these veteran journalists, because this is how it is done. You go girl!🤗.
Thank you so much. You have no idea how happy it makes me to read your comment. Thank you again for taking the time to give me such a great compliment. Hope to see you around on my channel :-)
well if im viewing it from my life perspective i think: Im not sad for them, because they lived a life that was 3 times recher in terms of events, than my life will be.
So true what Robert DeNiro said right at the beginning, because if you were a person who turned heads or engaged with the people in your surroundings, that is the first thing your realize, that you are kind of invisible and insignificant...And what Dougls said, that we still so identify with what is in the inside with us.
One of the most poignant and candid interviews with deep conversation that was far beyond simply the film or the usual topics around people of that caliber such as fame, silly 'would you?' questions and so on. An interview to remember.
Its so true.. Youth is wasted on the young... and yes time goes by so fast.. I wished I had listened to my father more when he did tell me what would happen to me when I got old...
The trick of time is that you don't notice when it passes so quick at present but once you turn back and look at least one day behind you would realize how quickly this day passed, the same relating to years, you live and it seems like 360 days are lasting soooo long but when you turn your head back and look at this year you would realize that in reality the time is passing super quickly.
It doesn't matter how old you are embrace everyday and be grateful you're still here to see your child, grandchildren or great grandchildren, look after your health. Walking everyday. Eating just until you are full and being kind to people. Age is just a number. Some people die at birth or die in a car crash at 18. Life is too short. Enjoy every moment. Don't be lonely get a dog. Being older is a gift not everyone is that lucky. These two men have been extremely lucky, they have looks, money and they are still alive!!!!
Where the fuck does time go? So true. More than anything, I hate seeing my parents age. It’s scary, as you get older you learn you’re not indestructible. We all expire & it sucks.
Luis Ricardo Sánchez Bolaños Whatever man! Can you prove that? No, you can’t. Truth is nobody alive knows... we find out when we die or everything goes black, like we never existed.
I just turned 28, and right now I can feel how fast life is, and every year going by. I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to grow old, like Ian Curtis.
I enjoy getting older. I get excited each birthday that I am doing well. This is the best time of my life and I don't feel like my life went by fast so far. Of course I am only 62. But I feel pretty healthy and have much more peace of mind that I had in previous decades.
Agree about having much more peace of mind. Health concerns are for real as our bodies, especially our internal organs, do continue to age...no matter if we take optimal care of ourselves. Hopefully we still have a couple decades of good healthy, fun life left yet!! I am your age.
M.De Niro...my top actor...i am from Montreal....it would be a dream come true to meet him......M.Douglas...amazing as well...and Kirk Douglas...amazing...love them..
I love your interviews! You ask interesting questions of the stars and they really open up to you! I subscribed. Keep up the awesome and interesting topics and interview!
Thankyou gentlemen for your insights and honesty. I will tell you why ageing isnt a drag ! One: because it is with age, one really starts working it out. Two: Your values and friendships and priorities become the forefront and what's truth, instead of all that which is false, petty, or out of reach or unrealistic. Three: All those age beauty spots and character lines and silver linings becoming more evident, is REALLY beautiful and perfectly natural and REAL. Four: You suddenly find you have TIME for your own thought processes and true persona and identity because all the desires for seeking some else's approval, or someone else seeking yours, diminishes, because that simply doesn't GEL in the way it may do when you STILL HAD to TRY, so life isnt as "hard". Five: You realise that it is TIME which is paramount, which invariably leads to one respecting your own, and others TIME, which is a terrific thing. Six. You become closer to God, quite naturally, this happens with age and wisdom which is the most wonderful and gracious happening, when it is happening. Seven. You let go of adrenaline junkie, tyre kicking and vexations because one is able to SPOT these things and thereby avoid heaps heaps more easily. Eight. You no longer take things as given, entitled or granted, which is sheer brilliance in itself AND, nine, with age, doth the taste of wine grow fine, my beautiful friends. I am aging, as are my friends and these people around me, are the people I am aging with and growing older with; AND it keeps getting better, for me personally, it just keeps getting better ! PS: Certainly not ALL, but MANY of these "artists", via their medium and WORK, have given me true consolation, JOY, education and SOLACE during trials, tribulations and dark times during my own journey thus far. And I mean this, they have given me so many multifaceted and positive " things ", that they can never, ever truly understand, how much I love and appreciate them, just for their BEING ! I cannot express this enough. Jamie Lee Curtis, Oh God I love you. Thankyou. These people have helped me via their inspirations and abilities, which I never, ever had when the "girl interrupted" stuff began. I MISS MY DAD SO MUCH. I am shattered and gutted he is gone. He was a hard working, innocent and a very strict " mick", yet was still VERY appreciative of ARTS, and instilled in those who truly knew him, three main important things: GETTING THE JOB DONE. DO THE CRIME, DO THE TIME And ; FACING THE MUSIC. I view this as our common ground. Ox. Ox. Mc.
I hope I do live to get to your age no matter how fast it goes. I'm 43 but mentally I'm 17 but some days physically I feel 71, like right now!! Great actors, legends, hope there around for another 30 years.
Very good topic that addresses our fears, social dynamics(peripheral vision from youngsters caught perfectly) and we all took advantage of time until we notice the changes. Aging sucks. Nice video of the brutal reminder that befalls us all. Death. Sucks
Any time young people muck you, saying you are too old, if you can tell them (in your mind, not verbally): “yeah but you can only dream to be like me when you get my age”, then you know you have achieved a lot in life.
De Niro is so right when he says that time goes so quick. I always remember mum telling me this when I used to spend all my time lazing around, she would say, don't waste your life as it will soon pass you by. That was when I was 25, and here I am typing this up as I turn 66, I just don't know where the time has gone.
One of the much better interviews, I can tell because it's a well known topic that Robert DeNiro doesn't like interviews and in this one he seems so laid back and chilled, lovely to see, good stuff.
@@pxr0583 But why? Death is not something you live through, your own death is not something you live with, it doesn't make sense. Growing older, weaker, less healthy and strong, that is a real thing in everyone's life.
I'm 66 and each morning I get up and look at the sun, the green scenery and I am awed. How is all this possible? Grateful for every moment given. In other words, I'm going to milk it.
Great film, all my favourites rolled into one. I know what they mean about getting old, after my divorce, i was still young and good looking enough to attract 22 year olds - i am now 64 and men still look at me in disbelief that i do not have anyone - lots of the time they think of me as a young chic that's worn out. I don't mind, it's a laugh.
Once an old man told me that the only time he feels he isn't Young is when he looks in the mirror and says to himself who is that and he tilts his head in various ways and realizes I have to except this
My grandmother, who passed away at 98 and a half year old, used to say that old age was a "f*cking b*tch" ! And would complete: " You're going to know what I mean if you are lucky enough to get there"!She was a tower!!! She lived through two world wars, the advent of the car, the telephone, the airplane, radio, television...Always positive! When we would complain about something she would say: " you don't know how hard is it to wake up early in the morning, having to put wood in the stove and make a fire, in order to cook a meal !" She was always so grateful for having an electric/gas stove in the kitchen! And always mesmerized with its buttons! Would say : " By a push of a button...and there's fire! " ( like someone would refer to a miracle!)Little simple things, like matches, were subject of her admiration and gratitude!Wise woman! A privilege to have known you and have had you as my bastion!Cheers!

I wonder how people would feel / behave in a society without time-keeping means.
30 is very young
I almost feel a depression that keeps growing as I truly and purely HATE aging... Feels like life has lost it's purpose. Only in youth life feels meaningful!
Never forget that where there's a will, there's a way.
I don't understand what that has to do with anything here?
For it can surmount the ravages of time.
Now you put me in a hard spot. Now I want to say it is so, Due to my spiteful side. But my jiminy cricket inside of me wants to tell you that things change and if you're willing to change you'll do just fine. Once a purpose has been lost we find ourselves a new one to keep going. ;)
I'm still searching however and most of my pain is due to the fact that I want to learn stuff that requires a young and healthy body, for at least a couple of lifetimes...
No one takes men seriously at early or mid 20's anyway
To be a young man with the knowledge I have now. Indeed.
Wow can't believe how much you got out of Robert de niro. Great interview
Rich Jones ...he also opens up with graham Norton.
I am their age and I appreciate their honestly revealing what we of this age are all going through.
The saddest thing about getting old is celebrities you have read about all your life have their ups and downs like everybody but when one of them gets off the rails in a big way like Robin Williams it just shocks you to the core , I still struggle to look at any of his videos as I did not ever think that life was so tough on him to the point where he done himself in the way he did . .
Life is precious and so is the work we do with it. Love and respect to the two brilliant thespians for over 40 years of amazing work, thank you.
I don't know how much time I got left, but youth is definitely wasted on the young. I'm 27 and lucky to still be here, but feel I haven't accomplished anything at all. Getting older by the day but still feeling like a kid. It's pretty sad, really.
Same
Same it's fucked up. My experiences are so limited due to my fucked up childhood... I'm stressing a little now over it.
27 you're just a baby. I'm 77 years old loving life dont think too hard on dying either live for the moment. When its over its over thats ok. Taught myself to paint at 65 and selling well. Travelled the world. Loved and lost. I'm grateful for every second.
Are you now 32?
How are you doing now?
Be grateful, geting old is a privilege denied to many.
Laurel Sheridan That's a great comment. Thank U
Laurel Sheridan Some time these days in this crazier world we now live in ,I sometime think I’m ready for not too older age
I don’t fear Death any more and I’m nearly 72,Mike is right the child in You remains forever
dont be so sure what other lives are like....you think being confined to a bed...all alone waiting for a volunteer to bring you a drink/meal is a privilege?...for one example affecting millions
Privilege these nuts! I don't wanna live to be 30.
@@mv1991 that's pretty sad tbh
Everyone gets old, there is nothing you can do about it.
If they're lucky, yes. (Not everyone gets old.) Birthdays should be celebrated!
We tried to do everything we could.

This interview is awesome!! And they're fantastic. I feel their pain....I walk into my son's work and everyone calls me Josh's mom....lol
+Smiling Babs hey josh's mom!
Wwwhich probably makes you at least in your early thirties. * shrugs *
More like mid 50s with a full grown adult son. But what's your point?
It's not obviously indicative of decrepitude to share the title of many a teenage mother.
Josh’s mom she’s got it going on!
de niro talked !!
yapppp !!!!
+Philip magnusson.. de niros last good film was in the 90z...he's been coasting since..
I would cry like a baby when Bobby dies. Fuck God, dont let De Niro die..I beg. Atleast make him live 100 years.
Imran Ali doesnt change the fact that he is the best actor ever born. Heard of age?
Philip Magnusson unless he lives to his 100s and is still acting. After which people would not so mourn his passing, but rather celebrate his huge career, long fulfilled life and the huge body of work he has. And besides he's still totally here and will be for a long time to come.
But they're not waiting to die. They're older but still healthy and active.
So far I don't mind aging because I am not superficial! I desire more meaningful things than earthly nonsense
GOD BLESS 😇🙏😇🙏 Michael Douglas and Robert Deniro!!!!! Thank You 🙏 for all Classic Movies!!!!
There's something very sad about this interview. These guys realize
they're at the end of their lives and the best is behind them.
+grubal muruck or in front of them.
well if im viewing it from my life perspective i think: Im not sad for them, because they lived a life that was 3 times recher in terms of events, than my life will be.
How? Aren't there roles for older people? This is after one of those you know. Not the best but quite funny.
Thank you! Really appreciate that.
I really don't think Michael Douglas has much to worry about his Dad, Kirk Douglas is 101 years old .
Great interview! Definitely agree with Michael Douglas about getting more comfortable with yourself as you get older.
Its so true.. Youth is wasted on the young... and yes time goes by so fast.. I wished I had listened to my father more when he did tell me what would happen to me when I got old...
MIKE DEE the guy who said he is 27 years old 3 years ago he is 30 already ,time goes by so fast
@@blueheaven2135 33 now
The trick of time is that you don't notice when it passes so quick at present but once you turn back and look at least one day behind you would realize how quickly this day passed, the same relating to years, you live and it seems like 360 days are lasting soooo long but when you turn your head back and look at this year you would realize that in reality the time is passing super quickly.
Very true, I wish I was younger with what I know now
What do you know know
awesome interview. VEry interesting. Great host
Stephen Wright Payne Thanks :-)
Two my favorite actor Michael Douglas,Robert De Niro !
De Niro is still iconic
It doesn't matter how old you are embrace everyday and be grateful you're still here to see your child, grandchildren or great grandchildren, look after your health. Walking everyday. Eating just until you are full and being kind to people. Age is just a number. Some people die at birth or die in a car crash at 18. Life is too short. Enjoy every moment. Don't be lonely get a dog. Being older is a gift not everyone is that lucky. These two men have been extremely lucky, they have looks, money and they are still alive!!!!
I bet they both walked away from that interview thinking or saying "THAT was depressing to talk about!" HA!!
Michele Bryan yes I don't know why that dash girl wanted to know these boring information which we already know well.
Where the fuck does time go? So true. More than anything, I hate seeing my parents age. It’s scary, as you get older you learn you’re not indestructible. We all expire & it sucks.
JENNA we do not expire, we tracend, we move forward, we are in the world of the dying going into the world of the living
Luis Ricardo Sánchez Bolaños BS. Sorry.
Luis Ricardo Sánchez Bolaños Whatever man! Can you prove that? No, you can’t. Truth is nobody alive knows... we find out when we die or everything goes black, like we never existed.
My mum died when l was 39, my dad has cancer now. Im 44.
I dont get along with my parents am 21 wat would u say abt zat@@ferise1
To me they both look great for their ages and they both have great hair 😍
Not only 2 great actors...2 great human being with great inner thoughts about life in itself!!!
Fabulous interview!
+Dan Bolivar Thank you!!
Best actors ever! God bless.
I just turned 28, and right now I can feel how fast life is, and every year going by. I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to grow old, like Ian Curtis.
Brilliant interviews. Others: take note.
+0KJo THANK YOU :-)
9 years ago.... time fly....
62 is old.
Nahh
growing old sucks but growing old alone with no family or nobody is twice as bad.
Trance_World_Artists 2014 Hey, turning 27 this month & man I'm freaking out, so close to 30. Any advice?
Trance_World_Artists 2014 its sad to be alone dear
MrYnoter dont worry once you 30 all of the sudden you will be 40 ,years goes by fast like a day as you get older
MrYnoter enjoy while you still young
@Trance_World_Artists 2014 But I'm willing to bet that you have good friends. It can make all the difference in the World!!😉
I've met Douglas in person at Mykonos island in 2005. With Catherine Zeta Jones. He's so down to earth guy. But De Niro he looks so cool guy too :)
M.De Niro...my top actor...i am from Montreal....it would be a dream come true to meet him......M.Douglas...amazing as well...and Kirk Douglas...amazing...love them..
They both seem like they're blazed. LOL
Never say life is short...Life is Precious 🙏💜🙏
I love your interviews! You ask interesting questions of the stars and they really open up to you! I subscribed. Keep up the awesome and interesting topics and interview!
SurfWave01 Thank you so much. Really appreciate you saying that. And I will. Off to interview Michael Douglas for Ant-Man this week :-)
He was a hard working, innocent and a very strict " mick", yet was still VERY appreciative of ARTS, and instilled in those who truly knew him, three main important things:
GETTING THE JOB DONE.
DO THE CRIME, DO THE TIME
And ; FACING THE MUSIC.
I view this as our common ground.

Beautiful thoughts, here!
Glad to have read them.
I hope I do live to get to your age no matter how fast it goes.
I'm 43 but mentally I'm 17 but some days physically I feel 71, like right now!! Great actors, legends, hope there around for another 30 years.
It is so nice to see older guys still with all their hair! It gives me some hope!
"when you get there and you look back" - so true
Michael looks so much like his father. Awesome interview.
I’m scared to get old
Don`t be. Be scared NOT to get old.
@@pxr0583 But why? Death is not something you live through, your own death is not something you live with, it doesn't make sense.
Growing older, weaker, less healthy and strong, that is a real thing in everyone's life.
Not in "everyone`s" life. You could die tragically young, before you have discovered your own potential.....that`s the really scary thing.
You both are fortunate. Lots of people don't have enough money to travel and they are living on Social Security.
I don't mind, it's a laugh.
great hair and good looks on both these wonderful actors and men ! love them !
a very nice message from M.Douglas = "just keep working on/at it" .... very applicable in every aspect of life ..... 👑👑👑👑
the young really don't know how short life is. this statement is true Just yesterday I was as young as the young.
This is the most talkative I've seen Robert DeNiro been during an interview. Probably cause it's not about the movie making process.
It's weird just being completely ignored when you get beyond a certain age.
