It makes me wonder how many fans caught the piano version of this playing in the chapter before the epilogue. (Those who know what I am talking about would get the reference).
It's hard to find another anime like this. It really does. When i just try to watch other anime, i subconciously compared to them to this series, and they pale in comparison. Such a masterpiece and such an amazing soundtrack.
Indeed, if there was one series that Ufotable could present as a work of art, it would be this one. A shame that most if not all of their recent works all feel like cheap popcorn entertainment in comparison.
J Bowman i see your point. With the exception of fate/zero, everything they did lately isn't as good as this one. Of course, animation-wise they improved a lot. But story-wise, not so much. I still remember the disappointment i have when i watch Fate UBW. The story, the themes, and especially the soundtrack. They are uncomparable to this series
Entertainment Junkie Ufotable isn't responsible for the plot, kara no kyoukai and fate series are all under type moon world, written/supervised by Nasu Kinoko.
Junichi Hirashima oh yeah i know that. But they are the ones who adapted the novel into the anime, and they do make them look good and translated the story well into the visual medium. So i think they at least deserves some credit story-wise.
Funny how I actually listened to this song without even knowing it was from this anime (when I was in fact 10-12 years old). When I heard this, I was shocked with a sudden hit of nostalgia. And it further cemented this anime as my SECOND favorite of ALL TIME. Such a shame that Kalafina is gone, but at least Kajiura and Ufotable are still thriving. This anime resonated with me on many levels. I rewatched it 3 times already, and this is actually rare for me to do this nowadays, but every single time was worth it. Sorry, I also, usually, don't fanboy this much over something, but I think it's worth it in regards to this amazing story.
Been looking for this ending for a long time, thanks for uploading. Funny thing, have you noticed how a ton of Japanese songs have "towards a new future/tomorrow" in them? I hope it can at least somewhat inspire their youth which lately grew very pessimistic :(
@@destroyerinazuma96 Cool :))) The ads I saw were physical ones placed at Train stations/ malls. I saw the ads with that phrase in several parts of Japan - Tokyo, Hakodate (part of where you lived in omg), Osaka.
@@faithyap8003 I've to Hakodate once (mostly resided in Sapporo). Not a bad place to live I think, though when I arrived with a friend it was freezing cold.
I don't know about the general oppinion, but I liked it a lot (my third favourite) and a friend of mine loved it. Maybe it is because Paradox Spiral is so popular and everyone talks about it.
I feel like that 1st and 2nd movie are the most underrated because they do a bit more than just pretty animations and you actually need to pay a bit more attention to what's being said between the characters. Overlooking View had an interesting metaphor regarding suicide that even I couldn't fully grasp during my first watch, and Murder Speculation (Part 1) first truly introduces Shiki and Mikiya as characters. Most people dismissed this movie as action-less character exposition, but the movie truly said a lot about the two and their personalities.
The 2nd is awesome. Totally. In my opinion, it's the movie that breaths life into the story. It expanded the main characters backstory, and establishes their characterizations. It also gave me reasons on why i should care about the characters and overall, felt very personal in terms of the movie's focus. I just love it.
Hello! Kohaku this and many of kalafina's songs are beautiful and beautiful but I wanted to know if you could upload Tsukihie's openings which are also an icon .. at least for me ..
Isn't that the third ending, though? The one that plays at the end of Kiritsugu's flashback? I'll upload the video soon, after I finish with the second ending.
Perfection. You cannot usually find a masterpiece like Kara no Kyoukai

damn that was the climax of the whole anime. would've been 100x times better if SPOILERS kokutou actually died
@@eduarddv00 why man. Im happy they got a happy ending together. Would've not been able to function for weeks if that happened
@@eduarddv00 If Kokutou actually did die, Shiki would probably kill herself also
Hail Kalafina

My fav kalafina song ^^
Overwhelmingly loaded with emotions.
I like this and every kara no kyoukai kalafina endings because they give nostalgia
The meaning of the last part of the song make easily the most beautiful lyrics of any song I've heard.
I love to see Shiki so calm in this background picture
absolutely love these series
my heart aches!!! this song is too good for my soul!!
It’s 2022 and still one of your favorites past old me . Good taste G!

You can also find "towards a new future/tmr" in countless Japanese ads. Saw so many of them with this phrase while I was in Japan.

Fun fact: this song inspired a writer who wrote a masterpiece manhwa like " into the light once again" the lyrics are the same as the story💙💙
