McNeil River Alaska Brown Bear Charge. Monster Trophy Class Brown Bear

Here is a little bit of the footage I shot on McNeil River down on the Alaska Peninsula. Check out Luther,. He is estimated to weigh in at a whopping 1500 lbs (per Alaska F&G). He is a world record class Brown Bear by any standard or unit of measure. A Scared up on old battle ax of a bruin! He is the man on the river. Everybody makes room for "The Devil" of McNeil River. brown bears up in alaska are much more concerned about getting their daily fill of salmon. brown bears really only attack if they're startled or if you get too close to cubs. in this video, the bears are well aware of the people, so as long as they stay calm and don't agitate the bears they'll be fine.

man bears are an awesomely powerful creature but the one thing i really dont like about them is they have no sympathy for their pray WHATSOEVER. other animals like cats n such will sometimes try to kill you first by making you bleed out, or suffocating you... i guess thats just the easiest way for them to ensure that they dont get harmed by you when theyre eating you... big bear probably dont have to worry about that they just rest all their weight on you and crush you, rip pieces off 1 by 1.... damn, nature is brutal.
