  • For glueing parts together the textured surface from the stock Vyper bed is less than idea, so to avoid the mess and cleanup from using gluestick on the smooth, non PEI side of the plat I grabbed one of these sheets to try.
This is how I fitted it and the results I got.
I will add a link below, its not an affiliate link because I have absolutely no idea how to even make one :D
I am pretty pleased with it first impression wise, obviously I have no idea how long it will last, but would think a fair old time.
When fitted it does reduce the mag grip on the sheet if you use the texture side so be aware of that, it still grips but not quite as strong, I dont see me using the texture side much to be honest so its not going to be an issue for me.
I have, as you may have noticed, installed a new video editor and just getting to grips with it, new GFX card on route too because with onboard grafix its SLOOOOOW!!!!
So starting to get my act together.
Hope you find it useful, till next time, cheerybye..

We see many people turning the plate over to get smooth bottom olin the print, but certainly adhesion is not as easy. Keep us posted on how well you like this after some time.
    Louise, thank you again.

I will do.. its sure working well so far, does not release as easily when cool as the tex side, but I am not going to complain about it NOT letting go :D

Hi. Thanks for the video. You give good clear instruction which is very much appreciated. I have a Vyper and am a little lost at trying to adjust the z offset. Wondering if you can do a video or point me to a good one. Thanks. Paul

I did, but not on youtube and no longer have access to it..
I would advise a small model like cali cube, add a skirt with a 30 lines and a skirt distance of 20mm..
Print it, making sure to set initial layer height to 0.3mm always use 0.3mm initial layer, and print it.
As its printing use display, tools menu, z offset, to live adjust it.
Always let it print 4 or 5 laps and then recheck so it has time to settle into new setting.
If you have gaps between lines, or it does not stick to bed, or there are grooves between linez its too high..
If there are ridges between lines, or it feels gritty like sandpaper or the inside edge starts to wrinkle and lift its too low.
Prefect setting the skirt will be silky smooth when stroked with and across the lines, almost glass like.
If you run out of time before getting it, just cancel the print and reprint it for another 30 lines to play with..
The offset will only be saved as default when you ckick ok to exit tools, if you use the back icon at the top it will only apply till you reboot the printer
